People Still Play That Pokmon Go Just Made $176 Million In August #1 In The World

How to play Pokemon Go on PC – EASIEST WAY

Pokemon GO

I remain truly astonished with the momentum that Niantic has been able to sustain with Pokémon GO, taking it from a monster megahit in summer 2016 to…well, its still a monster megahit in 2019, it turns out.

When you bring up Pokémon GO these days, the common refrain youll hear back is people still play that? And the answer is yes, yes they do. And quite a lot of them, in fact.

Pokémon GO just had its highest grossing month since 2016, according to SuperData. GO brought in $176 million in August, more than three years after its initial release. The unseats the usual chart-leader, and more heavily monetized title, Honour of Kings for the first time in a good long while.

While Niantics WB collaboration, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has kind of fizzled and sputtered, GO is stronger than ever thanks to continued investment from Niantic adding more and more features, in addition to more and more Pokémon, to keep players engaged.

Its hard to pinpoint exactly where this renaissance of Pokémon GO began, but if I had to guess, it was probably around the time that friends and trading entered the game, as it instantly became a lot more social and more like the handhelds.

Top 5 Tips For Players Starting Pokemon Go In 2021

Pokemon GO has been around since 2016, but many people are just beginning their journey in the game this year due to its ever-rising popularity.

Some trainers who first started playing Pokemon GO shortly after its initial release may have lost interest due to a lack of features in the game. However, now that it’s been around for a few years, they may wish to start playing for real, as several new elements have been incorporated into the game.

Here are the top five tips for people just getting started playing Pokemon GO in 2021.

Note: This article reflects the personal opinion of the writer.

From A Phenomenon To A Has

When Pokemon Go first launched, it became a phenomenon almost overnight, breaking records left right and centre and even crossing behemoths like Facebook and Twitter in terms of active users.

Pokemon Go completely captured the imagination of the public in a way we havent really seen before. Seeing people randomly walking on the streets trying to desperately catch the elusive ‘Pikachu’ became a common sight, even in India.

However, it all died out incredibly fast. While it might be a little presumptuous to say, the truth of the matter is that no one really cares about Pokemon Go anymore. Just like a pop song, which becomes the rage for a few weeks and then completely vanishes from the charts, Pokemon Go has become just a side note in history.

According to a report from app tracking firm Slice, Pokemon Go had lost a whopping 80% of its paying players since its highest point in mid-July. This was in the second week of September. The situation will be worse by now.

‘pokmon Go’ Players Explain How The Game Has Changed Their Lives

It may be hard to believe, but it’s now been over three years since Pokémon Go first pika’d its way into our hearts.

Three years since July 2016, when the game was rolled out countrycountry by Niantic. Remember how awesome that summer was? It was hard to even step outside without seeing someone with their nose in their phone, app open, flicking many a Poké Ball across their screen.

That level of excitement was never going to last, though. Like all viral crazes, Pokémon Go‘s moment in the sun didn’t last forever. After peaking with 28.5 million daily U.S. users a week after the app launched, the numbers steadily dwindled over the coming months. By April 2017, not even a year after launch, there were headlines saying that four out of five players had quit the game.

But not everyone did. As Niantic steadily released new features and generations of Pokémon, plenty of players stuck around — and some new ones even came on board.

Mashable spoke to a bunch of people who still play the game to find out why they’re still catching them all, and how it’s changed their lives…

I didnt say it was dying, I just asked IF it was dying

I am just starting as of today. I am lost on what to do lol.

Lol you’re asking the people on a Pokemon go group…. Here’s a guide:

Yes There Are Still People Playing Pokmon Go But Who Are They

If you drove by the 300 block of 2nd Avenue S in St. Petersburg Sunday afternoon, you would have seen four adults furiously tapping on their phone screens.

They were not texting a relative or searching Google for the nearest coffee shop. Instead, each was engaging in a digital fight with a Pokémon, challenging their enemy in a battle-like environment until they either emerged victorious or the timer ran out.

Sunday recalled the glory days of Pokémon Go, an augmented reality game in which players use the real world around them as a place to catch Pokémon. The game debuted in July 2016 and took the world by storm shortly thereafter. It was not uncommon to see groups of people traipsing through a park or a downtown area, searching for Pokémon. If someone were to make a documentary about the summer of 2016, Pokémon Go would surely make the cut.

But the phenomenon dropped off almost as quickly as it had begun. A look at shows that it skyrocketed to peak popularity as a search term around mid July 2016, when the game premiered, but had already plummeted by mid-August. Since that time, the game has had brief blips of public interest, but has never regained its former success.

Cory Collins, 35, first got into the game in earnest about two months ago when he temporarily left the house after an argument with his wife.

Its a handful of nerds walking down the street on their phones versus a handful of guys sitting in a bar getting into trouble, he said.

Dave Cobb 29 Works As The Director Of Enterprise Applications At A University Lives In London

Cobb plays the game every day and spends around £20 on it a week. He meets with other players in the pub each week for a trading session, and heads out into London as part of a big group during events. He downloaded it when it first came out.

What is it about the game thats kept you playing?

The people. Without the community Ive found I wouldnt be playing. Niantic has built an addictive event-ception model and kept the game fairly fresh, but the game still suffers very frustrating bugs and their support service is dire . Two of my best friends also play the game in Surrey and have found similar communities occasionally we visit one another for a community swap of sorts.

When my PoGo friends and I go to the pub, yes were all on our phones, but were talking to each other, organising days out and helping one-another were all planning for next years big international Pokémon events so were here for the long haul.

To what extent would you say the games changed your life?

Ive met my neighbours! In London we all tend to avert eye contact and never really meet local people, but this game demands you get out there and you cant complete key parts of it without other people.

Community And Cultural Impact

Eduardo Paes, then-mayor of Rio de Janeiro, stated that he hoped the app would be released in Brazil before the start of the 2016 Summer Olympics in the city , and United States presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton mentioned the app during their 2016 election campaigns. In late July 2016, during a public address, the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, compared a political issue about the date of an incoming referendum as preposterous as the hunt for the Pokémon. Shortly after the game’s release, Bellatormixed martial artistMichael Page celebrated a knockout of his match opponent, Evangelista Santos by putting on a red Ash Ketchum-like hat and rolling a prop Poké Ball in Santos’s direction. On July 25, Dwayne Johnson released a promo video featuring MatPat and Ali-A with himself as a tough, rare Pokémon.

Following the event in Chicago, other events have been held in Chester,Yokohama, and San Jose. In September 2017, a series of events named “Safari Zone” was held in Unibail-Rodamco shopping centers in Oberhausen, Paris and Barcelona, with events the following month in Copenhagen, Prague, Stockholm and Amstelveen.

A More Exciting Gaming Experience

Police warn of risks involved with playing Pokemon Go ...

People young and old continue to play Pokémon Go. To date, the game has achieved more than one billion downloads and has generated billions as well in consumer spending. Niantic, the company behind the game, has also proven to be adaptive to the exigencies of the pandemic by bringing live events online.

Even before the pandemic hit, Niantic has been preparing for the future by investing in machine learning technologies as well as in AR to keep up with current augmented reality trends. Undoubtedly, this will translate to an improved gaming experience and make catching Pokémon characters even more exciting.

For Rooted Devices Andriod

For users with rooted devices, Niantic prevents Pokemon go from working on such devices. Rooted devices are usually the ones getting banned frequently due to fake GPS location. Nonetheless, a rooted device that plays Pokemon go quite well if you follow these steps.

Step 1: Install the Magisk Manager app and install it.

Step 2: Search for MAGISK HIDE and tap on it to click on the Apps you wish to hide your root from, which in this instance is Pokemon Go.

Step 3: Restart the device and refer to the steps for unrooted android devices above.

As fascinating as the Pokemon go joystick hack android is, precautions should be taken to avoid detection. These precautions are necessary for the iOS platform also.

  • Do not change locations swiftly

After picking a location, it can be tempting to leave the place quickly and move to another. I agree, but leaving quickly will only trigger an unusual movement likely to cause a ban from the Pokemon company.

To teleport from one location to another requires patience to avoid being caught. Remember

  • Always switch locations after 4 hours: Say, for example, you are in France. Its simply impossible to be in America in 20 minutes. Likewise, when you switch your location, give enough time before selecting a new location.

Dont Move Too Fast

The bottom line is dont get carried away enjoying the run, and as a result, you move faster than normal.

Tips And Tricks For Playing Pokmon Go At Home

While the above changes from Niantic do certainly make Pokémon Go much easier to play at home, there are few other tips and tricks you can do to make playing Pokémon Go from your home a little easier.

If you are in a lockdown that allows for daily exercise, and there are gyms and Pokéstops within walking distance of your home, wed recommend planning a walking or cycling route that incorporates them – but only if you are able to safely.

Pokémon Go also has many incredible online communities, including many local groups. Its definitely worth checking them out. You can add them all as friends, battle them and send each other gifts to keep your stock of Pokéballs and eggs up during the lockdown. Plus when all this has blown over you have a new community of friends to meet!

And thats it! Enjoy playing Pokémon Go from home and stay safe!

Does Anyone Know How Many People Still Play Pokmon Go Actively

A lot of people at my school are saying Pokémon Go is Dead. Does anyone have a percent of the original daily users to now?

Well, considering how much I have to dash around to keep 10 gyms, I’d say quite a lot. 🙂 I believe the casual players have all but disappeared but the hardcore or serious ones will stick around.

I don’t want to know how much money you have spent.

Every game will have some people declare the game is “dead.” In reality it is only dead to the people who stop playing it after the fad phase.

Reliable concrete numbers though are hard to come by for several reasons.

  • Bots used by scanners — Who knows how many bot accounts are out there.

  • Multi-account players — Based on concerns of gym shaving, this appears to be prevalent, but there is no way to determine how many “alt” accounts are out there.

  • Account Sellers — Overlapping 1 and 2, there are many accounts that are floating around out there for sale that have been either leveled by bots or by hand.

  • It’s possible half of all the “active player” base is comprised of bots and alt accounts. All in all it doesn’t matter though, since there are at least a few million real players — a game can’t be considered dead or dying with that size of a player base.
