Evolution Stones can be found as rare pick-ups at the end of certain post-story Dungeons. For example, we found two of them, as well as other treasures, at the final floor of Waterfall Pond. Consider Moves Learned At Specific Levels
Evolution, unlike the main games does not raise your stats by high values. Because of this, evolution can hinder you sometimes as it prevents you from learning powerful moves at early levels.
Charmander
In Charmander’s case, it learns Inferno at Lv. 42. If you evolved it into a Charmeleon or a Charizard it learns it at Lv. 54 and Lv. 62 respectively. If you want Inferno early on, do not evolve your Charmander until Lv. 42

First things first: in order to Mega Evolve a Pokemon, youll need to get your hands on an Empowerment Seed. It is an item that causes the to Awaken AKA itll change its form.
Finding one isnt as easy as it sounds though. Its just a random drop most of the time, though it can be given away as a Mission reward upon completing an objective and returning to the Pelipper Post Office. The item becomes more common once the main story campaign is completed, though it can be found before then if the RNG gods are on your side.

Once a Seed is used on a monster, itll give it a giant stats boost which is something youll want if youre about to face off against a boss or a strong foe. It also makes it so that disadvantageous type matches are nullified, and linked moves always land as critical hits.
As well as giving a huge boost to stats, the Empowerment Seed can also cause a Pokemon to Mega Evolve once eaten though only certain ones have the ability to transform.
The state is only temporary though and only lasts for that specific floor, and will be forcibly removed if affected by status conditions such as Sleep or Paralysis, or if you use a Reset Orb.
Because of this, its recommended that you only force an Evolution if youre about to face a tough boss or if youre in a particularly difficult dungeon its not something youll want to use lightly, especially since the item is so hard to come by.

The short answer is that in order to evolve Pokemon in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX, you need to beat the main story. After you see the credits roll and “The End” on your screen, you can return to the town square and find a place called the Luminous Cave has opened by Whiscash’s Pond.
Entering the cave will present you with a menu that will allow you to evolve any of your Pokemon provided they have a Pokemon to evolve into in the first place, of course. There are specific criteria you have to meet depending on the Pokemon though.
When looking at the information screen if the Pokemon is able to evolve it’ll specify the level it needs to be in order to evolve. For these Pokemon, it’s as simple as reaching that level then entering Luminous Cave and evolving them.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is different from typical Pokémon games in that you play a Pokémon rather than a Pokémon trainer. You’ll spend the game helping other Pokémon and recruiting them to join your Rescue Team and adventure with you. The flavor might be unusual, but the game is still about filling out your Pokédex, and some of the Pokémon can only be added to your team through evolution.
While you can catch evolved Pokémon throughout the game, you can’t do any evolving until you’ve completed the main story but, yes! You can do it. After you complete the game, you’ll want to pay a visit to Whiscash Pond. From there, you’ll gain access to the Wonderous Cave along with your other unlocked dungeons. Send the Pokémon you want to evolve there alone and designated as party leader, and if they are ready to evolve, they will.
The game will notify you if they don’t meet a level requirement. You can then come back when they’re leveled up, which usually just takes a few runs in the game’s training dojo.

How Do I Mega Evolve My Pokmon
To kick things off, you’ll have to complete the main story of Rescue Team DX before even thinking of evolving your Pokémon, let alone utilizing Mega Evolution. After completing the campaign, take your starters to Whiscash’s Pond, where you’ll once again speak to the prophetic fish Pokémon you were introduced to earlier in the game. You’ll also notice that a passage has opened by the pond called the Luminous Cave. Inside it, you’ll find the secret to evolving your Pokémon. Once you’ve unlocked the standard evolution method and achieved your maximum form, you can enter the wonderful world of Mega Evolution.
If you’ve played Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, the way to Mega Evolve in this game might not seem totally unfamiliar. However, instead of collecting Emera for the Awakening skill, you’ll use a special item known as an Empowerment Seed. Rather than having to craft a specific looplet, you’ll just consume the Empowerment Seed, which actually gives any Pokémon a buff regardless of whether or not they can harness the power of Mega Evolution.

You’ll want to note that Mega Evolution is, as mentioned, only a temporary transformation, so you’ll want to save the Awakening of your Pokémon for a particularly tough dungeon. Mega Evolution requires a Pokemon that can Mega Evolve like Charizard or Groudon. You need to use an Empowerment Seed to accomplish this, which can be bought or found in dungeons.
The Mega Evolution will last for the duration of the dungeon, so be sure to save it for when you really need it like tough boss fights or dungeons.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Dx Evolution Crystals
Evolution Crystals are pink gems that you won’t be able to find until you reach the postgame. You can sometimes find them in Kecleon’s shop inside dungeons, and there’s also a rare chance of finding a floor with no enemies with some Evolution Crystals in a single large room. They can also be obtained as job rewards.
We haven’t discovered whether they can be bought from the shop in the town square yet, but will update this if we find they can.
When you’ve got an Evolution Crystal, evolving the Pokemon works in the same way. Head into Luminous Cave then as long as you’ve got an Evolution Crystal in your toolbox, you’ll be able to evolve one Pokemon for every crystal. Good luck!
