How To Get Heart Scale In Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee

To get the Heart Scale item in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee, you first have to go to Cerulean City. Its in the top of the map, to the right of Mt Moon . Once in Cerulean City, look for the Bike Maniac near the city entrance. This place has a couple of bikes to the left of his building plus, the sign above has a bike wheel on it. You also have a sign left of the door that reads Home of the Bike Maniac if you interact with it.

Go inside, and ask the guy about all three different types of bikes. You do so by interacting with each of the three types of bikes red, blue, and green. When he asks if you wnat to know more about each type, say Yes. Hell then give you five Heart Scales.

If you go to the right of the Bike Maniac, youll come across a fountain. If you inspect it, youll have the option to throw in either 50 or 500 coins inside. We threw in fifty, for example. After that, you have to play with your Pokemon, and youll get one Heart Scale. We werent able to throw money in the fountain twice to check what happens when you give 500, but well update this guide in case we find out something more.

Which Is Better Politoed Or Slowking

Unlike Slowking, Politoed is a third-stage evolution, not second. Third-stage evolutions tend to be stronger, though in this case, you’ll want to check each Pokémon’s stats before making a decision. Politoed can also learn certain attacks that Slowking simply can’t, like Hhydro pump and earthquake.

Evolution got a bit more complicated in Pokémon GO last night. Originally it was a pretty straightforward affair: you got candy for catching, walking and transferring Pokémon, which you then used to turn your Squirtles into Wartortles, your Bellsprouts into Weepinbells and so on. For the most part, that’s still how it works after the big Gen 2 update, except for a few noteworthy exceptions. Certain Pokémon now require either a steel coat, a sun stone, a king’s rock, a dragon scale or an upgrade to evolve, and these items are all random drops from Pokéstops. Let’s break them down:

• The metal coat transforms Onix into Steelix or Scyther into Scizor.
• The king’s rock transforms Slowpoke into Slowking or Poliwhirl into Politoed.
• The dragon’s scale transforms Seadra into Kingdra.
• The sun stone transforms Gloom into Bellossom or Sunkern into Sunflora.
• The upgrade transforms Porygon into Porygon2.

Note that in many of these instances the items are used for branching evolution: you’ll still be able to evolve Slowpoke into Slowbro using plain old candy, but you’ll need the king’s rock as well as the candy to get yourself a Slowking. This will slow down some people that had been stockpiling candy for the purpose of filling out their Pokédex as quickly as possible: I’ve got plenty of Onix candy but still no metal coat to snag my Steelix.

How To Get Evolution Items

The only way to get evolution items is by spinning PokeStops. Like with the new berries, though, they don’t drop as often as balls and razz berries. After more than fifty spins at various stops, I only got one sun stone. Many others are reporting similar findings, with some reporting a drop rate of 1 percent or less. Your mileage may vary, but don’t expect to collect them quickly.

If you play the game every day, you can get at least one evolution item per week, though. When you get the seven-day streak bonus one evolution item is guaranteed to drop. This only counts for the First PokeStop of the Day streak, not the First Pokemon of the Day streak. The evolution item you get is totally random, but it’s better than just relying on a PokeStop drops.

Gen 2 is finally here and with it come not just new Pokémon, like Kingdra, but new items like the Dragon Scale, too.

That, in turn, means new methods for evolution: the Dragon Scale was used for evolving Kingdra in the main Pokémon games by having it hold the item when being traded – a mechanic that’s not in Pokémon Go at all as things stand.

So with that in mind, how do you evolve Seadra into Kingdra, and likewise how do you get the Dragon Scale in Pokémon Go?.

But now, evolution items can also be rewarded to Pokemon trainers who have completed a seven day Pokéstop streak. This means that if all evolution items have an equal chance of being rewarded, Pokemon trainers have a one-in-nine chance of earning a Dragon Scale once a week if they use a Pokéstop once a day. They can also be received as a gift, or earned by completing part six of the special research A Ripple in Time.

Stock up on Pokéballs at a Pokéstop and raise the odds of catching a Seadra by traveling to a body of water. Once a Seadra is caught, collect 100 horsea candies and use the Dragon Scale to evolve the Seadra into a much stronger Kingdra. Three candies can be earned each time a Horsea is caught, and bonus candy can be earned by using berries while catching Horseas or in the gym. It can also be earned by walking with a Horsea Buddy Pokemon, hatching eggs, or transferring Pokémon. Compared to Seadra, Kingdra gains a dragon type and is the final evolution of Horsea.

Theres not much to this method. When you open a Gift sent to you by a friend, there will be a slight chance of obtaining an evolution item. The only catch is that this method relies on your friends to send you gifts. What Are The Odds Of A Shiny Legendary Pokemon Encounter

The odds of encountering a shiny legendary Pokemon would vary in different cases. For instance, if you have encountered a Kyogre, there is a 1 in 32 chance that it would be shiny. If we talk about Groudon, then it is estimated that 1 in every 20 Groudon would be shiny. Besides that, the overall chances of encountering a shiny legendary Pokemon are just 1 in 450, making them extremely rare.

That Pokemon, specifically, is Seadra. If you gather 100 Horsea candies and have a Dragon scale to hand, youll be able to evolve your Seadra into a Kingdra.

Is it worth doing? Well the 100 candies might take some effort to earn, unless youre constantly surrounded by Horsea.

Though with that said, as Dragon Scales only have the one purpose right now, you probably have one or two of them spare so if you can gather the candies for the evolution, you should be able to pull it off.

As for whether the evolution is worth it, Kingdra can reach a CP rating of 2641 at player level 40, without the best buddy boost. Thats a pretty solid water/dragon dual-type.

What To Do To Obtain A Dragon Scale In Pokemon Go

As one of the Johto region’s evolution items in Pokemon GO, the dragon scale can be obtained by spinning the Photo Disc of a Pokestop. The chance of an evolution item dropping from a Pokestop is small, but it isn’t zero.

In addition, if players manage to get a daily Pokestop spin streak of seven days, they are guaranteed to obtain a Johto region evolution item. This doesn’t guarantee that the dragon scale will be the item that appears. However, diligent trainers will likely receive one as long as they keep their spin streaks high.

On occasion, Pokemon GO trainers can also obtain dragon scales from gifts or research tasks. Players aren’t guaranteed to get the item through these methods, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

The most difficult part of obtaining dragon scales in Pokemon GO is the fact that they technically “compete” with other evolution items.

Obtaining a guaranteed evolution item from the Johto region means a trainer can also receive items like a king’s rock, metal coat, sun stone, etc. This doesn’t apply to two evolution items in particular, Sinnoh and Unova stones. These two items operate by different rules compared to their Johto counterparts.

Once trainers obtain a dragon scale, they can go ahead and feed their Seadra 100 Horsea candies and hand over the item. This will reward trainers with their own Kingdra, which is a very efficient fighter, especially in Ultra League PvP situations.

Even the very first Pokémon games featured a handful of special case Pokémon who could only evolve with Evolution Items or other special methods. Even the most recognizable Pokémon out there, Pikachu requires an Evolution Item in the core Pokémon games. Pokémon Go has far fewer Evolution Items and special cases for Evolution than the core games, but there are a few.

What Does Dragon Scale Do

A Dragon Scale can be used to evolve Seadra into Kingdra, the latter of which was added in the Gen 2 update. As the Dragon Scale name implies, Kingdra is a Dragon/Water type unlike its predecessors, and can use Dragon moves. You will still need the appropriate amount of candy for the evolution, however, since the Scale just acts as an additional requirement. Once you have everything you need, simply evolve your Seadra, and remember that your evolution item will be consumed in the process. Luckily, this item isnt used to evolve any other Pokemon as of now, so feel free to splurge them on Kingdras.
