Pokemon Go: Using Pidgey Weedle And Other Low

Pokemon Go Evolving – How To Gain XP Fast

Once youve caught one or two of any given Pokemon the temptation is obviously to not catch any more of them. Dont listen to that temptation: keep catching stuff! Heres why:

The two highest experience games in the game are when you catch a Pokemon youve never owned before or when you evolve a Pokemon rewarded every time you do so. As such, you can catch a bunch of Pidgey, Weedles, or Caterpies and evolve them even if you send them to the professor afterwards, youre rewarded candy for that action and you keep the experience.

Each Pokemon caught will reward you 3 candies, and additional candy can be obtained by sending duplicates to the professor. Itll be impossible to evolve every single one you catch due to the economy of the candies required for the evolution, but if youre anything like me youll find yourself in possession of 20 or 30 of these Pokemon in the early stages of the game.

Abuse that catch as many as you can and evolve them to enjoy the experience bonus. Make the most of them by stockpiling them and evolving them all at once part of the lucky egg trick but more on that in a moment.

How To Choose Your Buddy

You can select a Pokemon to travel alongside you. Does it actually walk with you on the main screen? No, but it does stand next to you in the profile screen and a little icon displaying your chosen Pokemon shows up next to your avatar icon on the field. To actually select a buddy Pokemon, you need to tap on the picture of your Trainer in the lower left corner of the main screen. Then tap on the Menu button on the lower left. Tap on the Buddy icon between the Journal and Customize options. Then, tap on the Pokemon you want as your Buddy.Note: On the Pokemon screen, youll see a speech bubble icon next to the Pokemon you chose as your Buddy, so you can keep track of what youre Pokemon are up to.

What Is Xp In Pokmon Go And Why Do You Want It

XP stands for Experience Points, and it’s what you need to collect to increase your level. As your level goes up, you get access to Gyms, to Max Revives, to Pinap and Nanab Berries, to Great and Ultra Balls, to Evolution Items, Friendship, Trading, Special Research, and more.

It also lets you hatch and catch higher level Pokémon from eggs and in the wild, and power up your Pokémon’s CP and HP, so they survive longer and do more damage in battles.

The amount of XP you need to level up is different for different levels. For example, it only takes 1,000 XP to go from level one to level two. But it takes 25,000 XP to go from 19 to 20, and a whopping 5,000,000 XP to go from 39 to 40. Getting to level 40 takes a combined 20,000,000 XP

Get Xp In Pokemon Go By Playing Daily And Spinning Poke Stops

Pokemon GO has daily XP streak rewards for capturing Pokemon and spinning Poke Stops consistently. These are some of the best ways to earn XP in the game.

Capturing a Pokemon at least once a day will earn you 500 XP for each of the first six days and a whopping 2,000 XP on the seventh. Similarly, spinning at least one Poke Stop for six days in a row will get you 500 XP daily for six days and 2,000 XP on the seventh. As a bonus, spinning a new Poke Stop for the first time will get you 250 XP.

You can also earn XP by spinning Poke Stops that are part of a Gym with 25 to 100 XP rewards given for spinning a rival teams Gym, depending on your Gym medal level, and 31 to 125 XP for spinning a Gym owned by your team.

While at a Pokemon GO Gym, give a friendly Pokemon a berry to get a 25 XP reward and defeat an opposing teams Pokemon for a 100 XP reward. Lucky enough to encounter a Raid in a Gym? You can earn 3,000 XP for defeating a regular Raid Boss and a massive 10,000 XP for defeating a Legendary Raid Boss.

While visiting Poke Stops, you may encounter the Pokemon GO Team Rocket leaders Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo or even trigger one of the many Pokemon GO Giovanni meets. You can choose to avoid these battles if you want but, if you decide to confront these villains and defeat them, you can earn a variety of items and a chance to catch a rare Pokemon which can get you even more XP.

Can You Get Stardust In Pokmon Go From Eggs

How Much Xp Do You Get From Evolving

Yup. You still get large amounts of Stardust from hatching Pokémon Eggs. The amount of Stardust varies by the type of Egg but also randomly at the time you hatch it.

  • 400-800 Stardust from a 2 KM Egg.
  • 800-1600 Stardust from a 5 KM Egg.
  • 1600-3200 Stardust from a 10 KM Egg.

The lower levels are more typical than the higher levels, sadly, but if you invest in Incubators and walk a lot, you’ll grow your Stardust steadily.

Should I Use A Lucky Egg When Evolving

Pokemon Go #1 – One Lucky Egg = 63,000 xp (Mass Evolution Session)

Even if players have the evolved form of the common Pokemon, the XP given during evolution is phenomenal. If players find that they have far too many common Pokemon on deck, just hold onto them and evolve them while using the Lucky Egg. The Incense will be perfect to use when evolving Pokemon as well.

Pair A Lucky Egg With An Incense Item Or Lure Module

If you get a Lucky egg, it allows you to earn double experience points for 30 minutes. Two easy ways to earn a lot of XP points are by catching or evolving Pokémon. Catching a new Pokémon gives you 100 XP. Evolving Pokémon gives you 500 XP. When you have the Lucky Egg in play, you’ll gain 200 XP for any new captures and 1,000 XP for any evolution.

If you have a lot of Pokémon to evolve wait to do it until you have a Lucky Egg.

Why add the incense or lure modules? Those attract Pokémon for 30 minutes exactly. Time a Lucky Egg to go at the same time as a Pokémon lure and start watching the experience points roll in as Pokémon after Pokémon comes to you.

Mass Evolving And Lucky Eggs

Evolving a Pokémon gives 500 XP which is a pretty huge amount. It also happens very quickly and can be delayed to a convenient time, making it a perfect situation for using a Lucky Egg for double XP.

You also often discover new Pokémon in this manner which also gives a base 500 XP that gets doubled.

In the timespan of one Lucky Egg, you can evolve roughly 70 Pokémon.

Timing your evolution spree to coincide with PokéStops or eggs hatching gives you even more XP and new Pokédex entries!

Should I Evolve 4 Star Pokemon

You can check out our tips for evolving Pokémon in Pokémon Go for more detail, but generally its advisable to evolve your high-IV Pokémon before you start spending Stardust to Power Up and increase its Level. Thats because each time a Pokémon evolves, although its IVs stay the same, its moveset is randomised.

Lighten Your Load Throw Away Potions

How Much Xp Do You Get From Evolving

If youre anything like us, you shoot from the hip and let Pokeballs fly where they may. And, if youre anything like us, eventually, youre going to run out of Pokeballs that way. And if you stroll by a Pokestop, chances are your bag will be full and you will be unable to collect more Pokeballs! Well, dont let that stop you. Just open your inventory and chuck some potions. Chances are you dont need 99 of every Potion type, so get rid of some and youll get your Pokeballs back in no timeso long as you stroll by more Pokestops, or wait around for them to refresh.

What If I Want A New Buddy

To replace your Buddy, click on the Trainer avatar picture on the main screen, then tap the Pokemon Buddy on the Trainer profile screen. After that, tap the Swap icon on the lower right. You’ll get a message that asks if you’re absolutely sure you want to swap buddies. Tap Yes, if you’re a fair weather friend. But beware you’ll lose any progress you have made if with your Buddy if you swap too soon! You’ll want to swap Pokemon Buddies out after walking the full distance for a Candy. Also, you should not evolve your Buddy, at least not until after you’re done walking and collecting Candy for it. When you evolve your Pokemon, that creature’s Candy resets. So, to repeat: Do. Not. Evolve. Your. Buddy. Wait until you got enough Candy, then evolve.

Turn Off Ar To Make Capturing Easier

Capturing Pokemon with AR on is part of the fun, especially when the pocket monsters pop up in inappropriate places, but it’s way easier to capture Pokemon without worrying about aiming your phone camera. Plus, strangers, for the most part, don’t like having phones pointed at them. Why not turn off AR and relieve them of social anxiety? You can do that by tapping the AR toggle when you’re capturing wild Pokemon. Pokemon will then sit still on a grassy field, though they will occasionally hop or gyrate to make capturing difficult. But at least this way you can focus on just the Pokemon, and not worry about reorienting the camera or suffering the death stares of real-life NPCs.

Can You Get Stardust In Pokmon Go From Gyms

You can’t get Stardust from battling at Gyms, but you can get it for feeding Pokémon on Gyms if they’re from the same team.

  • 20 Stardust per Berry fed to a friendly Pokémon on a Gym.
  • 2000 Stardust per 10 Berrys fed to 10 friendly Pokémon on Gyms per 30 minutes.

You get Stardust for every Berry you feed to your own Pokémon, or any Pokémon on a Gym controlled by your team, up to a maximum of 10 Berries to 10 Pokémon every half hour. So, feed a Berry to 10 Pokémon, or feed 10 Berries to a single Pokémon, and you get 200 Stardust but it costs you 10 Razz, Pinap, or Nanab Berries. Feed 10 Berries to 10 Pokémon, and you get 2000 Stardust but it costs you 100 Berries.

So, to equal the maximum reward from the old Defenders Bonus, you would have to feed 250 Berries at the cost of 250 Berries every 21 hours.

To make matters more complicated, you also have to find Pokémon that need to be fed, and Pokémon that need to be fed up to 10 Berries. Since everyone interested in Stardust is competing to feed the same friendly Pokémon on the same Gyms, opportunities can be hard to come by. And that means Stardust can be hard to come by.

You can also get Stardust from beating Raid Bosses:

  • 500 Stardust per Raid Boss beaten.

That’s in addition to the usual amount for catching them afterward.

Used Incense Then You Gotta Move

*SECRET XP HACK* – TOP 3 WAYS TO GET THE MOST XP GAINS for LEVEL 40 & 50! | Pokémon GO

Wily Reddit users found a way into the games code to figure out how Incense works. In case you need a reminder, Incense covers your Trainer in a pink, fluffy fragrance that attracts wild Pokemon to your location for 30 minutes. But you cant just be complacent and sit there waiting for Pokemon. If you stay still, youll only see one Pokemon every five minutes, which isnt a great way to spend your time. Instead, take a walk and youll lure one Pokemon every 200 meters.

If you want to rest on your laurels, then the Lunar Module is the item you want. It acts the same as the incense, except it attracts Pokemon to your position. A nice option for those who dont feel like huffing down the block on a hot summer day.
