Do Shiny Pokmon Perform Differently In Pokmon Go
Nope. Shiny Pokémon have the same stats as non-Shiny variants. Which is to say, a range. You can catch a perfect Shiny Magikarp, but you can also catch a not-so-great one. They also have no special movesets or powers of any kind. Aside from looking different, they’re exactly the same.
However, Community Day is the easiest time to catch Shiny Pokémon. If evolved during the event window, Shiny Pokémon will get the exclusive move just like the normal featured Pokémon, so a lot of Shiny Pokémon do have that exclusive move.

What Are Shiny Pokmon In Pokmon Go
Simply put, Shiny Pokémon are color variants. There is only one Shiny color variant per Pokémon. Some variants are obvious like Shiny Gyarados is red instead of blue. Others are more subtle, like Shiny Bulbasaur or Squirtle, which are the same color but slightly different shades. In the core games, every single Pokémon has a shiny variant, but in Pokémon Go, Shiny Pokémon are unlocked during Community Day, other events, or with updates.
If a Shiny isn’t unlocked, it doesn’t matter how many of that Pokémon you catch, you’ll never find a Shiny Pokémon. On the other hand, once unlocked Shiny Pokémon are far more common in Pokémon Go than they are in the core games, especially during events. Still, they’re pretty rare, so your best bet to finding Shiny Pokémon is to tap on every single Pokémon to spawn. Shiny checking takes time, but once you know which species can be Shiny, it is a lot easier.
Note: One other important thing to consider when Shiny Hunting, generally you cannot catch an evolved Shiny Pokémon. For example, if you tap on an Ivysaur on the map, it cannot be Shiny, even though Shiny Bulbasaur can be caught. There are rare events where this is not the case, and Mega Raids generally have the chance of being Shiny.

Fleeing Pokemon Breaks Your Combo
Yes, I know I mentioned it before, but seriously, its ridiculously frustrating when a Pokemon flees the battle and that counts as breaking your combo. To ensure that youre going to have the best chance of that not happening, I would stock up with Ultra Balls, make sure youve got a pocket full of Razz Berries and never linger too long between Poke Ball throws. Its also worth remembering, as Ive mentioned in our Pokemon Lets Go tips, that a Pokemon can flee at any point during the catching process, whether thats post berry feeding or mid-throw. Its worth noting that the higher your combo, the easier the Pokemon is to catch green rings rather than red meaning you can drop down to cheaper balls as you go up the combo scale.

When And How Every Shiny Was Added To Pokmon Go
Magikarp and Gyarados: The first Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go were Magikarp and Gyarados in March 2017 which were a callback to what was, for most players, the first Shiny they ever caught: the Red Gyarados at Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal’s Lake of Rage.
Shiny Pikachu: August 2017’s Pokémon Go Park event in Japan revealed the second set of Shinies.
Those within the event radius had a chance of catching a Shiny Pikachu, which much like the Red Gyarados, could also be evolved into a shiny Raichu.
These have since been made available around the world, and was expanded on with a shiny hatted Pikachu as part of the 2018 Pokémon Day.

The Botting Pokmon Go Hack
Botting is also a popular hack used by players to cheat their way through the game. Botting involves you setting up bots that allow you to catch all nearby Pokémon within a particular area.
The bots catch Pokémon automatically, making you the laziest Pokémon trainer out there. Like spoofing and other hacks on this list, botting can get you banned from the game and effectively ruins the games enjoyment.

How Do You Spot Shiny Pokemon
There simply is no way of telling if a Pokemon is shiny or not just by looking at them on the map. The only way you can learn if the Pokemon is shiny is by fighting it and then looking at its color in the pre, post, and standard battle screens. Once you notice that the Pokemon is of a different color then you know its your catch.
Each shiny Pokemon comes with its own rarity and yes add onto that, that every single one of them is extremely rare so you can see for yourself how difficult they can be to get.
Pokemon Go is fun and it doesnt ask you to sit in one place and play but forces you to roam the world outside and fulfill your childhood fantasy of catching and training Pokemon. How To Get Shiny Shadow Pokmon In Pokmon Go
The shiny variations of Pokémon in Pokémon Go are incredibly difficult to come by. Its a little bit easier if youre hunting down the ones you find at raids, so long as youre willing to waste a raid ticket on the event. If you truly want some of the rarest shiny Pokémon, youll be hunting after the shadow shiny Pokémon. A shadow legendary Pokémon is rare, and only comes from Giovanni, but a shiny shadow is even rarer.
Theres only one method to acquire a shiny shadow Pokémon. You can do this by battling one of the three Team Rocket leaders, and no, Giovanni is not included in this. You have to battle against Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff. These three will rotate out their first Pokémon every few months, and that new Pokémon will the new potential shiny Pokémon that you can capture. You wont know its a shiny Pokémon during the battle, so you have to battle them, win, and then try your luck at seeing if a shiny will arrive when you attempt to save it.
None of the Team Rocket grunts that you encounter at the Pokéstops can have a shiny shadow Pokémon. You can capture their shadow Pokémon as a reward, no problem, but theres no opportunity for you to find its shiny version.
The Pokémon Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff use rotate every so often, so you may need to do a little investigation to see what shadow Pokémon you can capture. The chance of you encountering a shiny type is always pretty low, with the potential hovering around 1 in every 450 encounters.
Dont Skip Out On Encounters
Youll need to get into an encounter with a Pokémon to see if theyre shiny or not. Even if you arent planning to catch that Pokémon, you should still get into an encounter and check.
You can still capture them for sport and additional candy. If you cant tell whether a Pokémon is shiny by their looks, keep an eye on a little white symbol that appears right above their CP. This symbol featuring three stars indicates that a Pokémon is indeed shiny, and you may want to switch to a better Pokéball to make sure you dont miss your chance.
