If you see a Legendary Egg pop up in Pokémon GO right now, theres no telling whats inside. Were in the grips of Legendary Week, which means that Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza are all spawning at the same time, giving players like me a chance to catch up on the Legendaries they may have missed when they just didnt feel like going out in a blizzard. That ends tomorrow, when we go back to just having Rayquaza spawn until March 15th. And while we dont know exactly when that will happen, around 1 PM PST is a never a terrible bet.
I cant say Ill be sad to see it go, because all in all this doesnt feel like a well-executed event. On a basic level, it suffers from the same problem that the game had when all three Legendary Birds were available at the same time: nobody shows up for Raids. Its already hard to get people together for most Legendary Raids, but its even harder when people cant be guaranteed theyll get the Pokémon theyre after. Without that certainty people are more likely to just not show up.
Right now, #TeamRayquaza is winning, which shouldnt surprise anyone, especially since its an easier fight anyway. The concept of a fun, Splatoon-style which do you like better fight is a good one, it just doesnt really match with the entirely RNG-focused Pokémon GO. Even if you consider yourself #teamGroudon, you might never have the chance to contribute.
How Do I Catch Raid Bosses
Even with the maximum possible number of premier balls at your disposal, youre still not guaranteed to catch the Pokémon especially if its a legendary at tier five. If you want to significantly increase your chances, youre going to need to use a golden razz berry.
Fortunately, golden razz berries are a reward for defeating raid bosses in the first place, so if you raid often you should have plenty on you to increase the chances of capturing the boss.
Heres a round-up of other things you can do to increase your chances of catching a difficult raid boss:
- Throw a curveball by spinning the Poké ball before you throw it
- Get an excellent throw by landing the Poké ball within the circle when its small
- Get medals for the type of Pokémon youre aiming to catch

How To Raise Friendship In Pokmon Go
You can raise friendship once per day by sending and opening gifts, raiding together, trading Pokémon, battling in a gym together, or battling each other.
You can only raise your friendship level once per day, so if youre trying to maximize your gifts or save time, make sure you havent raised your friendship already that day. You can check this by looking at your friends portrait on the friend screen. If there is a thin, light blue circle or halo around the friends circle, that means your friendship has already been raised that day. Dont confuse the halo with the flat circle behind the player, which is just an indicator of what team theyre on.

Right after this, feed him with Golden Razz Berry and dont throw a Pokeball. Wait until the Legendary makes its move. If the Legendary dodges the Pokeball, switch to Nanab Berry and follow the first instructions. I know it sounds complicated, but with the video will make the things easier to understand.

Its probably not fair grouping Landorus in with the other two chumps, but here we are.
Tornadus is effectively useless and Thundurus isnt much better . If youre looking for a strong Pokemon to raid during GO Fest, Landorus is a very good pick. Just skip the other two.
Had it have been their Therian Formes as pictured below, they would have almost certainly ranked higher.

For those eager to earn more Pokémon, season 5 of the Pokémon Go battle league gives you the chance to earn more legendary Pokémon. You need to earn a specific trainer rank during season 5, and there are only a handful of Pokémon as available rewards. You wont randomly have a chance to catch all of the legendary Pokémon, only certain ones.
To earn the chance to catch a legendary Pokémon as a reward, you need to reach trainer rank seven in the battle league. Once you reach rank seven, the random Pokémon encounter in the rewards. Three: Team Up And Choose Your Pokmon
Once the egg timer reaches zero, youll be able to offer up your Raid Pass and join the raid boss battle. Whether you join a private group of your friends or the default raid group that forms up as players join the gym battle, you can use your Raid Pass over and over until you beat the boss, or until the boss time limit goes out. If youre in a less populated area or you dont have a group with you, wait a while at the raid boss locationmore people might show up soon.
You might just be able to defeat a level one or two raid boss on your own, but for legendary Pokémon, youll want as many people as possible. Ten high-level players might be able to defeat the super-strong Pokémon, but twenty mid-level players will have an easier time of it. Twenty is the maximum party limit, either public or private, after which larger groups will be split up.
As you form up with other players, youll be given the opportunity to select up to six of your strongest Pokémon for the fight. Pure strength is important here, but type advantage is even more critical for getting those big hits. Youll also want big, beefy Pokémon that have a lot of hit points, because the raid boss hits hard and can often take out even high-level smaller Pokémon with a single attack. - Remote raid passes are a new premium item that cost 100 Pokécoins individually , or as a pack of three for 250 Pokécoins

- The attack power of remote raiders will be reduced at a later time
- Those participating in person will see an increase in attack power
- The number of trainers that can participate remotely will be adjusted

For players who have the extra PokéCoins there is an option to earn better Rewards for winning Battles. At the beginning of each Pokémon Go Battle League Set, you can choose between Basic and Premium Rewards. These Rewards include Berries, Stardust, TMs, and Pokémon Encounters.
The Pokémon you can encounter do not change between Premium and Basic, but they do get better as you rank up. Your first encounters for certain Ranks are guaranteed.
