Berries Hunger And The Mood Of A Pokemon Buddy
Berries help fill up the hunger meter of a Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Feeding them berries refills their hunger meter, with different berries having different effects. The hunger meter for a Pokemon has six segments, with one segment depleting every 30 minutes.
Buddies can become hungry even if the game isn’t running.
How Do We Get More Hearts
Similar to other pet simulation games, the Buddy Levels are easily attainable if players know what activities to do in order to earn Hearts with their Buddy. At its core, players need to do these things repetitively in order to earn Hearts:
- Visiting a New Place: 2 Hearts are earned when a player and their Buddy visit a Gym or a PokeStop they havent visited before.
- Taking a Snapshot with the Buddy: 2 Hearts are earned when players take a snapshot of their Buddy.
- Battling Together: 2 Hearts are earned when players use the Buddy to fight in Trainer Battles, Gyms, Raids, or even in Team GO Rocket Events. Thankfully, Leader Training also counts as a Trainer Battle!
- Playing Together: 2 Hearts are earned when players go to AR Mode and tap their Buddy for a few seconds. Called petting, this move is successful once the Pokemon spins and jumps in happiness.
- Giving Buddy a Treat: Up to 4 Hearts can be earned whenever a Buddy is given a treat. If a Buddy starts at 0 Treats a day, it would take around 12 Berries to reach the 4 Hearts bonus.
- Walking Together: Up to 4 Hearts can be earned when players walk together with their Buddies. Take note that replacing Buddies will be resetting the step count to the next Heart!
Daily Activities And Affection Hearts
Engaging in Activities allows a temporary increase of Buddy Pokémon’s mood and rewards Affection Hearts. The Today’s Activities in the Buddy profile screen lists each way to interact with Buddy. Each time trainers engage in a listed activity with their buddy, the hearts will turn from gray to pink, indicating a heart was earned in that category.
Doubled Affection Hearts
When Buddy’s Mood is Excited, the Affection Hearts that could be earned are doubled, except for the Bonus category. Extra earned Affection Hearts remain even if the Buddy is no longer excited.
Already obtained hearts will not be doubled, and the base set of hearts is filled in first. For example, if a snapshot was already taken before, it will require another snapshot to earn the bonus heart. If that is not the case, only one snapshot will be needed to earn both hearts at once.
Daily activities reset at midnight local time.

How To Evolve Floette & Flabb Into Florges In Pokmon Go
Flabébé and Floette can evolve into Florges in Pokémon Go. Floette will need to have at least 20 Buddy Hearts before it can evolve into Florges.
Flabébé, Floette, and Florges can all be found and captured in Pokémon Go. This trio of Pokémon made their debut in the series back in Pokémon X and Y. It was also the generation where the Fairy-typing was added to the series, forever changing the meta-game. Fairy-types are special since they work best against Dragon-type Pokémon, a species of Pokémon that have been historically difficult to defeat. This family was added to Pokémon Go as part of its 2022 Valentine’s Day event, making it easier than ever to find the flower Pokémon. It was a trainer’s best bet to earn enough candy to evolve Flabébé into Florges.
For starters, there are five different types of Flababe for trainers to encounter in Pokémon GO. The type of flower the player finds will determine where the Flabébé is originally from. For example, Red Flower Flabébé can only be found in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe while the Yellow Flower Flabébé is exclusive to the Americas. It doesn’t matter which flower version the trainer finds since they can all evolve to their final form. Although, trainers looking to capture all five colored variants of Flabébé will need to travel the world to find them all.

Pokemon Go: How To Use The Buddy Pokemon System
How to get started with Pokemon Go’s latest feature: Buddy Pokemon.
Pokemon Go has received a significant update patch, and this latest update brings with it a few significant all-new features. Top of the list is an all-new feature for the game: Buddy Pokemon, the ability to set a particular Pokemon as your friend that’ll hang out with you on the menu screen and earn extra goodies as you walk around.
The Pokemon anime’s Ash Ketchum has his Pikachu, and you too can now be like Ash and keep a favourite Pokemon that hangs out with you outside of battle. There’s even a neat little easter egg for you if you, like Ash, pick Pikachu as your buddy.
Buddy Pokemon sadly don’t appear on the map, but they will appear on your profile page. More importantly, your buddy brings certain benefits, and will of particular note deliver to you candies that can then be spent on upgrades. Considering how difficult candy can be to come by this is a great way to earn candy for more rare species of Pokemon.
Pokmon Go Buddy: How To Choose The Very Best
Just like Ash chose Pikachu, Pokémon Go gives you the ability to choose Buddy Pokémon to take with you on your adventures. Sadly, the Buddy Pokémon doesnt appear on the map with you when you walk around at least not yet! but it does appear with you on the avatar button and on your player screen.
When you walk with your Buddy you get candy that you can use to evolve it, power it up, or both. Walk a Larvitar, get candy you can use to evolve Pupitar and Tyranitar, and power up Tyranitar. Walk Chansey, get candy you can use to evolve and power up Blissey.
You can get a lot more candy from hatching an egg or catching a Pokémon in the wild than you can walking a Pokémon, of course. But you never know when youll catch or hatch a specific Pokémon, and some Pokémon cant be hatched from eggs at all.

Besides Hatching And Catching Pokmon There’s A New Way To Earn Candy In Pokmon Go: The Buddy System Here’s How It Works

Earning Candy With Your Buddy
Making a Pokemon your buddy means that you earn candy for that particular Pokemon type every time you walk a certain distance. For example, if you were walking with Grotle, you’d be earning Turtwig candy. The rarer a Pokemon is, the longer you need to walk to earn one candy.
- 1 kilometre = 1 candy
- 3 kilometres =1 candy
- 5 kilometres = 1 candy
- 20 kilometres = 1 candy
There are two small exceptions to these rules:
- If the player is level 40 or higher, there’s a chance that their buddy will find a candy XL instead of the regular kind
- Buddy Pokemon can be “excited”and when they are, their usual distance requirement is halved
The first and foremost reason to have a buddy Pokemon is to earn candy! Candy is used to evolve and power up your Pokemon it can be earned in a number of ways, from simply catching Pokemon to trading them with your friends. However, walking with them is a method that you have complete control over!

Leveling Up Your Buddy
Your friendship with a Buddy Pokémon can level up four times, starting with Good Buddy and ending with Best Buddy. Each friendship level requires collecting a set amount of Affection Hearts, which are earned by interacting with your Buddy and playing the game with that Pokémon assigned as your Buddy.
There are four different Buddy Levels:
You can earn up to 10 Hearts a day to increase your friendship level. If your Buddys mood is Excited you can earn up to 20 Affection Hearts. You can reach the Best Buddy status in 30 days if you complete your daily tasks every day.
You can collect Affection Hearts by doing the following activities:
After acquiring the first set of 10 hearts, you can unlock the second set by reaching certain thresholds with each Activity category. These thresholds are still being researched, but it seems that theyre 200 snapshots, 20 new places to visit and a combination of other ones.
You can forcibly unlock additional 10 Hearts with use of Poffin without having completed any hearts .
Which Buddy Pokmon Should You Walk
It depends on what you need.
If you need candy, you should continue to walk with Pokémon that you need candy for. If youre low on Larvitar candy and youre trying to power up your Tyranitar, consider walking with it a bit.
Another option is to walk with Pokémon that you want the Best Buddy CP bonus on. Set a good attacker like Chandelure as your buddy and rake in both candy and a power boost once you hit the highest friendship level.
The last option is just to walk with whatever Pokémon you like. If you think Ferroseeds rolling animation is funny, use that. If you cant stand to be apart from your Shiny Bulbasaur, thats fine, too. Live your truth!

How To Manage Motivation
So youve captured the gym and put your best team in it. Youre set, right? Theres no way someone is going to take it from you. That used to be the case, but with the latest update things have changed. Now you have to take into account motivation, which is your Pokemons willingness to fight translated in combat power. Every day you hold a gym, the CP of your Pokemon drops. Once it hits zero, your Pokemon get kicked out of the gym unless you feed berries to each one holding it. To make matters worse, Pokemon with CP above 3,000 lose motivation faster. This ensures a more dynamic map, but also makes it harder to hold gyms. Thats why youll want to keep yourself well stocked with berries so you can keep your Pokemon in fighting shape.

Pokemon Go Buddy Candy: How Far Do You Have To Walk
This depends on the Pokemon you choose as a buddy, for example, Caterpie only asks you to walk 1km to earn a candy Mr Mime will have you walking 5km.
The breakdown basically relates to the overall potency of that character. The common Pokemon types like Rattata, Pidgy and MagiKarp are all 1km candy buddies and that applies to evolved forms too, as they all use the same candy.
The majority of Pokemon need you to walk 3km. This includes chaps like Shellder, Slowpoke, Drowzee, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Poliwag and so on.
The top level of 5km is preserved for those big hitters. Sadly Eevee falls into this section, so if you’re still trying to get your Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon evolves, you’ll have a lot of walking to do.
The 5km group also includes the likes of Snorlax, Onix, Dragonite and Lapras.
