The Free Option For Frugal Fans

At the moment, the Pokémon anime is most readily available in three places: Netflix, Prime Video, and the Pokémon TV app. However, none of these has all 1000+ episodes of the long-running show. The Pokémon TV app is the best place to start, and thats because, unlike Netflix and Prime Video, its a free service. You can download the app on your phone or tablet through both the iOS and Android app stores, but if you want to watch the show on a TV there are options there, too. Pokémon TV is available on set-top boxes like Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Android TV devices. But if you want to keep Nintendo shows in the Nintendo family, its also available on the Switch eShop, which is another perk Pokémon TV has over Netflix.

Where things get complicated is starting with the third season, as Pokémon TV doesnt have every episode of Pokémon as part of its service. It has the first two seasons, which will take you all the way through Ash and Pikachus journeys through Kanto and the Orange Islands. However, Pokémon TV is missing a whopping seven seasons between season two and season 10, which takes place in the Sinnoh region and focuses on Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl. This means it skips over the entirety of the shows Hoenn and Sinnoh arcs, and theres more skips to come as we keep going. And those arent the only missing seasons there are to contend with. In total, Pokémon TV app has 10 out of the shows 25 seasons broken up into three distinct blocks: 1-2, 10-12, 20-24.

Secrets Of The Jungle

Pokémon: Secrets of the Jungle is the 23rd Pokémon film. Unlike Mewtwo Strikes Back, Secrets of the Jungle went back to its 2D animated roots. And another aspect that is different about this film is that Ash has no traveling partner other than Pikachu. In fact, aside from Pikachu, none of his other Pokémon made an appearance in this film.

Secrets of the Jungle revolves around a jungle boy named Koko and his life with mythical Pokémon, Zarude, who essentially adopted the orphaned child. The film is set in the Galar region and features Pokémon from all of the other regions as well.

  • a bit of the start of Pokemon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back was actually seen in the series

But i dont know when the events of the movies occurs in relation to Ashs adventure.

Where Can I Watch The Pokmon Series

As of right now, the easiest way to watch Pokémon is on the Pokémon TV app, which is one of the few apps that you can download from the Nintendo Switch eShop. Amazingly, its a free service, so all you have to do to watch is create a Pokémon Trainer Club account.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, every season isnt available on there. You can currently watch seasons 1, 2, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 of the main series. Hopefully this changes soon, because having the entire series in full on there for free would be massive.

Is Pokmon On Hulu

Dragonair! | Pokémon Journeys: The Series | Official Clip

Hulu is another popular app that has a good hold on the market share in the US. Due to its popularity, Hulu was one of the best streaming services where you can watch Pokémon. Hulu used to have a huge library of Pokémon content, but the Pokémon Company has since pulled out some of its content.

Before the pullout, Hulu had a good roster of Pokémon series and movies. It started airing Pokémon seasons in 2010, as it had Pokémon Origins, Diamond and Pearl, and The Rise of Darkrai. Hulu later acquired seasons Diamond and Pearl Battle Dimension, Diamond and Pearl Galactic Battles, Diamon and Pearl Sinnoh League Victors, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, Arceus and the Jewel of Life, Zoroark: Master of Illusions, Blac: Victini and Reshiram, White: Victini and Zekrom, Kyurem vs. The Sword of Justice, and Genesect and the Legend Awakened. Still, Hulu remains one of the best platforms that offer Pokémon shows and movies.

But What About These Ash And Pikachu Special Farewell Episodes

If youre not looking to catch up on everything or go watch old episodes, youre probably here to find out where you can watch the 11 episodes that will show Ash and Pikachu running into old friends as the show gives them a proper goodbye. The first of these episodes will air next week in Japan on January 13. I imagine a lot of people who bounced off the show over the years are going to want to watch these episodes, but do keep in mind that it will be some time before theyre available in English.

Unfortunately, Pokémon doesnt have any official simulcast, so theres no legal option at the moment. The Netflix rollout is over 30 episodes behind the Japanese weekly episodes right now, with each quarterly Netflix release consisting of around 12 episodes each, so these specials will likely not be made available in English until later this year. On the plus side, this means that if you wanted to take on the gigantamax task of rewatching all of Ash and Pikachus adventures before these episodes are made available, youve probably got time.

Is Pokmon On Funimation

Funimation is the biggest name in American when it comes to dubbed anime because of how large its library of dubbed anime is. Owned by Sony, Funimation recently acquired Crunchyroll and now has an even larger library. However, neither Funimation nor Crunchyroll has Pokémon because Pokémon has an entirely different license owner in terms of its dubbing rights and streaming rights.

How To Watch Digimon Anime Easy Watch Order Guide

Digimon, an anime that is wrongly accused of being a Pokémon rip-off, had struggled to get a large fan-following. Digimon though, is a fantastic anime.

Being a childrens show, it does have its share of clichés, but the way they are treated is what makes the series unique.

Being a Digidestined means that sometimes you have to save the world, even if youre the one who caused the problem.

Kari

Along with the child-like peppiness, Digimon does not shy away from exploring some serious themes such as death, divorce, adoption, and fear of losing a loved one.
