It evolves into Accelgor when traded for a Karrablast, a Pokémon that evolves into Escavalier simultaneously. Neither evolves if at least one holds an Everstone during the trade.

You can also possibly run into Corsola during Max Raid Battles. But if youre playing Pokémon Sword, you cant capture Galarian Corsola through normal means. Its a Pokémon Shield exclusive creature, so the only way Sword players can get their hands on this new variant is to have it traded from Shield.

Karrablast Evolves When Shelmet Is Around

Karrablast is a tiny bug Pokémon, but is more vicious than its appearance lets on. It spits acidic liquid on its foes, which can be deadly. In order to evolve this Pokémon, two trainers must trade a Karrablast and a Shelmet.

The Pokédex suggests that the Karrablast can evolve naturally, although this process is a lot darker than simple trading. After spraying acid on Shelmet, Karrablast leaves the outer shell behind, and eats whatever is inside. When it evolves into Escavalier, this Pokémon is wearing the shells that it stole from Shelmet. Thankfully, players don’t have to witness this.

Evolution Guide Pokemon Sword And Shield

Our Pokemon Sword and Shield Evolution Guide details everything that you need to know about evolving your Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Before we start this guide, we would like to mention here that this is not a compendium of all Pokemon and their evolution. This guide only lists those Pokemon whose evolution is different from the regular Pokemon who level up simply by hitting a particular level.

Sneasel

If you want to evolve your Sneasel into a Weavile, you will need to follow a few steps which starts by increasing the level of your Sneasel. Make sure your Sneasel is at least a Level 20 or above. In addition, your Sneasel must have a Razor Claw which can be purchased from the Battle Points Store. Once it is done as well, level up your Sneasel during the night time and it will evolve into Weavile.

Haunter

Haunter is another Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield which cannot be evolved by traditional methods. Haunter evolves only when you trade it with another trainer. This trainer also needs to be a real human and not an AI. Things get complicated here because if the trainer you are trading with refuses to trade your Gengar back to you, you might be left without a Haunter as well let alone a Gengar.

Snom

Yamask

Linoone

Linoone evolves into Obstagoon only when you reach Level 35 and after that level it up during night time. It will not evolve during the day time even if you level up so reach level 35 and then level up during the night time to trigger the evolution.

A Machamp’s body is composed entirely of muscle. Its four arms allow it to punch in many directions, and it can land thousands of punches in mere seconds. Despite this, as well as a lifetime of training, Machamp can be defeated by Grimmsnarl.

The hair on a Grimmsnarl’s body are like muscle fibers, which enhances Grimmsnarl’s durability and strength. These fibers can also latch onto and trap Grimmsnarl’s opponents, making Grimmsnarl an opponent no one wants to fight up close.

How Do We Obtain A Gengar In Sword And Shield

With a smile like that no wonder its popular

Since the very first games, trainers can obtain a Gengar by evolving a Haunter through trading. This can be done locally or via the internet.

With Sword and Shield and the inclusion of the Wild Area, trainers can instead capture a Gengar from these areas if conditions are right:

  • East Lake Axwell Normal Weather, Overcast, Thunderstorm, Intense Sun, Snowstorm, Sandstorm and Heavy Fog.
  • Giants Cap Normal Weather, Overcast, Thunderstorm, Intense Sun, Snowstorm, Sandstorm and Heavy Fog.

It can also appear in a 5 star raid and it will be Level 55 60. So expect a fight!

What Are The Benefits Of Evolving Pokmon In Pokmon Sword And Shield

Evolving your Pokémon has a number of great benefits that makes the full process of training your Pokémon team more worthwhile.

Evolving a Pokémon will make it stronger, by raising its base stats and, sometimes, changing its type, making it a dual type Pokémon.

When Hattrem evolves into Hatterene, for example, it goes from being just a psychic-type Pokémon to being both a fairy and psychic-type Pokémon.

Once a Pokémon evolves it might also be able to learn new skills, both from TMs and from levelling up.

A Pokémons ability might change when it evolves as well, allowing you to adapt your play style to take full advantage of this change.

Finally, evolving Pokémon will also fill in empty entries in your Pokédex, allowing you to become the ultimate Pokémon Master.

How Do You Evolve Karrablast And Shelmet In Sword And Shield

As we mentioned earlier, the only way to evolve Karrablast and Shelmet is through trade under specific circumstances. Youll have to find another trainer who has the other Pokemon, then upon trading a Karrablast for a Shelmet, both will evolve once in the partners game into Escavalier and Accelgor.

Pokmon Sword & Shield: How To Find & Evolve Shelmet Into Accelgor

Pokémon Shield & Sword – How To Evolve Shelmet & Karrablast

Shelmet is one of those odd Pokémon that depends on another Pokémon to reach its full potential. It has a special bond with Karrablast, and by special bond we mean Karrablast eats Shelmet. Seriously. Per the Pokédex: It spits a liquid from its mouth to melt through Shelmets shell. Karrablast doesnt eat the shell it eats only the contents. Whats odd, though, is that Shelmet also relies on Karrablast to evolve. Talk about a complicated relationship.

How Do I Evolve Shelmet And Karrablast

Shelmet evolves into Accelgor, and Karrablast evolves into Escavalier. Both Pokémon can only evolve when they are traded for one another. This can be through Link Trade or Surprise Trade, though the chances of the latter are significantly lower.

However, if either Shelmet or Karrblast are holding an Everstone, then neither of them will evolve after being traded with one another.

Pokmon Sword And Shield: How To Evolve Shelmet And Karrablast

In Pokémon Sword and Shield, the Pokédex has 400 slots, so there’s plenty of Pokémon for you to catch and hunt for. If you’re a completionist and want to finish that Pokédex, then you’ll need Shelmet and Karrablast, but these two Pokémon have very specific conditions for evolving into Accelgor and Escavalier, respectively.

Where To Find Shelmet In Sword & Shield

Shelmet is one of the lucky 400 Pokémon to actually make it into Sword & Shield. Trainers hoping to add one to their collection should be on the lookout for rainy weather. As a Bug-type, Shelmet is much more likely to spawn in the rain. In fact, it will only appear in certain areas while its raining. Shelmet is even more picky in that it spawns more frequently in Pokémon Shield.

Shelmet evolves into Accelgor when its traded for a Karrablast. The trade will trigger both Shelmet and Karrablast to evolve right away. Thats also where many will notice the weird situation Shelmets unique evolution puts its Trainer in. Because now the Trainer has an Accelgor that belongs to someone else. So what to do? Many Pokémon players will organize Shelmet for Karrablast trades with the agreement that both parties trade them back after the evolution. The best place to find such a trade would be with a friend, or a dedicated Pokémon trade community.

Alternatively, one could seek out Accelgor through Max Raid Battles. It will sometimes show up in raid dens in the Bridge Field, Dappled Grove, Rolling Fields, and South Lake Miloch areas. Only Shield players can do this, however.

How To Get Karrablast And Shelmet

First off, if you want to evolve either of these Pokemon, youre going to need to find them first and luckily, in the Galar region, they can be found in the same locations in both versions of the game.

Karrablast and Shelmet can be found on Route 7, Bridge Field, Hammerlocke Hills, Motostoke Riverbank, and can also be obtained through Max Raid Battles. They are both mono Bug-type Pokemon so make sure to bring the appropriate Pokemon with you so that you a) dont kill it and b) dont let it kill you.

How to get Escavalier & Accelgor. Evolve Karrablast & Shelmet location – Pokemon Sword and Shield

The first step to preforming this evolution is to catch a Spritzee, and players with Pokemon Shield should have little trouble doing exactly that. Indeed, Spritzee spawns at a rate of 30% in the overworld on Route 5, which means that fans should see it in this area fairly consistently. Additionally, this Gen 6 Pokemon has a 14% spawn rate in the tall grass found along Route 5, giving Shield players even more opportunities to catch one.

RELATED: Pokemon Sword and Shield: What Level Does Vulpix Evolve

Things do get more complicated for those fans with Pokemon Sword, though, as Spritzee will simply not appear in their games. Instead of catching a Spritzee, these players will need to trade for one, and that can be done in a number of way. Perhaps the fastest of these ways is to utilize the Pokemon trading communities that are found on sites like Reddit, though it always possible that a fan could get lucky and receive a Spritzee during a Surprise Trade in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

After obtaining a Spritzee, players that are interested in evolving it will need to procure a Sachet. However, that will not be possible until a fan has beat Pokemon Sword and Shield and unlocked a special vendor that stands along the right wall in the Hammerlocke Pokemon Center. This vendor will sell players a Sachet at a cost of 10 BP, and fans should have their Spritzee hold the item once it has been acquired.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are available now for Nintendo Switch.

Arctozolt Shows That Dinosaurs And The Ice Age Don’t Mix

How to Get Karrablast and Evolve it in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Arctozolt does not look like a happy Pokémon. Despite being an Ice-type, this Pokémon is constantly shivering, has a droplet of snot hanging from its nose, and has its eyes squeezed shut. This shaking is meant to generate electricity, but it looks like this power comes at Arctozolt’s expense. During prehistoric times, the ice on its body allowed it to preserve food for long periods of time.

Unfortunately, being encased in ice and having feet resembling clown shoes makes it impossible for it to move fast enough to capture any food. Any prey would see Arctozolt waddling towards it from a mile away. Its slow-moving stature is the reason why Arctozolt went extinct years ago.

The Goomy evolutionary line might not be the most intricate in the series, but it can prove to be a challenge to see through. Like any pseudo-legendary Pokemon, Goodra requires a good amount of training and leveling-up before trainers see any sort of payoff.

RELATED: How to Evolve Goomy into Goodra in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Goomy will evolve to Sliggoo once it hits level 40, which is somewhat grindy but not a tough task by any means. Trainers will have to wait for a rainy day if they want to add Goodra to their Pokedex, however. Anyone wanting to add the Dragon-type pseudo-legendary to their party must level Sliggoo up to level 50 in the rain.

    What Accelgor Does In Battle

Aceelgor is really fast and thats about it. As a Bug-type Pokémon, its cursed with paper-thin defenses. In older games, its only viable contribution to a team was to set Spikes down at the beginning of a battle. This doesnt change in Sword/Shield. No Gigantamax form or special new moves for Accelgor. The idea with a Spikes build is that Accelgors Speed allows it to get at least two layers of Spikes down before it gets KOd, ensuring good damage to every enemy Pokémon that arrives in battle from then on. Not exactly the most glorious of battle styles, but its a living.
