Connect Pokemon Go To Your Nintendo Account
Before you can transfer a Pokemon, you’ll first need to connect Pokemon Go to the same Nintendo Account you have linked to Pokemon Home. After you’ve fired up the game, tap on the Poke Ball icon at the bottom of the screen and then select the Settings option in the top right-hand corner. Scroll down and tap Pokemon Home you’ll then be prompted to sign in with your Nintendo Account.

Although the ability to transfer Pokemon from Go to Home was initially only available to level 40 players, Niantic has since rolled it out to all users, so everyone can take advantage of the feature now regardless of their player level.
Transfer From Previous Pokemon Games Using The 3ds Pokemon Bank To Pokemon Home
This is a bit more involved than other steps in the process, due to the nature of having to handle and operate a 3DS.
But, if there are some Pokemon from pasts games that youd like to show off to friends more conveniently, Pokemon Bank may be a tool to consider.
In order to do this, youll need to have Pokemon Home on the Nintendo Switch and pony up for the premium version of the app. These can be purchased from in the app on either a monthly or year-long basis. Once thats done, youre ready to receive Pokemon to Pokemon Home from the 3DS Pokemon Bank.
On the 3DS, open Pokemon Bank, make sure it is up-to-date, and then select Move Pokemon to Pokemon HOME.
After this, go back to the Switch, select Move and then select Begin Move in order to generate a moving code for the transfer to be completed. This can also be done without a 3DS, as long as the player has their Nintendo account linked properly.

How To Transfer Pokemon From Bank To Home
If you want to transfer the Pokemon you have stored inside Bank on the 3DS, you should know that this requires a premium plan. It also requires a subscription to Bank, which costs $5 per year, but everyone has automatically been given a 1-month free trial to get started.
You should also know that transferring Pokemon from Bank to Home is a one-way transfer, so you cannot send anything back to the 3DS. If you are sure you want to transfer, follow these steps.
You must use the Nintendo Switch version of the Home app to transfer from Bank the mobile device app will not work. Navigate to the main menu, and select Move on the bottom row of the screen, and then Begin Move.
Pull up Bank on your 3DS , and select Move Pokemon to Pokemon Home on the main screen. Then, it will ask you to select which boxes of Pokemon you wish to transfer to Home.
Your Switch will then display a Moving Key, which is a 16-character code that you will enter in your 3DS. This code expires in 3 minutes, so make sure you have everything ready ahead of time. Once you enter the moving key, the transfer process will start.
The transfer can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on how many Pokemon youre moving. You cant use Home until the process is finished, so check back into the app after a few minutes to see if its done. If you did the steps correctly, the Pokemon you chose will now be in Home.

What Pokmon Games Can I Use With Pokmon Home
As you can see above, Pokémon HOME is fully compatible with Pokémon Sword and Shield you can transfer your Pokémon to and from the app at will.
You can also transfer Pokémon between Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Lets Go, Eevee! via Pokémon HOME, and transfer compatible Pokémon to from those games to Sword and Shield, although only monsters that are part of Pokémon Sword and Shields Galar Pokédex . Additionally, once theyre in Sword or Shield, they cannot then be transferred back to Lets Go, Pikachu or Eevee.
Once transferred to Pokémon HOME, your Pokémon will be listed in the National Pokédex . Remember, Pokémon Sword and Shield has its own Pokédex and is not compatible with every single Pokémon, although with the additional Pokémon from the Expansion Passes, Sword and Shield will support over 600 Pokémon.
It is not currently possible to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, although the feature is coming. It should be noted that transferred Pokémon cannot be moved back to Pokémon GO once they have been moved to Pokémon HOME.
For previous generation games, all Pokémon must be transferred via Pokémon Bank on 3DS. While it is possible to transfer Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon from the 3DS Virtual Console releases of the original Game Boy games , it is not possible to move Pokémon from original Game Boy cartridges to Pokémon HOME.

How Do I Move Pokmon From Pokmon Home To Pokmon Sword And Shield
Once youve moved Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Sword and Shield or other sources, compatible Pokémon can easily be transferred back to Sword and Shield by connecting with the game again and dragging your chosen Pokémon to the games boxes. Remember that only Pokémon present in the Galar Pokédex can be moved to Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Also remember that POKÉMON TRANSFERRED FROM LETS GO PIKACHU AND EEVEE CANNOT BE MOVED BACK TO THOSE GAMES ONCE YOUVE MOVED THEM TO SWORD AND SHIELD .

How To Send Pokmon From Pokmon Go
Now we get to the interesting part. We have our account linked and we have our Pokémon in mind for the transfer. All ready then? Lets take action. Of course, try to make sure that your Pokémon HOME boxes are not full .
For each Pokémon you send with the GO Transporter, you will spend GO Transporter Energy. The GO Transporter is a new artifact that will be available the minute we link the Pokémon GO and Pokémon Home accounts, and with which we will do all the magic of transferring Pokémon.
We start with 10,000 energy for the GO Transporter, and it is spent as we transfer Pokémon. The GO Transporter recovers 60 energy for every hour that passes, so if you have used up all the energy, it will fill up completely again in 7 days after you transfer Pokémon. Some Pokémon cost more energy than others, so here is a table so you can see how much energy each Pokémon consumes.

What Is Pokmon Home

As all fans know, Pokémon Home is a service that allows you to have all the Pokémon in our collection in the same place. This program designed for Nintendo Switch, and also available as an application for mobile devices, allows us to store Pokémon from different games in the series.

What Are Mystery Gifts
These gifts are only accessible via the mobile version of Pokémon HOME and will be redeemable in either Sword and Shield or HOME.
Once Pokémon GO compatibility has been introduced sometime before the end of 2020, transferring a Pokémon from the mobile game to Sword or Shield will result in a Mystery Gift appearing in the mobile version of Pokémon Home a special Melmetal which can Gigantamax in the Switch game. Beware, though, because it’s not possible to transfer this Pokémon back to Pokémon GO once it has been moved to Pokémon Sword and Shield.
How To Get More Go Trasporter Energy
Theres only two options for getting more energy to perform all these GO to Home transfers. Transporter energy will be used up with each Pokémon sent to Home, but will recharge automatically over time. However, if you dont have long to wait or are just being impatient you can pay 1,000 coins to fill the meter from bottomg to top and get another full transfer. But which of your vast collection do you need to avoid?

Pokmon Home: How To Transfer To Pokmon Sword And Shield
First, make sure you have Pokémon HOME set up on your Nintendo Switch. If you need help with that, we have a full guide on how to sign up for Pokémon HOME.
Press A to get past the start screen.
This screen will appear. Select Pokémon.
Choose the game you want to transfer to.
Select Yes
Your Pokémon Boxes will appear. Select the Pokémon you wish to transfer.
Note that you can transfer both into or out of Pokémon HOME at this point. If the Pokémon cannot be transferred to Sword or Shield, a red circle with a line through it will appear on the top right side of the Pokémon.
Deposit the Pokémon into one of your Boxes.
When you’re done selecting Pokémon, press the + button to exit.
Select Save changes and exit.
Press A when the screen reads “Your Boxes have been saved!” You’ve completed the transfer. Now you can either use those Pokémon in Sword or Shield or interact with them in Pokémon HOME.
Keep in mind that if you’re trying to transfer Pokémon from older Pokémon games like Let’s Go, Pikachu! or earlier titles via Pokémon Bank, you might not be able to bring every Pokémon into Sword and Shield. Only Pokémon that are already available in the Galar Regional Pokedex, those that arrived in the DLC updates, and a handful of legendaries and other special Pokémon can be brought forward. However, any Pokémon that is available in Sword and Shield can be stored in Pokémon HOME.

Starting right from the beginning with Gen 1 , Pokemon captured in any of these games can be transferred forward a generation to Gen 2 . Unfortunately, this can only be done with the Virtual Console versions of these games on Nintendo 3DS. Pokemon on these games on the Game Boy versions can only be traded with each other, and not onto Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and onwards.
Boot up the game via Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS and make sure that all of your Pokemon that you want to transfer are in Box 1 of your PC, with no other Pokemon in that box.
Now you need to open up both Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter if you don’t have them both already then you can download them from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Make sure you have an active subscription to Pokemon Bank otherwise this whole process won’t be possible.
Open Poke Transporter, choose the Pokemon game you want to transfer from, then select Box 1 with all the Pokemon inside that you want to transfer. This will transfer the Pokemon from that game to Pokemon Bank via Poke Transporter. For those that dont know what it is, Pokemon Home is a dedicated cloud service which allows trainers to store and transfer Pokemon from different games.
It means you can put your favourite Pocket Monsters together and make your perfect lineup, built from generations of hard work.
And it was announced just this week that Pokemon Go Home Transfers would soon be available to fans.
It should be noted that Pokemon being sent away to the Home cloud via the new Go Transporter, are making a one-way trip, as they cannot return PoGo after the transfer is complete.
There are also large limitations on how long it takes Pokemon to be transferred, and the amount of energy required to send certain Pokemon.
