Where To Get The Master Ball In Pokemon: Let’s Go

Pokemon Go Master Ball Find: Is there a Master Ball In Pokemon Go

Find out where to get the rarest type of Poke Ball in Pokemon: Let’s Go.

In Pokemon: Lets Go, there are different types of Poke Ball including one known as the Master Ball. The Master Ball is the rarest type of Poke Ball as it has a 100% catch rate.

This comes in handy after you beat the Elite Four, as theres a Pokemon hidden in Cerulean Cave that requires a Master Ball for capture.

To help you prepare, weve put together a guide on where you can get the one and only Master Ball in Pokemon: Lets Go!

How To Get The Best Tools For Catching Pokemon

The methods that trainers can use to get Ultra Balls are pretty similar to how they get Poke Balls and Great Balls. The only difference is that, naturally, Ultra Balls are rarer. The important thing to remember is to save up Ultra Balls never use an Ultra Ball when a Great Ball or Poke Ball will do.

The first method to gaining Ultra Balls is simply through leveling up. When trainers reach level 20, they get 20 free Ultra Balls. Every level after that will also reward the player with a number of Ultra Balls.

The second method trainers can use is by spinning Poke Stops and Gyms. This isnt the most reliable thing to do, though it only provides players with a chance of getting Poke Balls, and the odds of them being Ultra Balls are pretty low.

Keeping spinning streaks, though, will improve a trainers odds. At the end of any week where the trainer has spun a Poke Stop every day, they are guaranteed to at least get a solid number of Poke Balls as a reward. They can also get Great Balls and Ultra Balls via this method.

Fortunately, Ultra Balls tend to be a popular reward given during events. Trainers should always keep up with what bonuses are being given out during Spotlight Hours, Community Days or any other similar event.

How To Capture A Boss Pokemon

Victory. You and your team have done the hard work and taken down the Boss Pokemon. Balloons fall from the ceiling, the fireworks go off, and the credits roll. Not so fast. There are more rewards to be had. Once you beat the Boss, you and your group are rewarded with potions, revives, and coins. You also get Premier Balls, which are the only kind of Pokeball you can use to capture the Boss. The amount of Premier Balls awarded depends on how well you did in the battle, and they disappear after your attempt to capture the Boss is over, so you want to be careful and take your time. Make sure to use lots of berries to improve your chances. Once all the Premier Balls run out, the Boss Pokemon flees.

How To Acquire Dusk Balls

Dusk Balls can be purchased from different vendors in different games. In Sword and Shield, they can be bought from Watt Traders and from the Poké Marts in Hammerlocke and Wyndon Stadium. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, they can be purchased from the Poké Marts in Solaceon Town, Snowpoint City, Pastoria City, and the Pokémon League.

Ultra Ball

Catch Rate: 2xIntroduced in: Generation 1A familiar tool even for Red and Blue veterans, the Ultra Ball’s been helping us catch Pokémon since our original Pokémon expeditions. Although its bonus of 2x doesn’t quite match the 3x plus rates of its peers, and it’s a bit pricier at Poké Marts, Ultra Balls don’t have any conditions or gimmicks attached, letting you use their increased odds no matter what situation you’re in.

I’d say they were especially useful back in Generation 1 where we had no better alternative other than our one-time use Master Ball, except the infamous infinite item MissingNo. glitch could actually give infinite Master Balls in our original adventures. Still, these classic items have been a consistent and reliable force throughout the years.

Getting More Master Balls Through Loto Id

As well as the two above, you have a chance to get more Master Balls and in theory, an unlimited number of Master Balls through Loto ID.

Loto ID is pretty simple its a Lottery based on Trainer IDs. There are five different prizes with the prize you get based on how many characters of the ID number you match. The prizes scale as follows:

  • 1 Number: Moomoo Milk
  • 4 Numbers: Rare Candy
  • 5 Numbers: 1 Master Ball

As you can see, the top tier of Loto ID prize, earned for matching 5 digits, is a Master Ball. Match 5 digits, and get a Master Ball! You can participate in Loto ID once a day from the PC inside any Pokemon Center so thats 365 chances a year!

While the odds of having a 5-number Loto ID draw are vanishingly small, you can increase your odds slightly.

Your Loto ID draw is checked not just against your personal trainer ID, but against all Pokemon in your party and boxes. When a Pokemon is caught, the ID number of the trainer who caught it is attached to that Pokemon.

What that means is that by trading for lots of Pokemon, youll rack up a lot of Pokemon with different Trainer IDs which then increases the odds of you getting a match in the Loto ID feature.

How to Get the Master Ball in Pokemon Go

If youre serious about making a team, you can work with most decent Pokemon. Its very obvious that a Grookey isnt going to be quite as effective as a Rillaboom .

Its a good rule of thumb to prioritize synergy. This is twofold: in some cases, you might decide to make a weather team. A rain team will have a lot of Water Pokemon, which naturally means youll have a massive grass and electric weakness. However, there are ways around this: dual-type Pokemon can resist things they would usually be weak against consider Pelipper, who is a Water-type but is also half-Flying, meaning that Grass isnt super-effective against it. Also, a rain team can have non-Water benefits, too. For example, Thunder has 100% accuracy in rain, meaning that a strong Electric-type is an absolute must for a rain team.

If youre not going for weather control then youll want to focus on type coverage. Theres a reason the Champion in most Pokemon games doesnt have a type-oriented Gym Leaders team. Theyre well-balanced if you have a Gengar, youll likely want to steer clear of Ghost-types for your remaining five slots. This is so you dont have massive weaknesses that can be exploited by a single Pokemon. If you realize too late that four of your six Pokemon are part-Fire, you wont be able to do anything about the opposing Gyarados thats sweeping your entire team.

Where To Find More Master Balls In Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu And Eevee

Getting more Master Balls in Pokemon: Let’s Go isn’t exactly easy. And, as far as we can tell, there’s only one place where extra Master Balls can be found. To track down more Master Balls, players will need to have already defeated the Elite Four in order to gain access to the Cerulean Cave. If this location seems familiar, that’s because it’s the place where trainers can track down the Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo.

Head over to the Cerulean Cave and make your way up to the second floor. Once arrived, look around for the small patches of light. Each of these locations offers up free items, usually in the form of different Berries, Candies, and perhaps even fossils or Pokeballs. It’s only in these spots, and only in rare instances, where players have a chance of finding an additional Master Ball.

The chances of finding a Master Ball are very slim, but as far as we can tell, there’s no technical limit on how many Master Balls can be obtained. It’s just that they’re exceedingly rare, and we haven’t yet been able to push the limit to see how many can be found, or even figure out if having one in the inventory prevents more Master Balls from spawning.

Where Not To Use It

HOW TO GET MASTER BALLS IN POKEMON GO!

There are a few times where it can be tempting to use a Master Ball, but not all of them are worth it in the end. Rare and promoted Max Raid battles might seem worth it using the Master Ball at first, but they can simply be attempted again if players fail the first time. Normal Max Raid battles are always a guaranteed capture, including non-promoted Gigantamax forms, so the Master Ball shouldn’t be used here. A shiny Raid encounter will always be shiny, so if players saved the game before attempting the Raid and didn’t capture it, they can simply reset the game and try again.

Eternatus, the other main legendary, is also a guaranteed capture, so this is one legendary Pokemon that players can use a regular Pokeball on a capture it 100% of the time. Every Pokemon in Dynamax Adventures, including the legendary found at the end of a run, has a guaranteed catch rate, meaning there is no point saving them for the harder Pokemon like Palkia or Dialga.

There is a way to get more Master Balls, though, if you’re super lucky.

After defeating the Elite Four, make your way to the second floor of Cerulean Cave. Here, you can find a wide variety of great items in the sparkles on the floor. Making Master Balls With The Cram

This is only available on the Isle of Armor, meaning the expansion pass is required to participate. Speak with Hyde in the Dojo and he will randomly give the player recipes for the Cram-O-Matic. Each recipe costs 100 Watts. The player will want the Rare Pokeball Recipe. This one requires that the player tosses in 4 Apricorns into the machine. These can be found in trees and on the ground all around the Isle of Armor. Although each time a prize comes out, it will be a different type of Pokeball. It can range from a Pokeball to an Ultra Ball. The Master Ball is extremely rare, easily the most difficult to get out of the machine. Keep throwing in Apricorns for a better chance at getting one.

The Isle of Armor DLC includes a new wild area for players to navigate, over 100 older Pokemon like Golduck and Poliwag, and a new legendary Pokemon, Kubfu. During the players time in the Isle of Armor, the player will build a bond with Kubfu, exploring the scenery of the island and participating in battles together. This is one of the few times in the series where the game forces the player to bond with their Pokemon partner. Then, they will work together to take down one of the two towers on the island, the Tower of Water, or the Tower of Darkness. Depending on which tower the player selects, it will determine which form Kubfu will take when it evolves. The player can only select one tower. This Pokemon is extremely powerful and required for any player wishing to complete their Pokedex.

How Do I Get Pokeballs

The process of obtaining the various balls is actually very easy and you can get them several ways:

  • They drop most frequently at Pokestops. The odds of getting the higher level balls is slightly smaller than the standard Pokeball but they should all show up consistently. Youll get at least one Pokeball pretty much every time you spin the wheel.
  • Youll often get them as rewards for leveling up. We dont recommend relying on this to stock them up for long-term use, but it is a nice bump when you get them.
  • You can buy Pokeballs from the in-game store using Pokecoins. Youll get 20 Pokeballs for 100 coins, 100 balls for 460 coins, and 200 balls for 800 coins. Heres a helpful guide on how to get free Pokecoins so you can buy them! Please note that you cannot buy Great Balls, Ultra Balls, or Master Balls this way.

It doesnt sound like much, but some patience and good play will have your inventory full in no time!

When The Master Ball Fails

Pokemon Go | How to Get MASTER BALLS, ULTRA Balls, and GREAT Balls – Pokemon Go Tips and Tricks

Despite claiming to be able to catch a Pokemon 100% of the time, there are moments where the Master Ball will fail, though it isn’t a very common occurrence for long time players. Like with every other Pokeball, the Master Ball won’t work if it is used on another trainer’s Pokemon, since this is considered stealing and is only acceptable for the regional evil team. There are also times when the player isn’t allowed to attempt to capture Pokemon, such as the Mewtwo Max Raid event that gave anyone able to complete it a massive amount of experience and strong items, but were unable to capture the Legendary Pokemon.

Pok Balls And Catch Rates
