Pokemon Gold Easter Eggs

House South Of Cerulean

Shiny Larvitar in 17 eggs! | Pokemon Gold | Shiny Gene Ditto method! #pokemon

The House South of Cerulean is easy to get to,but it definitely tries to make sure you stay out of it. When you reach the outside of this house, you will find a sign that tells you that implies the house is empty, it reads House for sale, nobody lives here. There you have it, its empty, nobody lives here, move along, please.

The house is, in fact, unlocked and you can walk right into it.

If you go inside the supposedly empty house, you will find two people sitting at a table. Are these the owners? The realtors? Squatters? Is the sign a total lie? Its hard to say, but either way, there definitely seems to be more going on at this house than first meets the eye.

Items Respawn In Wild Areas

The vast land of the Wild Areas can be overwhelming at first. Once you get used to it though, it can be exciting to find and pick up the various items hidden around. A secret that is not told to the player is that items in the Wild Area actually will respawn after about a day.

In terms of what the respawn effects are, it does so for berries in trees as well as shiny items. Items that can respawn include Fancy Apples, Rare Candies, various pearls, Revives, Pokéballs, mushrooms, herbs, feathers, bones, Star Pieces, Honey, and Energy Root. So don’t expect respawning TMs, but still collect what you can. Whatever you don’t use, you can sell.

The Hidden House In Olivine City

This was intended to be a thing before the game’s release, but changed but it’s another area that can be accessed with your cheat device.

Inside the house is a Rhydon that turns into a Clefairy after the woman remarks on it being sick. This is more of just a cool, gimmicky area than anything else there isn’t much to be gained from coming here except to see it.

There Is A Method To Berry Picking

Throughout Galar are berry trees, and they are imperative for curry ingredients as well as curing certain status afflictions. It is best to collect as many berries as you can. That means shaking trees a lot. However, you don’t want to shake the trees too much either because a Pokémon may fall out of it and battle you. This will make you lose many of the berries that fell.

There is a technique to this that the game does not share. When shaking trees, pause in-between shakes to see how much the branches are wiggling. The faster the wiggles, the more likely a Pokemon is going to drop on the next shake.

Only On The Game Boy Color

24 Pokemon Mini Figures Filled Easter Eggs. Perfect for Easter Hunting ...

After the success of Gold and Silver, Game Freak decided to continue it by having a complete version like what Pokemon Yellow did for Red and Blue. This new game was titled Pokémon Crystal and featured Suicune as the cover Legendary Pokémon. There were many differences to this game as it related to Gold and Silver, but one stands out above the rest: it was solely a Game Boy Color game.

This meant that anyone who had a Game Boy, played Gold and Silver, and wanted Crystal, would have to shell out the extra money to get a Game Boy Color just to play it. To be fair, the cartridge for the game was a transparent blue and it remains one of the most beautiful Game Boy cartridges to this day.

Sandyghast Shovel In The Daytime Beach

The daytime beach level is full of nods to Pokedex entries, but not everything is fun and games. Near the end of the course, there is a bright red shovel sticking in the sand, and at night there are Sandyghast moving around on the same beach.

Sandyghast eats Pokémon and very possibly snack on humans. At the very least, it takes control of them to evolve into Palossand. The fact that the shovel is just sitting there innocently is quite frankly a bit creepy.

Use Html To Change Pokemon Names

When choosing what to nickname your Pokemon, there are more subtle choices than you might think. While you edit a name, you can insert specific HTML code to change how your pokemon’s name looks, making the name either bold or italic.

It’s important to note that the HTML brackets count toward the overall character limit! Only short names will work!

To make a pokemon’s name italicized, enter a nickname, and the pokemon’s name on its personal page will have an altered font. However, it won’t change when looking at the list of pokemon in your storage, instead showing the full string of HTML formatting.

To make a Pokemon’s name Bold, enter a nickname, and the Pokemon’s name will be noticeably more bolded on its own page. Again, it won’t change when looking at all the Pokemon in your storage, instead showing the brackets until you tap on that Pokemon.

How To Track Rare Pokemon On Your Map

EASTER EGGS in Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver You Forgot & Missed

You can successfully track specific Pokemon if you keep your eye on the Nearby Pokemon list, located in the lower corner of your Map. As you can see in the video above, if the Pokemon icon is moving up the list to the top left spot, that means you’re getting closer to it! Try going in different directions until it gets fewer footprints and moves up the list. You may find yourself right next to that elusive Scyther soon!

You Can Flip League Cards For Extra Information

League Cards are a sweet detail to Galar’s culture, as they are much like baseball cards but with Pokemon trainers and Gym Leaders. As go players go through the story, they collect more and more of these and even get to make their own.

Some players did not release until way later that a lot of cool information about the trainer is on the back of their trainer card if they flip it over. There are more to the cards than just a picture and signature.

The Switch Console In The Game Should Match Yours

Previous generations of Pokemon games always had Nintendo consoles in the characters’ room. It was always so, and it was a little clever way for Nintendo to promote their stuff.

In Sword and Shield, this fact is no different. Instead of a Wii or Gamecube though, your character has a Switch in their room. The hidden secret, though, lies in the color. Switch consoles come in different colors. If you look at your Switch and your characters’ Switch, they should be the same color! If you are playing with a different Switch, the colors would be different.

Gym Leaders Have Meaningful Jersey Numbers

Nintendo was pretty clever in how they turned Pokemon into more of a spectator sport in Sword and Shield. One major way they did this is by giving every Gym Leader and challenger their own sports jersey, complete with numbers on the back.

While players could choose their own numbers, some began to wonder if the Gym Leaders’ numbers had any special meanings. The truth is, they do! In Japanese, all the numbers create little puns that suit the traits of the different characters. For example, Milo is a Grass-Type leader and his numbers translate to “veggie.”

You Are Reading :20 Pokémon Gold Silver And Crystal Secrets You STILL Dont Know

Pokémon Red and Blue were two of the biggest games on the original GameBoy, so it only makes sense that Nintendo would have Game Freak work on a sequel. The result was the critically-acclaimed duo of Pokémon Gold and Silver. Seeing a new adventure take place in a brand new region enthralled fans of the series and brought in more players.

Along with the new region was a host of new Pokémon to capture, including some evolutions and baby forms to pre-existing creatures. They were sequels to remember and have gone down in history as some of the best in the franchise. Since their release, Gold and Silver have seen their fair share of remakes as well as a re-release on the 3DS eShop complete with Pokémon Bank support.

Despite being out for so long, there are still many secrets that these games are still hiding. Whether it be related to the Pokémon you can capture, the locations you can visit, or the lore of the Johto Region, Gold and Silver are packed with new information.

After all these years, here are 20 Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal secrets that you still dont know to this day.

Pikachu Surfs On A Stunfisk

There is a Pikachu hanging around on the beach level in the day. Generally, he won’t be doing anything incredibly interesting, but if you lure him to a small plot of sand with a Stunfisk, he will hop on the creature and use it to surf.

This is a homage to several different parts of the franchise’s history, including the original Pokémon Snap where Pikachu poses on an actual surfboard.

The Time Glitch Trainer House

This particular Trainer House glitch will change your experience there in a way that’s different to the Unown trick’s results, but still equally weird. If you turn the time on your game backward directly after a Mystery Gift encounter or a trade, an interesting Pokémon Trainer will appear at this glitched-out version of the Trainer House. He’ll have six Pokémon, but they’ll all technically be fainted before the battle even starts! When this guy sends out his first “Pokémon”which turns out to be a glitched creaturethe whole game will crash. Who is he, and what’s with his Pokémon?! Nobody knows.

Glowing Pokemon Have Better Stats

The glowing Pokemon players may meet on the road are worth a second glance. They actually have a lot to offer. While their level is typically higher than others in their area, and they give out Watts upon defeat, they also will have better stats. In fact, they tend to have at least two of their stats at perfect.

Players that care about IVs may want to catch a couple of these for breeding. Even for those who don’t care about stats, it is just nice to know that these particular Pokemon would be a better asset to your team.

The Rare Pokmon Fishing Area

Pokemon that CHANGED SHINIES

While there are a lot of glitch-based areas that the player can access in Pokémon Gold and Silver, very few of them actually allow you to catch Pokémon without the game totally crashing. However, there’s one area accessed using Gameshark codes that actually allows you to fish for Pokémon on the tile in which you starteven though there’s no water there!

The Pokémon you encounter aren’t Water-types, either.

They’re usually pretty rare creatures with levels that can be impossibly high. Known as Glitch Map 0xDA00, this area features Ho-oh, Umbreon, and Jolteon as accessible Pokémon. Sure, visiting it MIGHT break your game… But is the risk worth it? That’s for you to decide!

Hunt For Shiny Pokmon

The mystical world of Pokémon is filled with extra content to keep completionists busy for hours on end. While the main stories of Gold and Silver take approximately 30 hours to beat, players take on average, 163 hours to reach 100% completion. Hunting for shiny Pokémon, however, will extend the journey much, much longer.

Aside from Red Gyarados, the rest of the shiny Pokémon are not easy to find. The odds of encountering a shiny Pokémon in Gold and Silver is 1/8192 a ratio that will give most players pause. Catching every shiny Pokémon in the game is an insurmountable task that few dare to attempt.

Walk Through Walls Glitch

Video games are supposed to be bound by the mechanics set by the video game developers. Of course, thats not how things actually work in the real world. Gamers are able to find glitches and loopholes that allow them to take advantage of the system, kind of like how data mining has become normal.

The glitch will let anyone who uses it explore the entire game – even the places you arent normally supposed to go.

Using this Walk Through glitch, the player is able to walk literally everywhere in the entire game. You can walk through walls and other objects, making virtually no place off limits to the player. You could even walk on water – just dont expect any praise for it.

Kukui’s Body Is Ready

Professor Kukui in the Sun and Moon games is not afraid to show a little skin, which some players really appreciated. Others were slightly perturbed at the implications of one line that called attention to his physical form, especially as it’s unclear what’s happening while he’s saying it. “Give it everything you’ve got! My body is ready. Woo!”

Though you’ve almost certainly seen this phrase online, you might not know its origin. The clumsy word choice was used by Nintendo executive Reggie Fils-Amie during his Nintendo Wii Fit demonstration at 2007’s E3 convention. In 2010, the clip was rediscovered, birthing the meme. Seeing it referenced in a Nintendo game kind of brings it full circle.

Try To Find The Safari Zone

Dalek eggs

Buried in the coding of Pokémon Gold and Silver is the plan for a Safari Zone. As demonstrated by YouTube creator “yaziyo,” entering the Safari Zone is possible in Pokémon Gold and Silver by exploiting a glitch. By inputting code and walking into Fuchsia City’s mart, one will find themselves inside the sealed off Safari Zone entrance building.

Moreover, people can step into the Safari Zone. Despite there being water and tall grass, Pokémon cannot be found in this hidden Safari Zone.

There Are More Customization Options Than You May Think

Players love customization, and Nintendo knows this. They slowly have introduced more and more ways to customize your character in Pokemon games. In Sword and Shield, there are a lot more options.

RELATED: Weird Japanese Video Game Accessories

All players know you can customize your character, but did you know that you can also customize your tent and bike gear? Well, just the colors. The way to do it is a little odd, as it changes based on what Pokemon you have at the front of your party while talking to certain NPCs in the Wild Area.

Obtain Celebi By Using A Glitch Involving The Daycare

As the guardian of the Ilex Forest , Celebi is the rarest Pokémon of Gen 2 since it is impossible to catch under normal circumstances. Luckily, there is a glitch in Gold and Silver, which allows you to obtain a Celebi.

Sure, the developers of Pokémon Gold and Silver could have added a more practical way to capture this legendary Pokémon, but truth be told, it’s a heck of a lot easier than getting Mew in Pokémon RedandBlue.

How To Catch Pikachu As Your Starter Pokemon

Though most Pokemon found in the game are semi-random, there’s a way to catch Pikachu as a starting Pokemon.

Video Guide: How to Catch Pikachu Starter

You will notice upon creating your character that Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle will appear around you.

However, if you refuse to catch these three starting Pokemon, and ignore them long enough, Pikachu will appear on your map alongside the others, ready for you to catch!

You’ll need to refuse these Pokemon at least four times before Pikachu will appear. Once you see Pikachu, zoom and catch him and he’ll be yours forever!

Xp Trick For Lucky Eggs

5 SECRETS ET EASTER EGGS DANS POKÃMON HEARTGOLD & SOULSILVER

The Lucky Egg doubles all XP earned for 30 minutes! Combine this with Incense or a Lure Module and you’ll be raking in XP just by catching lots of Pokemon, as seen in the video above.

What you may not know is that evolving Pokemon grants you the most XP out of anything in the game, and Lucky Eggs actually double your normal 500 XP reward to 1000XP for each Pokemon you level up.

To really reap the benefits, you should capture a lot of common Pokemon, like Pidgey or Caterpie, that require relatively few Candy to evolve. This has been referred to as the Pidgey Exploit, as Pidgey is very common for some people, and only cost 12 Candy to evolve for 1000 XP. Even better: If you’re evolving a Pokemon into one you haven’t caught before, you’ll get 2,000 XP!

The Step-by-Step Process to the “Pidgey Exploit”:

  • Step 1: Don’t Transfer Pokemon

Collect easy-to-catch-and-evolve Pokemon, like Pidgey. Pidgey are easy to come by and only cost 12 Pidgey Candy to evolve. The more the better. Save them for a Lucky Egg evolution binge. Favorite all the Pokemon you want to evolve with a star to keep things in order.

If you have Pokemon that you know will evolve into something you haven’t caught before, save them for your Lucky Egg XP spree, too.

  • Step 2: Plan for After Your Evolution Spree

You have 30 minutes to exploit the Lucky Egg, so only use it when you can also go out and catch Pokemon, using a lure or incense.

  • Step 3: Activate the Lucky Egg
  • Step 4: Get to Evolving!
