Gen 4 Leafeon and Glaceon have a second evolution method, using the Mossy Bait Module or the Glacial Bait Module, respectively. When you are near that PokéStop with the Bait Module activated, go to your Eevee and choose the evolution.
On the other hand, Gen 2 Umbreon and Espeon also have a second evolution method. Walk with your Eevee as a companion for ten kilometers and make it evolve overnight or day and it will transform into the desired evolution.
Note that you have to walk exactly 10 kilometers and get two Candies in the process, and then keep Eevee as a companion when it evolves and make it day or night in the game for it to work .

If you evolve an Eevee raw by spending 25 candy, itll just evolve into one of the different available evolutions at random. However, you can actually force a specific evolution by renaming your Eevee of choice to a special nickname and the whole thing began as an easter egg nod to a classic set of Eevee evolutions found in the Pokemon anime TV show.

An important note about this little cheat: it only works once per Eevee Evolution. Meanwhile, Gen 2s Umbreon and Espeon also have a second Eevee evolution method. Walk your Eevee as a Buddy for 10km, then evolve it either during the night or day and itll turn into the desired evolution.
Note you specifically need to walk 10k and earn two Candies in the process, then keep Eevee as your Buddy when evolving, and be either day or night during the game itself for it to work .

Vaporeon has the highest stamina and it is also the evolution most players would point to as being the strongest. It is a solid water-type that rivals a lot of the harder-to-get Pokemon and is only outclassed by Pokemon like Kyogre and Gyarados.
Leafeon and Glaceon are both solid in several scenarios, especially if you dont have a better grass-type or ice-type. They can do a decent amount of damage and take some hits, making them a solid pick for raids and certain team compositions. Umbreon, despite its low attacks, is very good defensively.
Flareon, Jolteon, and Espeon, on the other hand, are all outclassed by a good chunk of Pokemon of their type and dont offer much to mitigate the stat deficits against the likes of Entei, Zapdos, or Mewtwo. Once Sylveon is added to Pokemon Go it might take the crown as the best overall Eeveeloution.
