From Legendary Pokémon to legendary Trainers, this Season will celebrate legends in Pokémon GO. The Season of Legends will run from Monday, March 1, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. to Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

You can further increase your chances of catching a Wurmple with lure modules and incense. The Mossy Lure is particularly helpful in this case since is only attracts Bug, Grass, and Poison-type Pokemon instead of all nearby Pokemon.

Is There A Day/ Night Trick To Evolving Wurmple

Unfortunately, theres no day/ night trick players can use here. For those unaware, Eevees Espeon and Umbreon evolutions were dependent on the time of day at which you evolve them. During the day and youd get Espeon, and nighttime would net you an Umbreon.

This isnt the case with Wurmple, and the same goes for any nicknaming tricks as we had with Eeevees Gen 1 evolutions.

Instead, youve just got to tap that Evolve button on Wurmple in Pokemon GO and hope that the RNG gods are smiling down at you. At least Wurmple is pretty easy to find out in the wild, so catching multiple of it and racking up that candy wont be all that difficult.

How Do You Evolve Wurmple Into Dustox And Beautifly

Wurmple is like the Caterpie of Gen 3. Its a little bug that only requires 12 candy to evolve into its second stage. Unlike Caterpie, Wurmple has a split second-stage evolution: It can evolve into either Cascoon or Silcoon.

Split evolutions are something weve seen since Gen 1, also with Eevee. Evolve an Eevee and you could get Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon. Picture that, but with only two second-stage possibilities and with each of those possibilities having a third stage evolution.

Important: Unlike Eevee in Gen 1, theres no trainer name trick you can use to guarantee control of at least one of each evolution. Unlike Eevee in Gen 2, theres also no Friendship mechanic and day vs. night trick to guarantee control over all evolutions. With Wurmple, second stage evolutions seem to be totally and completely random.

How To Evolve Wurmple Into Silcoon Beautifly Cascoon Dustox

To evolve Wurmple into Silcoon or Cascoon in Pokemon GO, you will need 12 Wurmple Candy. It will then cost 50 Candy to evolve Silcoon to Beautifly and Cascoon to Dustox.

A common question is whether or not one can influence Wurmples evolution into Silcoon or Cascoon, as you can with Eevee evolutions. Unfortunately, it is impossible to force Silcoon or Cascoon for Wurmples first evolution in Pokemon GO. The outcome is entirely random. In other words, the gender, time of day, size, and any other stat you can think of does not influence the outcome of Wurmple evolutions.

• I feel like pointing out Personality Value basically means random. Its determined randomly, it cant be viewed without hacking, nor reverse engineered from visible stats . Maybe someone will now argue that back in Gen 3, there were things that depended on the PID, so it could technically be reverse engineered in part, but thats no longer the case and Go seems to be based on the most recent main series games, barring availability of different species. Since it was purely random in the main series, I dont see any reason why it wouldnt be purely random in Go, too.
