As most people know, Bagon is a blue dragon Pokémon that is extremely rare and evolves into the amazing Salamence after Shelgon. This is a guide on how to catch it in Pokémon games in the Hoenn region.

Catching Bagon Earlier In The Game

This is one of the only methods to obtain a strong Dragon type early in the game without cheating or hacks.

  • After the events in Fallarbor Town, you will be able to access Meteor Falls.
  • Enter Meteor Falls and cross the bridge. You will not be able to use surf or waterfall at this point of the game to access the areas where Bagon are normally found.
  • This is when it gets tricky. Right after you cross the bridge, go to the upper right hand corner of the square of land you’re on.
  • Without moving from this square, rotate your player around and around without ever moving from the square.
  • It will take a really long time if you’re not lucky, but eventually you should encounter a Bagon between level 6 and 12. Bagon will eventually evolve into Salamence and having one early in the game will no doubt give you a leg-up throughout the game.

While battling and capturing the legendary golems is optional once they’re available, it’s really the preliminary work of making these Pokemon available that earns them a spot here. Trainers will find themselves pursuing what is essentially a full-blown sidequest, mastering the braille alphabet and deciphering ancient messages and riddles to track down these elusive ancient Pokemon. It’s both ridiculous and ridiculously cool.

Once the challenges have been satisfied, these are still legendaries… and the task of weakening them and spamming Ultraballs can still be as grueling as most legendary encounters in the Pokemon series are known to be.

Go up the Waterfall in the first room, surf, land and enter Room 2. Walk up and right to a ladder and go down to Room 3. Go down to a ladder and go down it. Back in the 1st room, you get an item. Go back to Room 3 but now go left. Go all the way up and down the ladder, back to Room 2.

Go right. There is a couple for a battle. Then go past and up by four steps. Go right and battle a boy. Below are slopes. Start jumping down, keeping left and take their left fork. After 6 slopes, walk left (Avoid slope 7 or youll be back to start} and go down the ladder back to Room 3.

Go down, then right. Surf right and up and land. Enter Room 4. This is a dead end, but there is TM02 Dragon Claw. There isn’t anything else to this room except for Bagon.

Exit and use Surf, keep to the right and it will end in another doorway. This contains a PP Up in this area.

The Best Moveset For Salamence In Pokemon Ruby And Sapphire

A pseudo legendaries from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Salamence is one of the most beloved Pokemon in the game, and with good reason.

Salamence evolves from Bagon, a Pokemon so rare that there is only one place where it can be caught . Game Freak clearly knew this Pokemon was going to be highly sought-after.

Salamence gets some seriously good offensive stats, with 135 Attack and 110 Special Attack. This makes this Dragon and Flying-type one of the few fortunate ones to be able to run a mixed set. Here are the best moves on Salamence.

Go into the main chamber and ascend the waterfall go down the ladder head to the ladder to the north, veer to the west going down the mudfall and head down that ladder, navigate across the aquifer to the north, and search in that small chamber.

How To Get Salamence With Eq And Dragon Dance

How to Catch Bagon in Pokémon Emerald (with Pictures ...

Step 1: Catch a male Horsea / Seadra. Step 2: Level it up until it learns Dragon Dance. I recommend using Horsea, not Seadra, as it learns it 10 levels earlier in Gen IV. Step 3: Catch a female Bagon. Step 4: Put the two in the dragon love nest. Step 5: Keep breeding until you get the Bagon you want discard the rest.

The only way to get a Salamence in Pokemon Emerald is by Trade, an Action Replay Code, or Evolve Shelgon. Shelgon cannot be found in Pokemon Emerald, only Bagon. Bagon can be found in Meteor Falls in the chamber with a little water in it.

Best Grinding Spots In Pokmon Ruby Sapphire & Emerald

Level grinding has been a staple in Pokémon games since Generation I.

And the same holds true in Generation III.

In Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire, theres a 15 level difference between Pokémon in the last gym vs. the Champions team. And while its only an 8 level difference in Emerald, Id say all three games have areas where youll want to grind up some levels.

Not just to defeat tough spots, but to also help your Pokémon reach Level 100. That is eventually the goal, right?

For this ranking well check out some of the best spots to grind EXP in the original RSE Hoenn games.
