One of the more interesting takes on the HM fly has to be the option to using Latios and Latias in Pokémon to soar in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. You can activate this feature after you defeat Team Aqua or Magma by playing the Eon Flute. Once the flute is played, one of the two legendaries will scoop you up and soar over the region.

Soaring allows you to have an interesting view of Hoenn while being able to move in between areas easier. Soaring will also grant you the ability to visit Mirage Island in the remakes.

Pokemon Evolutions Release Dates Revealed For 8

The Pokemon Company International announced a celebratory release of a new episodic animated series this week. Theyve titled it Pokemon Evolutions, and its set to celebrate the Pokemon franchises 25th anniversary. Unlike basically every other Pokemon show ever released, this 8-episode series will include all known regions of the Pokemon world explored in the core video game franchise.

A trailer for this series can be found below. This new series will be released one episode at a time, starting on the 9th of September. The rest of the episodes will be released at odd times throughout the next several months. The first episode goes by the name The Champion.

In The Champion, the series starts in the Galar Region. This series will not play out in the same order the original games were released. If it did, Kanto would be first! What were seeing here instead is a REVERSE chronological order if were looking at the dates each core series game was released. Thats Galar, Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto backward!

I didnt say that! After all, Ruby and Sapphire certainly had their strong points. Aside from the aforementioned starters, they introduced Contests, which made for a fun alernative to simple battling with its judged competitions and pageantry. There were also Secret Bases, which I really enjoyed back in the day. Both will be returning in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

The series has also evolved quite a bit since 2003. Online battling and trading is now available, and its quite possible to transfer your collection from previous versions. As Ive mentioned before, several of my monsters will be going home upon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphires release. Game Freak has also purposely cultivated a unique personality for each region, which ought to stand out more than ever in the Nintendo 3DS version. Personally, Im excited to go back and see how I feel about the Hoenn region after all these years.

We Know Itll Be Out This November

How Many Episodes Are Releasing

While we do not know how many total episodes the season will have in the end, it appears Netflix is going with the same strategy as with Pokemon Journeys when it comes to the number of episodes.

When Pokemon Master Journeys The Series hits Netflix this Friday, it will include the first 12 episodes of the season. It worked out that there were exactly 48 episodes last season to where it evened out when split up into four batches, so well see if that stays the same this season.

The New Pokemon Sword And Shield Starters: Adorable As Always

A new region in a Pokemon game means a whole new population of Pokemon to catch, befriend, and battle. Before they make their debut, the design of these critters are one of Nintendos most closely held secrets. There are always alleged leaks of design documents detailing the next gens starters. These are fake, but surprisingly not too far off the mark. Earlier in the week before the announcement of Pokemon Sword and Shield, supposed sketches of Generation 8s three starters were posted on Reddit.

The real starters and their official designs were brought to life in the Nintendo Direct announcement trailer. Like the illegitimate leak, trainers met a fire type rabbit and a grass type monkey, but the official water type starter for gen 8 is a lizard rather than a platypus. We first got to met fire-footed Scorbunny, a Rabbit Pokémon that is always running about, bursting with energy. Then we saw shy Sobble, a somewhat timid Water Lizard Pokémon that shoots out attacks as it hides itself in the water. And finally Grookey, a mischievous Chimp Pokémon that is full of boundless curiosity.

As usual, theyre all adorable. These three new Pokemon will be hard to choose between. This difficult decision might later be made easier when we see what kind of super-powered bruisers these three cuties evolve into, but for now we wanna catch em all.
