Pve Offensive Moves Explanation
Frost Breath is marginally better than Ice Shard, though the two are very close.
Blizzard is on par with Ice Beam. Ice Beam has the advantage of being a 2-bar move, but its long animation time keeps it even with Blizzard.
- Icy Wind‘s low damage and long animation time prevent it from being useful.
- Hurricane offers no synergy with Ice-type moves but has stronger DPS than Icy Wind.
- Ancient Power has no use on Articuno.
- Return is basically worthless.
How To Catch Articuno
Because Articuno is a Legendary Pokémon, youll want to keep an eye out for any nearby Legendary Raids if you want to try and capture it. Once you find a Legendary Raid where Articuno is the raid boss, its time to assemble your team of Pokémon and gather a few friends. Recent reports suggest that Articunos raid boss CP can be as high as 37,603, so this is definitely a fight you wont want to go into alone.
As for which specific Pokémon you should bring into battle against Articuno, just think back to what ice and flying Pokémon types are weak to in the standard Pokémon games. Rock Pokémon like Golem and Omastar are essential picks when trying to catch Articuno, as their Rock Throw and Stone Edge abilities can dole out high amounts of damage.
Steel, Electric, and Fire Pokémon are solid choices as well. Just make sure you dont take any Grass, Bug, or Ground Pokémon into the fight since Articuno will make quick work of them even if they have a high CP level.
Legendary Pokemon Spawn Rates
We did say a legendary Pokemon needs to be rare and they dont come any rare than these four
They were so rare than back in the days of Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow that you had one opportunity to catch them! Thats right, one! If you spent over 24 hours on a game, found Mewtwo and failed to capture it for whatever reason that was your once chance gone!
Hopefully most of you saved the game before battling these legends.

How To Earn The Articuno Zapdos & Moltres Master Titles In Pokmon: Lets Go Pikachu & Pokmon: Lets Go Eevee
Firstly, in order to become a Master of a specific Pokémon, you will need to have that Pokémon, so if you havent caught the likes of Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres yet, youre going to need to change that. If you have caught them though, you can always attempt to catch one in the wild, should you wish to attempt to get one with better IVs and stats.
The second step in attaining mastery over them, is to make them become powerful enough to impress their associated Master Trainers. This can be done via intense levelling up, in combination with feeding them with a lot of Candy, since each Legendary Bird Pokémon needs to have 7,500CP.
Once Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres have reached 7,500 CP, it is time to hunt down the Master Trainers who wish to see them, which in itself is an easy task. Although the Master Trainers are not in the direct area of where you discover each Legendary Bird Pokémon, they can be found in the vicinity.
Upon locating each Master Trainer, you will be required to have the required Pokémon in the top left slot of your party, and no, having them out of their Poké Ball will not help you. Upon meeting the requirements of each Master Trainer, a short one-sided discussion will take place and when it is over, you will be bequeathed the title associated with each Master Trainer.
Videos pertaining to each Master Trainer covered in this guide can be seen here:
Who Is Better Zapdos Or Articuno

Suggested Pokmon Toground Zapdos
The Electric- and Flying-type Zapdos is weak only againstIce-type and Rock-type attacks, and it isn’t doubly vulnerable to either type. It’s also resistant to Ground-type attacks, so the tactics you’d use againstother Electric-type Pokémon won’t work well against Zapdos. Ground-type Pokémonwill still take the least damage from Zapdos’s Electric-type attacks, andDragon-, Electric-, and Grass-type Pokémon will take reduced damage, too.Zapdos will quickly decimate your Water-type and Flying-type Pokémon withsupereffective damage, so deploy them with caution.
No one type resists Zapdos’s attacks while dealingsupereffective damage in return. That leaves Golem’s two types overwhelminglythe best choiceits Rock-type attacks will be super effective, and as aGround-type Pokémon, it’ll take reduced damage from Zapdos’s attacks. Rhydonshares this optimal combination, but it’ll deal much less damage because it can’tlearn a Rock-type Fast Attack to go along with the Charged Attack Stone Edge.Fellow Rock-type Tyranitar’s Fast Attacks won’t be super effective either, plusit lacks Rhydon’s resistance to Electric-type attacks. Tyranitar’s astronomicalstats still make it a good choice if it knows the supereffective Stone Edge, though.
Most Ground-type Pokémon don’t deal enough damage to bestrong choices, but don’t overlook Piloswine. The Swine Pokémon will takelittle damage from Zapdos’s attacks while dealing impressive damage inreturnif it knows the Charged Attack Avalanche.
How Many Trainers Are Needed
Articuno can be defeated with two trainers, but if you cannot guarantee the top counters with maxed out CP and the best moves, your best bet is to make sure you have three or more players.
Using the Circle Lock Technique to guarantee Great or Excellent throws, along with Golden Razz Berries, is the best way to catch Articuno.

How To Get Shiny Articuno In Pokemon Go
As is usually the case with legendary raids when the shiny variant is in the game, completion of the raid will have a 5% chance of rewarding a shiny. If you’re lucky enough to get one, a shiny legendary is an insta-catch as long as you’re accurate with your throw so make sure you use a Pinap Berry to maximise the candy gains.

Who Is Articuno In Pokmon Go
One of three Legendary birds from the Kanto region of Gen I, Articuno is the first Legendary Pokémon in the National Pokédex, as well as the mascot for Team Mystic. Along with Zapdos and Moltres, these three forces of nature are ruled by Lugia, the only Pokémon capable of keeping them in balance. Articuno is also the first Legendary Pokémon to have a regional variant, with its Galarian form being a Psychic and Flying type.
Only the original Kanto version of Articuno is available in Pokémon Go for now. How To Beat Articuno In Pokemon Go
Team Mystic got a big surprise on Saturday when Pokemon Go announced that Articuno would join Lugia as the first Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Go. While Articuno is the weakest of the Legendary Birds, it should still be a challenge for most trainers, especially since its stats get a big boost as a Raid Boss.
Although a lot of sites recommended that players bring Rock-Type Pokemon to Legendary Raid battles, that strategy might not work with Articuno. Articuno’s Ice-Type attacks would wreck Pokemon like Golem and Rhydon since Ice is effective against Ground-Type attacks.
Most raid battles come down to a combination of having a numbers advantage and having luck on your side. Here’s a couple of tips that could also help you beat Articuno in battle:
Suggested Pokmon Tolick Lugia
Battling the stout Lugia will be a drawn-out affair, but youcan speed things up by taking advantage of its weaknesses against Dark-,Electric-, Ghost-, Ice-, and Rock-type attacks. Lugia can use Flying-,Psychic-, Water-, and even Dragon-type attacks, so you’ll want to tailor yourparty depending on the Lugia you encounter. Stay away from Fighting-typePokémonthey have a disadvantage against both of Lugia’s types.
The best partner against Lugia is undoubtedly Tyranitar. TheArmor Pokémon has every advantage you could ask forits Dark-type has an advantageover Lugia’s Psychic type, its Rock-type trumps Lugia’s Flying-type, and ithappens to be the most powerful Pokémon available, to boot. Use TMs to replaceIron Tail and Fire Blastyou’ll do more damage with Bite and Crunch or StoneEdge. Be careful if Lugia knows Hydro Pump, thoughit will greatly damage evenTyranitar. Consider deploying Water- and Ice-type Pokémon like Cloyster andLapras to combat the troublesome move.
