Weve heard reports of sightings in Asia, including South Korea, and theres a good chance Farfetchd will be common in Japan once the game finally makes it to Pokémons home country. In North America, this Pokémon is quite a rare one, but you may also be wondering why its common in Asia but not outside of the continent. Pokmon Go Rare Locations: How To Get Dragonite Dragonair Porygon Snorlax And Gyarados
Pokémon GO has a number of rare Pokémon, but a few of them are far more in-demand by players who are either looking to finish off their Pokedexes, or are looking for a rare and powerful Pokémon to take over a gym with.
NEW:
Dragonair, Dragonite, Gyarados, Snorlax and Porygon are, to some degree, the closest well get to legendary Pokémon until the special events start rolling in.
Porygon, oddly enough, tends to hatch from 5km eggs fairly often, although you can also find them in 10km eggs occasionally. Other than that, the best place to find a Porygon is in a crowded urban area.
Specifically, if you are somewhere near a casino, Porygons will be found far more frequently.
This makes sense considering thats where Porygon was found in the original games. So if you live near Reno, Vegas, Atlantic City, Biloxi or another casino hub, take a day trip for some Pokémon hunting.

Dragonair can most commonly be found near water sources, as can Dratini, which can evolve into Dragonair when you have 25 Dratini Candy.
This can include oceans, lakes and rivers, so if you live near a large body of water, make a road trip to catch Dratini or Dragonair. Eggs are also a common way of earning Dratini and Dragonair. Use the Ingress trick to find a good water spot crowded with Pokémon.
Dragonite, unlike the other two dragons, is most commonly reported in wooded areas or parks, but predictably, its a far more rare find than Dragonairs and Dratinis.
How To Select Your Buddy
Playing with your Buddy in Pokémon Go is an easy thing to do. First, youll have to select which Pokémon will be your Buddy. Dont worry about this too much you can change your Buddy up to 20 times each day. If its your first time using the Buddy system, tap on your Trainers picture at the bottom of the screen. Then, navigate to the Buddy menu. Here, the game will walk you through the basics of the Buddy Adventure mechanics.
If youre looking to change your Buddy, its even easier. Simply tap on your Buddys image at the bottom of the screen, then scroll through the menu and press Swap Buddies. Youll be asked to confirm your selection, then your new Buddy will appear on the screen.

Although it was previously possible to encounter a Dratini during the community day and eventually evolve a Dragonite which could know the move Draco Meteor, no further Dratini will benefit from this one-off move.
Equally, although Dratini is quite a cool Pokemon, its main purpose is to eventually evolve into the far more useful Dragonite .

How To Get Porygon
Based on the observations of players, Porygon has been frequently seen hatching from 5km eggs, though youre likely to find him hatching from 10km eggs remember, the greater distance you have to travel to hatch an egg, the more likely youre going to get rares or better! But what if youd rather not bother with hatching eggs? Well, you can find Porygon in crowded, urbanized parts of town; interestingly, hes quite common near casinos, making him perfect if you live in, say, Las Vegas or Atlantic City, or any part of the world that has some kind of casino action. Make sure you head over in the daytime, though, as you wouldnt want to deal with casino goers in the evening who may or may not have a clue about what all the Pokémon GO buzz is about!

How To Get Dragonite
While the above mentioned dragon Pokémon are commonly found near the water, Dragonite is different as youll usually sight him in wooded areas, or in parks. That, however, makes Dragonite substantially rarer than Dragonair or Dratini. Sometimes, Dragonite could hatch from a 10km egg, but dont always count on this happening in fact, dont count on it at all, as Dragonite very, very rarely hatches from those eggs! Instead, you may want to take the slow, steady, and patient route catch a Dratini, evolve him with 25 Candy to get a Dragonair, then evolve that Dragonair with 100 of his Candy to get a Dragonite.

Where To Find Dragonite In Pokemon Go
The best way to get a Dragonite in;Pokemon Go;is by participating in the Jump-Start Special Research Quest. The first objective requires the player to add 1 new friend, catch 3 Pokemon with Weather Boost, and Hatch an Egg. Once this is done, the player will be rewarded with a Dratini encounter. To get more candy, continue participating in this questline. It only needs 25 candies to evolve into Dragonair.
Make Dratini your buddy and walk around with it until enough candy appears. Before evolving it, make sure to take a snapshot with Dratini, this will add an additional 30 candy from the questline. Earning a candy will also add another 30 candy. Continue through this questline and the player will easily have enough candy to evolve Dratini into Dragonite.
Dragonite has been a fan-favorite Pokemon since the very beginning. The Dragon-type was extremely broken in the original games, taking down almost every other Pokemon without any problem. When To Use A Nanab Berry
If the wild Pokemon youre trying to catch is just too energetic to easily throw a ball at, thats where Nanab Berries come into play.
These berries can be especially useful on some flying Pokemon who move around erratically, taking full advantage of their vertical abilities. If youre frustrated at how many balls youre wasting just trying to even hit a Pokemon with a ball, thats a good sign its time to make use of a Nanab Berry.
As with Razz Berries, the tier you want to use will probably depend on how much trouble this Pokemon is giving you. If its only moving a little it may not be worth using a silver or gold Nanab Berry on for minimal changes.
Nanab Berries are also useful if your catch circle is already green but you want to be extra sure of catching this Pokemon. In those cases, a Razz Berry may not be very useful as its already a good chance of catching. Instead, try a Nanab Berry to increase your chances of getting the best throw possible.
