Pokemon Go Oshawott Community Day: Start & End Time Rewards And Getting A Shiny Oshawott
Its that time of month again when we all grab our phones and participate in a new Pokemon Go Community Day event. The September 2021 community day is all about Oshawott an appropriately cheeky choice for the first community event of the season of mischief.
To be clear on the event timing, the September 2021 community day takes place on Sunday September 19th 2021, between the hours of 11am and 5pm local time. This event is focused on water-type Unova region starter Pokemon Oshawott and youll be able to catch plenty of them, including shinies, and evolve some of the caught Oshawott into Dewott and its final form, Samurott.
As well as an increased spawn rate for Oshawott, players that participate in the community day will be able to enjoy other typical bonus rewards including improved incense and lures, additional XP, photobombs when taking pictures, a unique research story, and an exclusive move for the Oshawott family of Pokemon.
We explain the Oshawott day timings, all of the community day rewards and how to make the most of them right on this page, plus give you a little community day primer.
Pokemon Go Community Day events explained
Theres an incentive to get involved in the form of great rewards. Community day events are typically focused on a specific Pokemon, increasing its spawn rate and making its shiny form more common, plus other associated rewards.
Next Pokemon Go Community Day Announced
The next event takes place on February 16.
February is just around the corner, which means its almost time for another Pokemon Go Community Day. Niantic has now shared the first details about the event, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 16, and will feature the Ice- and Ground-type Pokemon Swinub.
Throughout the event, Swinub will spawn much more frequently in the wild than it normally does. Based on previous Community Days, players will also presumably have a chance of encountering a Shiny Swinub during the event, and any Swinub that evolves into its final formMamoswineup to an hour after the Community Day ends will learn a special move, although Niantic has not yet confirmed what that will be.

Now Playing: Pokemon GO Official Trainer Battles Trailer
Mamoswine was one of the many new evolved forms first introduced in the Pokemon series fourth-generation titles, so to get it in Go, youll need to have a Sinnoh Stonea new evolutionary item in the mobile game. One of the ways these can be obtained is through Trainer Battles, and during the Community Day, Niantic says youll have a chance to earn up to five Sinnoh Stones by battling other players. Youll also receive five rewards per day from Trainer Battles during the Community Day weekend.

Pokemon Go June 2022 Community Day Expectations
Trainers, the fifty-fourth Community Day event in Pokemon Go is going live in June 2022. Were looking forward to seeing the next Community Day Pokemon, new shiny forms, new bonuses, and the Community Day exclusive Special Research story.
The Pokemon Go Community Day event is worth taking advantage of, because it will help you get close to your dream evolution, increase Stardust, Catch XP, different rewards and catch the Shiny Pokemon. The regular/standard/base shiny rate is 1 in 500, but during Community Day events the shiny rates increase to 1 in 25, which is great.
This means its a lot easier to get a Shiny Pokemon during the Community Day hours, instead of a normal day. The sad thing is that this event happens once a month.
Here is a list of Pokemon we would like to see as the next Community Day Pokemon.
Community Day April 2021 Guide
- Drastically increased spawns for the Pokemon Snivy
- Obtainable from catches, and research
- An increased Shiny rate during Community Day hours

Pokemon Go June Community Day Headliner Rumors
Right now, one of the biggest theories is that a Kalos starter Pokemon will headline the June 2022 Community Day in Pokemon Go. This means it could be either Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie.
Niantic rounded off the Unova starter trio with Oshawott Community Day in September 2021. Its been eight months since then, so it makes sense that the Kalos starters will be featured at some point soon.
This has been our guess for the last few months and were sticking by it, but if its not a Kalos starter, many players are hoping Deino will be the next headliner, as its been a while since a PvP favorite was featured.
Another theory is that Axew could be a headliner. Its one of the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon Go, but it will be a 1-Star Raid Boss during Go Fest 2022, so Niantic could be ready to make it more common.
Of course, it could be none of these Pokemon! With a new season starting in June, the Community Day headliners could be themed, like Alolan Sandshrew and Alolan Geodude during the Season of Alola.
How Can I Prepare For Pokmon Go Community Day
Assuming the headlining monster is one youre interested in, its a good idea to start stockpiling useful items a week or two ahead of Community Day. You should get:
- Enough Pokéballs and Pinap Berries to catch and evolve your Pokémon, :
- At bare minimum you need 32 Pokéballs to catch and evolve a single three-stage Pokémon from scratch

What Is Community Day In Pokmon Go
Community Day takes place on one weekend day every month and lasts a total of six hours.
As well as increasing spawns of the highlighted Pokémon, there are bonuses during that period of time – such as double XP, Stardust or Lure Modules – as additional incentives to get out there and playing, including the highlighted Pokémon having an increased chance of being shiny, and the ability to reach the highlighted Pokémon’s evolution an exclusive move.
It’s a great way to get resources and a rare version of the highlighted Pokémon, but it’s as the name suggests, is a great way to team up with other players.
You may find other Pokémon Go players will be out and about with you, which might make it easier to co-ordinate completing Raids or doing Trades, so keep that in mind during the period.

Pokmon Go Community Day Classic List: All Exclusive Moves List
Community Day Classic events in Pokémon Go highlight a past Community Day Pokémon and, just like the regular event, offers you a chance to get a Pokémon with an exclusive attack.
The rules for earning this exclusive move are exactly the same too – you must reach the final evolution for the chosen Pokémon and said evolution must take place during the event or within the first two hours after it ends.
These moves may not always be the best attack for this Pokémon, but, if want it and miss out on the event, you can always use an Elite TM on the final evolution to teach them the move.

Pokemon Go December Community Day Field Research
First and foremost, Niantic will be selling a special research story for the Pokemon Go December Community Day event. For $1, trainers will be able to access this special story. These special stories usually reward trainers with special items and rare Pokemon encounters.
In addition, there will be a timed research starting Saturday, December 18 at 11am local time and expiring on Monday, December 20 at 10am local time. These tasks will be focused on all of the Pokemon that have been featured in Community Day events over the past two years.
And finally, there will be Field Research Tasks. Trainers can spin PokeStops starting Friday, December 17 at 1pm EST until Monday, December 20 at 1pm EST. While the tasks themselves are not yet known, Niantic has confirmed that these tasks will reward Mega Energy for Charizard, Beedrill, Gengar, Gyarados, and Altaria.
This is the best chance to obtain enough Mega Energy to Mega Evolve these Pokemon. Usually, trainers have to wait and battle them in Mega Raids, but by completing these tasks trainers will be able to unlock this powerful option in battles.
