The Pokemon Anniversary Special: A Long List Of Plans
Regarding the Pokemon anime series, the franchise has seen a steady flow of content. Pokemon Master Journeys The Series premiered in Tokyo and its affiliates. For the series, the first twelve episodes debited in June 2020. As the episodes air, Netflix also adds new episodes quarterly. The series is now available to watch on Netflix in the original Japanese audio and English dub.
For the Pokemon franchise altogether, the company announced a new game release. Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet on Pokemon day in February, along with an update to Legends of Arceus. Both versions of the game will be available on Nintendo Switch later this year. Other updates for the two games are consistently being updated on the games official website.
The Pokemon 25th-anniversary anime special will air on April 1st on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. It is unknown when and if there will be an international release at the moment.
Does Ash Appear In The Main Games
Technically, Ash has never officially appeared in any of the main games. However, the protagonist of Pokémon Red& Yellow, Red, holds many similarities with the animes main character. Both Trainers are from Pallet Town, love to wear hats, and, in Pokémon Yellow, Red also starts with a Pikachu and gets the three main starters Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur along the way.
While Ash is at least partially inspired by Red, and vice-versa for the post-anime RPGs, the games and anime exist in their own universes and are not directly linked. That said, the games have dropped hints that Ash does exist as a separate person to Red. This mostly comes in the form of special events that hand out Pokémon implied to have been owned by Ash.
How Many Siblings Does Brock Have
For the most part, many families in the Pokémon series are shown to be fairly small. It is common for there to be a single parent and one or two children for the majority of new trainers whose families are actually shown in the series. Brock, on the other hand, comes from a much larger family, being the oldest out of six boys and four girls, excluding his mother and father. His siblings, aside from Forrest, who looks after the gym when he is away, are Salvadore, Yolanda, Tilly, Billy, Timmy, Cindy, Tommy, Suzie.

What Is His Japanese Name
Like most other characters in Pokémon, Brock’s name is quite different between languages, usually wanting to keep their association with a particular type specialty in the case of Gym Leaders. Brock’s name in Japan is Takeshi, in which ‘take’ means mountain peak and ‘ishi’ means stone. The word Takeshi by itself also means brave, which can be an accurate descriptor of his personality across all of his counterparts.

In Season Seven, we see the pair in a romantic relationship, but in a flash forward, after Bonnie gets in trouble with the Armory, three years ago, and Enzo stepped up to keep them away from her. Was She Also A Rhyhorn Racer In The Manga
One of Serena’s biggest hurdles in the anime was overcoming her mother’s desire for her to become a Rhyhorn racer, with her spending much of her free time learning how to calm and ride the otherwise wild Pokémon.

While Y does have a Rhyhorn, she was never a Rhyhorn racer like Serena. Instead, Y is a dedicated sky battler alongside her Fletchinder, though it is odd that as a sky trainer, she only has one eligible partner as none of her other Pokémon can fly.
Serenas Mothers Passion For Rhyhorn Was Crazy
A big part of the reason Serena was so confused about what to do with her future was because of the pressure that her mother placed on her to become a Rhyhorn racer. Her mother was a famous Rhyhorn racer, who absolutely adored the sport and wanted to encourage her daughter to follow in her footsteps. Her relationship with her mother, and an accident during Rhyhorn racing practice, actually caused her to hate the Pokémon itself, until she taught Ash how to race Rhyhorn.
Right before Ash was taken by Team Rocket, the two spent a day together teaching Ash the sport. During that same day, Serena realized that she actually had a connection with Rhyhorn, and began to understand why her mother loved it so much. While she didnt want to actually become a racer, she did understand why her mother wanted her to do it.

Why Did He Never Evolve Onix
Many characters’ Pokémon have gone on to evolve in subsequent series where they have a new evolution added, including Brock’s Crobat and Ash’s Aipom, but one that Brock never evolved was his Onix. His most powerful Pokémon only evolved after it was left with Forrest to take care of the gym, though it was later returned to Brock at an unknown time. This is one of the only times Brock is shown to have a Steelix in the manga. The only other time Brock’s team features a Steelix is in Pokémon Stadium 2.
Giving Chase At The Rhyhorn Race
This is Serenas first episode as Ashs traveling companion, following her disappointing reunion with Ash in Battling on Thin Ice! Ash now remembers his first meeting with Serena, as she returns him the handkerchief he gifted her back then. Later, the group runs into a pack of Rhyhorn, and Serena impresses the group with her riding skills.
After explaining to Ash that her mother is a famous Rhyhorn racer, Serena teaches him how to ride one. The next day, Ash sets off on a real race while Serena encounters Team Rocket, as the evil trio try to sabotage the Rhyhorn race in an attempt to steal Pikachu. For Serenas first outing as Ashs friend, she finds quite the adventure!

Pokmon: How Old Is Serena
Serena is one of Ash’s traveling companions in Pokémon X & Y. Here’s what fans want to know about the budding trainer and performer.
Even as a fresh-faced Pokémon trainer, Serena stands out from the many other companions Ash has had over the years. Not only does she leave home without a clue about her goals in life, but she is also the only companion who knew Ash before the series began and has very obvious romantic feelings for him, even kissing him in her final episode.

For the most part, Serena was able to keep Ash on his chosen path even when he was at his lowest or feeling the pressure in a particularly important battle. Where Is Serena Now
As was commonplace with the Pokémon series, there are very few instances where a character will travel with Ash across multiple regions, with the only exceptions being Brock and Misty. At the end of the Kalos series, Serena decides that she needs some more experiences as a performer and is told to travel to the Hoenn region and take part in their contests. As of now, she is likely still in Hoenn performing in said contests, though considering the current format of Pokémon Journeys, it’s likely that Ash may run into her again sooner rather than later.
How Many Pokmon Does She Have
As a performer, Serena doesn’t need as many Pokémon on her team as a regular trainer, and, as such, her team is comparatively small against the likes of May and Dawn. In the anime, Serena has only three Pokémon: the Fire starter Braixen, Pancham, and Sylveon, giving her one of the smallest teams for a main character in the show. Her manga counterpart, on the other hand, has a few changes as well as a near full team. Y’s final team is Fletchinder, Sylveon, Greninja, Rhyhorn, and an Absol that can Mega Evolve.

Is Ash A Great Trainer
Considering his experience, Ash is not a particularly great Trainer, but he is a good one. Putting aside the fact he constantly swaps out his team for new members who need a whole lot of training, Ash does not always retain all the lessons learned from previous adventures. Perhaps Pikachus periodic shocks have done more damage than is apparent.
With the exception of Black & White, Ash has continued to improve with basically each new season. XY marked a high point for the character as a Trainer, presenting an Ash that was more mature and strategic.
She Has A Crush On Ash
Unlike all his other female companions, Serena never really argues with Ash. They dont butt heads or get into petty fights. While this is partly because Serena is just a kind, polite person in general, its also because she has a crush on Ash. She has since they were kids. Ever since he rescued her at Professor Oaks summer camp. When Ash first appeared in Kalos, on the news, Serena was intent on tracking him down to thank him. The anime often shows her blushing when Ash does something cool, and when anyone brings up her feelings for him.

Pokmon Journeys: The Series
Ash wears a blue vest with yellow outlines, a white undershirt with short sleeves and a red stripe, indigo shorts with black outlines, and black sneakers with blue highlights. He also wears a red cap with a black Poké Ball design formed into the letter C. During his second visit to Galar, he wears a Dynamax Band on his right wrist which he obtains from Leon. Also, Ash sometimes returns to wearing his Z-Power Ring on his left wrist whenever he is battling in an important match, especially World Coordination Series battles.
Ashs sided spike hair has increased a bit and are sharper like they were before, his eyebrows and his spike hair tuft is larger than usually seen in previously. When he is not wearing his hat, his hair remains the same, only smoother and shorter. Ashs two lighting bolt-like markings still remain slightly bigger like they were in the sun and moon series. His eyes are a bit wider than they were before.

Her Fennekin Burned Her In The Face
Serenas skill as a trainer is not great. She improves over the course of the anime, but in the beginning she let her emotions influence her Pokémon too much. Once she got upset with her Fennekin after a bad Performance rehearsal, her Fennekin responded by shooting her with Flamethrower. Serena wasnt injured though and the two made up later.
Weirdly, this is a tradition in the anime. Trainers getting burned in the face by their starter Fire Pokémon. Previously it happened to Dawn with her Cyndaquil and it started way back with Ash and his Charizard. What an odd tradition.

Does Misty Have Romantic Feelings For Ash
A running fan theory among the audience is that Misty developed romantic feelings for Ash during their adventures, which is why she spends so much time berating and assaulting him to cover her feelings. Seeing as how Serena was written to be a potential love interest much more clearly, its unlikely that Misty in the anime ever had feelings for Ash that are stronger than platonic friendship. Misty in the manga, on the other hand, had strong feelings for Red, the character who Ash was modeled on in the anime, so there is still the possibility of them being a couple.

Shes The Only Main Character To Have A Permanent Design Change
Ash has changed his outfit a few times, but Serena is the only character to have her new design acknowledged in-universe. The writers even gave it a backstory. After failing in her Pokémon Showcase debut, Serena felt low about herself. This was her lifes goal and she failed. Comforted by her Fennekin, Serena found her courage and cut her hair short to show her resolve. She got herself a new outfit too. Amazingly, she stuck with this design for the rest of the series and never changed back. Thats a first for Pokémon. Her look can be recreated in-game too.
What Is Her Japanese Name
Unlike virtually every other character in Pokémon, Serena’s name wasn’t changed in localization. This trend follows through with all of her other localized names as well, with her either being called Serena or a transliteration of that name more suited to the language it is being translated into. The same can’t be said for her mother, Grace, whose name is based on “race” due to her status as a former Rhyhorn racer, while her Japanese name, Saki, could be based on multiple different words in Japanese.

Pikachu wrecking Mistys bicycle in the first episode was the impetus for Ash and Mistys friendship. She was following Ash around in the hopes that he would replace it. The small weasel, on the other hand, never did. Misty did get her bike back, but it wasnt from Ash.
Why Is Goh So Hated
One of the most common criticisms of Goh is how he catches Pokémon. Up until Pokémon Journeys, every series of the anime has hammered home the point that a Pokémon must be weakened in battle before you can catch it. Theres also controversy around the sheer volume of Pokémon that Goh has been catching.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon anime series, which premiered in Japan on April 1, 1997, Pokémon Journeys is getting a one-hour special of Ash heading back to fan-favorite anime region Kalos to take on Elite Four member Drasna in the Pokémon World Championships, making the dragon trainer’s first appearance in the main anime series. To accompany Ash in Kalos, his companions from Pokémon X and Y, Clemont and Bonnie mark their return to the anime.
Pokémon shared some images from the upcoming one-hour special “Hyper-Class Vs. Elite Four Member Drasna!!” featuring all the native Kalos residents.
Alongside the return of Clemont and Bonnie, their respective voice actors Yuki Kaji and Mariya Ise from Pokémon X and Y make their return to the TV anime series. Though surprisingly, another character from the Kalos region hasn’t been announced to return…
Pokémon Journeys airs as just Pokémon in Japan every Friday on TV Tokyo. Netflix is releasing the series in North America, with the latest batch uploaded on January 21 titled Pokémon Master Journeys, with 86 episodes of the currently broadcast 101 episodes in Japan currently available in English. The next batch of episodes is set to be released in March 2022.

Ash has gained many fantastic friends and comrades as he travels the ever-expanding world of Pokémon, but Serena is the first one who feels like a true partner.
