So, it shouldnt surprise you that many of the most powerful overall Pokémon in Arceus are legendaries. Legendary Pokémon make up the majority of this list of the ten Pokémon with the highest total stats:

Its especially useful for when youre comparing a bunch of the same Pokémon, as you can keep the stat appraisal screen open as you move between Pokémon. This allows you to quickly compare stats and star rankings as you try to decide which Pokémon to keep and which ones to release.
You can even search for Pokémon by their specific star tier, just like how you can search for them by name. To do this, youll need to search:
- 0* = 0 Stars
- 3* = 3 Stars
- 4* = 3 Stars with a red background / 100% Pokémon
The new ranking system makes it a lot easier to decide which Pokémon are worth investing your Stardust and Candy in. Though its still important to remember a Pokémons rarity and whether its one of the best Pokémon in the game.
Though by and large the closer to 100% this is the better, depending on the Pokémon, some individual stats are more important than others so it isnt the be all and end all.
For example, if you have a Snorlax one of the best creatures to put in a gym with its high health with a low HP stat, that makes it a less attractive proposition. But then again, because its rare, you might not have any alternative Snorlax to rely on. Of course, an average Snorlax will still perform better than others in its field, so it could still be worth Powering up.

A top card has relatively high hit points, a good attack and ability , and will help out almost any deck in which you put it . Mamoswine Garchomp And Sneasler
All three of these Pokemon have a base Attack stat of 130.
- Mamoswine is a Ground/Ice-type Pokemon. It has high HP and Attack in addition to a good Speed stat. It evolves from Swinub, which evolves into Piloswine at level 33. Both Swinub and Piloswine can be found pretty commonly in the Alabaster Icelands. To make Piloswine evolve into Mamoswine, it needs to level up while knowing the move Ancient Power, which it gets at level 34.
- Garchomp is a Ground/Dragon-type Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon. It has high HP, Attack, Speed, and decent defenses. Its first form is Gible, which evolves into Gabite, both of which are native to Clamberclaw Cliffs in the Coronet Highlands. Gible evolves into Gabite at level 24, which evolves turns into Garchomp at level 48.

- Sneasler is a Poison/Fighting-type Pokemon. It boasts very high Attack and Speed stats with average HP. It evolves from Hisuian Sneasel. It has the same evolutionary method as Weavile, except that the Razor Claw must be used during the day instead of at night.

All three of these Pokemon have a shared base Attack stat of 120.
- Luxray is a pure Electric-type Pokemon. Attack is really its standout stat, as everything else is only about decent at best. Its first form is Shinx, which evolves into Luxio at level 15 and Luxray at level 30. Players are forced to catch a Shinx early in the game, and for those who want more than just one, they are extremely easy to find and catch in the Obsidian Fieldlands.
- Staraptor is a Normal/Flying-type Pokemon with very high Attack and Speed. It evolves from Staraviawhen raised to level 34, which evolves from Starly at level 14. Players are forced to catch a Starly early in the game, and for those who want more than just one, they are almost as easy to catch as Shinx is, in the same location.
- Weavile is a Dark/Ice-type Pokemon with great Attack and Speed. Both Weavile and its pre-evolution, Johtonian Sneasel, can be found only in Space Time Distortions in the Obsidian Fieldlands. If players are not lucky enough to catch a Weavile directly, they will need to use a Razor Claw on Johtonian Sneasel at night for it to evolve.

Powerful Pokmon Cards Keep Getting Better
The effects of Pokémon’s power creep were immediately apparent when the first EX Pokémon cards came out. At the time, a Wailord card with 200 HP was printed, making it the card with the highest health in the game. Wailord EX remained the king of HP for quite a while. However, other cards were starting to catch up. Now, with “Tag Team” cards on the scene, cards can have almost a limitless amount of HP. The next card that would top Wailord EX was, oddly, another Wailord card. Although this Wailord was teamed up with Magikarp to create the Wailord and Magikarp Tag Team card, they had a colossal HP stat of 300. Hilariously enough, in the Sword and Shield Base Set, Snorlax V-Max trumped even Wailord with a disconcertingly large 340 HP. As of right now, Snorlax V-Max remains the card with the highest HP stat ever.
Of course, HP isn’t the only way to determine a Pokémon’s strength. The attack power of cards has also fallen victim to the notion of power creep. For example, the infamous Charizard Base Set card does 100 damage for 4 fire energy. At the time, this was a decent attack, but it simply can’t stack up to modern cards. Zacian V can deal 230 damage for only 3 metal energy. Also, Zacian V itself is a basic Pokémon with 220 HP. Due to new cards being so powerful compared to older ones, the older cards have become little more than an esteemed collector’s item.
