How Do You Get High Cp In 2020

Pokemon Go IVs – Does IV Matter? – How to Appraise Your Army
  • Step 1: Raise Trainer Level. Raise Trainer Level To Increase Pokemon CP Limit. A Pokemon’s CP can only go up as high as its trainer level will allow. …
  • Step 2: Check Needed Stardust & Candy. Powering Up Needs Stardust & Pokemon Candy. …
  • Step 3: Power Up Pokemon. Choose Pokemon You Want To Power Up.
  • Attack Speeds And Dps

Moves have different, set attack speeds.

Don’t let the Power listed on the move fool you. Generally, moves withhigher power will have slower attack speeds.

That isn’t to say each move has the same DPs: Water Gun for example is one of the best DPs moves you can use, whilst Thunder-Shock has the same attack speed but deals half as much damage.

You can calculate a move’s base DPs value by plugging the values in here:

    DPS =

To find out a specific pokemons DPs value relative to others, multiply that move’s base DPs by the user’s Attack stat.

For example: Let’s find the DPs value of Vaporeon:

Vaporeon has a base Attack stat of 186.Vaporeon can only learn Water Gun as his basic attack.Water Gun is 10 power and has an attack interval of 500ms.You can attack twice per second with WaterGun .The effective power is now 20 but Vaporeon also gets a STAB boost sinceit is Water-type. This brings Water Gun up to 25 effective power .Multiply his attack 186*25 = 4650. This puts Vaporeon’s DPS at #7th high-est Combining this with the fact Vaporeon has one of the biggest healthpools and a decent defence makes him the top pokemon by far at themoment. It’s no coincidence you see Vaporeons at the top of many gyms.

Personally, I can’t wait for trainer battles to come so we can have nothing but 6v6 Vaporeon battles!

    Pay Attention To The Weather

Niantics new weather system changes which Pokémon are likely to appear based on the days conditions, and you can find out how weather changes things by tapping the new Weather icon in the top right corner of the screen when on the World Map. Pokémon affected by the weather will be ringed in white when you see them on the map, and youll get bonuses for catching them.

How Should You Use The New Appraisal Feature

The new Appraisal feature is a great way to quickly discover how powerful your new Pokemon are. Finding out that an old favourite has a three star rating is incredibly gratifying.

It’s especially useful for when you’re comparing a bunch of the same Pokémon, as you can keep the stat appraisal screen open as you move between Pokémon. This allows you to quickly compare stats and star rankings as you try to decide which Pokémon to keep and which ones to release.

You can even search for Pokémon by their specific star tier, just like how you can search for them by name. To do this, you’ll need to search:

    • 0* = 0 Stars
    • 3* = 3 Stars
    • 4* = 3 Stars with a red background / 100% Pokémon

The new ranking system makes it a lot easier to decide which Pokémon are worth investing your Stardust and Candy in. Though it’s still important to remember a Pokémon’s rarity and whether it’s one of the best Pokémon in the game.

Though by and large the closer to 100% this is the better, depending on the Pokémon, some individual stats are more important than others – so it isn’t the be all and end all.

For example, if you have a Snorlax – one of the best creatures to put in a gym with its high health – with a low HP stat, that makes it a less attractive proposition. But then again, because it’s rare, you might not have any alternative Snorlax to rely on. Of course, an average Snorlax will still perform better than others in its field, so it could still be worth Powering up.

Can You Still Spoof In Pokmon Go 2021

    Why do Appraisals matter? [Edited]

Is it still possible to spoof a Pokémon GO location in 2021? Yes it is. However, you will need to install a GPS spoofing app and mask that youre spoofing it to do so. If you have an Android phone, you will also need to go into Developer Mode, or if you have an iPhone, you will need to jailbreak it to enable this.

    How To Purify Shadow Pokemon

Purifying Shadow Pokemon is a lot easier than in the spin-off games where they first appeared.

  • Open your storage
  • Choose the Shadow Pokemon you want
  • Then choose Purify
  • Shadow ‘mon have a purple flame next to their icons. You can find the Purify option near the Power-Up and Evolve options.

Also, you don’t actually have to Purify. If you use Shadow Charmander to turn into Shadow Charmeleon, that’s certainly possible to do.

But if you do choose to Purify, it costs a set amount of Stardust and Candy that’s related to the specific Shadow Pokemon. This is where Purifying early comes in handy since it requires more Candy to Purify evolved Pokemon.

Purified Pokemon have a blue star next to their icon in your storage.

How To Pick The Best Starter Pokmon

Like in the classic handheld video game series, you begin your adventure by picking a starter. At first, you will be surrounded with the three classic starter Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. Choosing a starter isnt too important, as youll find higher-level Pokémon very soon at this point in the game, so your best bet is picking a starter Pokémon you have a good chance of evolving quickly.

Which Pokémon you choose should depend on where you live. If youre in a hotter, drier climate, a Charmander is the better choice. Choose a Squirtle if youre near water. Select a Bulbasaur if youre in a more temperate, grassy area. Picking the Pokémon that fits your area increases the likelihood that youll be able to find and catch more Charmander, Squirtle, or Bulbasaur. This means youll be able to earn candies and evolve your starters into more powerful Pokémon sooner. Well get into evolution a bit more later.

There is also a hidden fourth starter: Pikachu. You have to follow some simple but specific steps in order to get the electric mouse to appear. Thankfully, weve got a detailed guide describing exactly what to do.

Bonuses Field Research And Catching Mew

We mentioned field research above, the new system of activities that give players a reason to log in to Pokémon Go every day. Youll also get bonus items and experience points for catching at least one Pokémon every day and for spinning at least one Pokéstop every day. Maintaining a multi-day streak increases the bonuses each day for up to seven days. Youll also want to try to knock out one field research activity every day to quickly get a chance at Legendary Pokémon.

Niantic also added special research to the game along with field research, which is the closest thing Pokémon Go has to a story campaign. This series of tasks is the path to eventually catching a Mew, but itll take a lot of investment and time to get there. The good news is that, as you clear each group of three requirements in Professor Willows special research assignments , youll earn a lot of rewards.

A quick tip about special research

If youre working on catching all the Magikarps necessary to evolve a Gyrados, hold off until you work through Professor Willows special research. One of the requirements along the way is to evolve a Gyrados, and since doing so takes a really long time, you dont want to waste your Magikarps before you can count it on your path to getting a Mew.

Should I Evolve 4 Star Pokmon

You can check out our tips for evolving Pokémon in Pokémon Go for more detail, but generally it’s advisable to evolve your high-IV Pokémon before you start spending Stardust to Power Up and increase its Level. That’s because each time a Pokémon evolves, although its IVs stay the same, its moveset is randomised.

Here Are Some Tips For Finding Pokmon

    Long range

Whenever a Pokémon appears, as long as its on screen, you can tap it to begin the catching process no matter how far away it is from you.

    Youll get another shot

Dont give up if a Pokémon flees while youre trying to catch it. It may reappear on the map, so you may get another chance.

Bring all the Pokémon to your yard

Use Incense and Lure modules! Incense is a consumable item you can earn by leveling up or purchase from the Pokémon Go shop. It attracts Pokémon to you, naturally increasing your odds of spotting a rare Pokémon. It also lowers the probability of them fleeing.

Lure modules work in a similar way, but are applied to a PokéStop rather than a player. They attract Pokémon to a specific location for 30 minutes. This benefits all players in the area. So, if you see a PokéStop on your map with pink, confetti-like animation, go there for a better chance of finding Pokémon. Add some incense and youre likely to be swarmed by the little monsters.

    Dont forget about events!

Tune in for monthly community days and other Niantic events. These are always broadcast in your Pokémon Go app and often focus on Pokémon from a particular region or of a particular type. The community day each month is a great way to get out and catch a specific, usually rare, kind of Pokémon as well. Keep an eye out for special events to quickly find lots of Pokémon and jumpstart the path to some evolutions.

    How Much Does It Matter

While most people are chasing 80%+ IVs just so their appraisals look good, you have to ask just how important it is. On one hand, if you’re going to be investing stardust and candy into a Pokémon, you might as well choose the best one. On the other hand, is it ever going to be the different between win or lose?

The different from 0% IV to 100% is going to be about a 10-20% impact on your total CP. That type of impact wouldn’t be that noticeable. On occasion you would find some meaningful impact if some combat numbers rounded in your favor. However, in the same vein, rounded combat numbers could also make that impact meaningless. It is worth noting that IVs are number bonuses to your Pokémon’s base stats, so it will haev a more noticeable impact on lower CP and lower level Pokémon, but that’s not really where people are focusing their effort. Now, consider that it should be very easy to find yourself a 60%+ IV Pokémon and really it’s not too important to chase high IVs as the different between 60% and 100% would not likely be noticeable and very unlikely to be the different between a win or loss. You may just save seconds here and there.

Still, it’s fun to chase the best numbers, especially if you already have multiple of a certain Pokémon and getting a higher IV is your next goal! For people who want to maximize everything, it’s a good way to keep chasing value in the game. Think of it like a shiny, it may not impact much, but it’s certainly a lot cooler.

Pokemon Go Iv Appraisal Changes Explained

First, for those who arent familiar with IVs, heres a quick breakdown. Every Pokemon in the game has individual values for their HP, Attack, and Defense stats. The maximum IV number is 15, and the closer each stat is to that maximum, the stronger it will be when compared to the same Pokemon at the same level.

These values cant change unless a Pokemon is traded and the numbers can only be found through a third-party app or appraisal.

Its also important to keep in mind that a low IV Mewtwo will still be much more useful and powerful than a Dunsparce with perfect IVs. Its best to use IVs as a way to decide which Bidoof youll evolve and power up and which one youll transfer for candies.

Never use them to compare two different Pokemon until youve spent enough time with the game and understand how different species compare without IVs.

    Cp Explained In Pokemon Go

    Why do Appraisals matter? [Edited]

A Pokemons combat power is an aggregated statistic that gives a rough idea as to how powerful they are. It is based on IV scores and that Pokemons current level.

Generally, a Pokemon with higher CP will perform better in battle than one with a lower stat. There are other factors such as types, moveset, and weather bonuses that alter this paradigm, though. Nonetheless, it is a good way of determining a Pokemons strength at a base level.

This does mean that a Pokemon with a high CP can have terrible IVs and vice-versa. While high CP Pokemon dont need to be leveled up as much they can still be weak.

Conversely, a Pokemon with a low CP can have perfect IV values. As a result, its important to check a Pokemons IV using the appraisal feature Niantic introduced, or with an IV calculator such as PokeGenie if going into more detail.

    What Are Shadow Pokemon

Shadow Pokemon are ‘mon that have been corrupted by darkness, which means they have been corrupted by Team GO Rocket. Shadow Pokemon have different movesets and primarily rely on Frustration.

As you’d expect, Shadow Pokemon look different from their regular counterparts, with sinister red eyes and a shadowy aura.

Obtaining Shadow Pokemon is tied to the recently-introduced Team GO Rocket. Periodically, Team Rocket will invade PokeStops at random.

Reddit user meier-anderson discovered these invasions last roughly 30 minutes. If you notice one happening, it’s best to jump on it right away.

When a PokeStop is invaded, you’ll see it take on a darker appearance, and the icon jerks around. Although invasions are random, Niantic has apparently increased their frequency since the mechanic first went live.

Once you challenge Team Rocket and defeat the Grunt’s team of Shadow Pokemon, they’ll leave one behind. You can then capture it in the same way you would for a Raid capture.

From there, you can choose to keep it as a Shadow ‘mon or work to Purify it.

Have Nanab Berries handy when you encounter a Shadow Pokemon to make capture easier.

How To Train And Evolve Your Pokmon

Your goal may be catching one of every Pokémon, but you need to grab many Pokémon to be successful in Pokémon Go. The only way to power up and evolve your Pokémon is by feeding them candies and Stardust, which are collected by catching Pokémon, hatching Pokémon, making a Pokémon your buddy and walking with it, and by transferring them to Professor Willow. You can transfer Pokémon you dont want by highlighting them on the Pokémon Menu Screen and choosing the Transfer menu option, and you can evolve Pokémon by choosing Evolve when you select one on the Pokémon Menu.

Evolving your Pokémon is one of the main goals of the game, but it takes effort. In order to evolve, say, an Eevee, you will need 25 Eevee candies, which only come from catching or hatching Eevees or from Pokémon that evolve from Eevee. Every Eevee you catch nets you three candies, and transferring them grants you another per transferred Pokémon. So, for each extra Eevee you catch and transfer, you get four candies, meaning youll need to catch seven Eevees in total to evolve just one.

Different Pokémon evolutions require different amounts of candies. Evolving a Ghastly to Haunter, for example, only requires 25 Ghastly candies, whereas evolving a Haunter to a Gengar will require another 100 Ghastly candies. If you want to evolve a Magikarp to a Gyarados, youll need a whopping 400 Magikarp candies.

The Best Pokmon In Pokmon Go By Type

There are hundreds of Pokémon available in Pokémon Go, and hundreds more still to come as the game passes through the generations. Combine that with the fact that attacking and defending Gyms, tackling raids, and fighting in PvP all require different strengths in different areas, and it’s pretty clear that there are no objectively ‘best’ Pokémon for every scenario.

It’s still useful, though, to know which Pokémon are generally strong that can be used for each, and the easiest way to divvy them up is by Type. Here’s an at-a-glance look at the strongest Pokémon by type right now, including the best options for their moves at the time of writing.

Note that we’ve opted for the best moves of that type where available, which might not be the optimal damage output moves for that Pokémon overall. Rayquaza, for example, does more damage as a Dragon-type attacker with Dragon-type moves. But it’s also the strongest Flying-type attacker in the game if you equip it with Air Slash and Aerial Ace, as we’ve noted below. So use this table if you’re trying to find a good Pokémon of a certain type, specifically, even though it’s good for getting a general sense of the overall best Pokémon in the game, too.
