As soon as you run Spectrier or Glastrier out of Freezington, you can head deeper into the village and enter one of the houses, the one with the older woman and her Spheal outside. Another NPC inside will ask if you would take Cosmog, who is nicknamed Fwoofy, along with you since you helped defend the village.

Cosmog can evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala, but that process is also version exclusive. It evolves into Cosmoem at level 43, and at level 53, if you have Sword it will become Solgaleo and in Shield, you will get Lunala.

How Cosmog Evolves In Sword & Shield

When Cosmog is taken out of Pokémon Home and put into Galar, it will act mostly the same as it did in Sun/Moon. It can battle, Dynamax, and will evolve into Cosmoem at level 43.

It’s the second evolution where things get different. Cosmoem in Pokémon Sword will always evolve into Solgaleo, whereas Cosmoem in Shield will always become Lunala. So if you have Sun and Shield, or Moon and Sword, you’re in luck. Otherwise it might be time to trade.

Neither Solgaleo or Lunala have Giganatamax forms or Mega Evolutions. They can, however, fuse with Necrozma to take on the Dusk Mane and Dark Wings forms. Sword & Shield support these forms.

How To Obtain Cosmog

Pokémon Sword & Shield How to Evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem then into Solgaleo! (In Pokémon Sword)

Cosmog is actually pretty easy to obtain, and all that is needed is for you to complete The Sacred Bonds of Sovereign and Steed . During its course, you’ll end up saving a certain Freezington villager that happened to find a Cosmog, and she’ll hand it over to us as thanks.

We’ll then obtain a level 5 Cosmog.

Transferring Cosmog Solgaleo And Lunala Through Pokmon Home

Cosmog and its evolutions made their debut in Pokémon Sun & Moon as the “box Legendaries.” This means they were very prevalent in advertising and are given to the player through the story. Simply playing Sun through to nearly the end will get you Solgaleo, and Moon gets you Lunala. After beating the Elite Four, the player can bring their version’s Legendary to their Altar at the opposite time of day . This will open a parallel world where a brand new Cosmog can be caught at the Lake of Sunne or Moone. This holds true for the Ultra versions as well.

Sadly, this second Cosmog will still evolve depending on whichever version you have. So evolving it to its final form will just get you two Solagleo or two Lunala. Leave it as Cosmog, and put it plus Solgaleo/Lunala into Pokémon Bank. Pokémon Bank is a cloud-based Pokémon storage app for the 3DS games. It can send your 3DS-based Pokémon to Pokémon Home, where they can then interact with Sword & Shield.

Two things to note: Pokémon Home requires a paid subscription to do 3DS transfers, and once a Pokémon leaves Bank for Home, it can never go back.

Is Lunala Or Solgaleo Better

In terms of competitive usefulness, Lunala is better than Solgaleo. But in terms of 1v1, Lunala still wins. Do note that theres no competitive format where there would be these two could face off alone. In a hypothetical 1v1 battle, Solgaleo has access to crunch, which Lunala is 4x weak to.

How To Evolve Cosmog

In Sword and Shield Crown Tundra, Cosmog has two evolutions, and first, it evolves into Cosmoem. Cosmoem can then evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala.

  • Cosmog evolves into Cosmoem when you reach Level 43.
  • Cosmoem evolves into Solgaleo when you reach Level 53.
  • Cosmoem evolves into Lunala when you reach Level 53.

How Do You Evolve Cosmog Into Lunala Or Solgaleo

Fortunately, the process of evolving Cosmog into either Lunala or Solgaleo is not a difficult one. You just need to level Cosmog up, which can be done through a variety of methods.

You can simply battle with Cosmog or with it in your party, and a particularly effective way of doing this is to run through the Pokémon League again with Cosmog at the back of your party. Itll get loads of experience this way.

You can also complete Max Raids, which will come with Exp. Candy and Rare Candies, which help quickly level up a Pokémon. Max Lairs work for this too, as the Dynite Ore you acquire can be exchanged for those items.

Whatever method you choose, youll first want to get your Cosmog to Level 43. After doing that, it will evolve into Cosmoem. Continue your path, and Cosmoem will be ready to evolve at Level 53.

Now, whether Cosmoem ultimately evolves into Solgaleo or Lunala will depend on which version of the game you have. If youre playing in Pokémon Sword, itll evolve into Solgaleo, and in Pokémon Shield itll evolve into Lunala.

How To Get Cosmog In Pokmon Sword And Shield: Guide

During the Crown Snow storyline, players will reach a point where they will expel Spectrier or Glastrier from the city of Freezington. Once players do this, they will be able to get Cosmog.

Upon entering Freezington, players can find a house with an old woman and her Spheal outside of it. The old woman will not lead the players to Cosmog by talking to her, but you must get inside this house.

Inside, there will be another old woman and a Cosmog floating in a wooden drawer in the kitchen of the house. Talking to Cosmog will make the old woman inside reveal that she found the Legendary Psychic-type Pokémon freezing on the outskirts of town, took it in, and named it Cosmog Fwoofy. As the player helped defend the village and proved to be a reliable coach, the old woman will entrust him to Fwoofy.

This Cosmog will be level 5, which means that it will take a long time for players to raise it to level 43 to turn it into Cosmoem. Then it will take ten more levels to become Solgaleo or Lunala.

Solgaleo is a psychic and steel type double Pokemon, with a full metal body for its ability, which prevents the movements or abilities of other Pokemon from lowering Solgaleo’s stats. Meanwhile, Lunala is a dual Pokemon of the Psychic and Ghost types.

This is the way in which you can get Cosmog in Pokémon Sword and Shield, we hope this guide has served you and you are already one step closer to completing the Pokédex.

Where Can You Find The N

One of the biggest benefits of acquiring Lunala, Solgaleo, and Necrozma is being able to fuse Necrozma with either one of them to form one of the most powerful Pokémon available in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

In order to do this, youll need some special items that cant be acquired until you have the Pokémon that use them. While Ive seen it noted you need to have Lunala, Solgaleo, and Necrozma in your game, in my experience Ive had the items become available with just Lunala and Necrozma.

Youll need to head to Stow-on-Side and talk to the bargain man on the right. Once you have the needed Pokémon in your game, hell give you the items you need.

Once you have them, make sure you have Necrozma and whichever Pokémon you want to fuse with in your party. Use the item, and youll be able to combine them right away.

What Solgaleo And Lunala Do In Battle

Cosmog

Solgaleo’s greatest stat is a tie between HP and Attack. Based on that info, you can probably guess that the lion loves being in the fray. Give it attacks like Earthquake and its signature Sunsteel Strike. It’ll hit with the fury of a lion, and can ignore certain stat-lowering moves and abilities.

Lunala looks like a fearsome alien bat and has a huge moon laser, but it actually shines as a defensive battler. This is due largely to its Ability, Shadow Shield. This makes it so every attack done on a full health Lunala does half damage. Combine that with healing move, Toxic, and some kind of attack-hindering move, and Lunala can be an annoying stall.

Crown Tundra: How To Get Cosmog

Pokemon Sword and Shield just had its second DLC released, and with it comes some frosty mountains that you will need to explore. Getting through these cold conditions is worth it though, because there are legendary Pokemon to find, and some other fun ones to locate on your adventure. If you’re able to get through all that awaits you in the mountains, then a fun little Pokemon is awaiting you!

Cosmog is a great little Pokemon who looks unassuming at first, but once you bring it down its evolutionary chain, turns into a formidable Pokemon for your roster!
