Once you reach the required point to unlock the Mystery Gift feature, you simply have to use it. To do that, press Up on the D-Pad to open your Satchel, the same place you manage your Pokemon team and items, including your ability to do some item crafting and manage that limited but upgradeable inventory space.
With the Satchel Open, use the triggers to scroll left and right. Theres four tabs, but the one were after is the one with the WiFi symbol. Here youll have options for Lost & Found, a passive online feature, and Mystery Gifts. Hit the Mystery Gifts button to open the Mystery Gift menu.
Theres three options:
- Get via Internet lets you download any available online Mystery Gifts currently available
- Get with Code/Password lets you redeem gifts with codes you manually enter
- Check Mystery Gifts is a reminder service which will show you any past gifts received/redeemed
All you need to do is select one of the two two options to get gifts. Codes are now rarely distributed, so for most Mystery Gifts youll likely be using the internet option.
How To Use The Mystery Gift Feature In Pokmon Legends: Arceus
The Mystery Gift feature will be unlocked after completing the “A Request from Mai” story mission. The next step is where to find it and how to use it to access it via a special menu.
Trainers will need to hit the Up button on the D-pad to access this menu on the Switch. Then, scroll through the pages available in this menu by using either the ZL or ZR triggers.
Trainers will need to look out for a page with a Wi-Fi signal icon, marking the game’s Communication page. Here, they can find the Mystery Gift feature, which will connect them to The Pokémon Company online.
Select the “Get Via Internet” option browse for any potential Mystery Gifts online. As of writing, there are a few Mystery Gifts available to Trainers at launch.
These gifts are part of a Clothing set centred around the Husuian form of Growlithe. These cosmetics will be available to all Trainers for a limited period between now and 9th May 2022. These Mystery Gifts are as follows:

- Baneful Fox Mask
Additionally, if Trainers pre-ordered the game via Nintendo’s eShop, they would have received 30 Heavy Balls as a pre-order bonus.

How To Get Garchomp Kimono Set
If you want to have Garchomp Kimono Set, youll need to preorder Pokemon Legends: Arceus either from Amazon US for $59.99 or from Amazon JP for ¥6,578.
Amazon US is currently out of stock of the Physical Version of the game as of January 11th, 2022. Furthermore, the digital version from Amazon JP is linked, allowing gamers outside of Japan to purchase it.
Pokmon Legends: Arceus How Do You Unlock And Open Mystery Gifts
You wont be able to start opening Mystery Gifts until youve beaten the fifth mission in the campaign. Depending on how quick you are, and how often you get sidetracked, you should expect to reach and beat that mission after a couple of hours of play.
Once youre told that Mystery Gifts are now available, you can access them by opening your Satchel. If you navigate to the Communications menu, you should find options to unlock Mystery Gifts either via codes or through the internet.
While you will obviously need an internet connection to access the internet gifts, the good news is that you do not need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to unlock those gifts .
You can enter a Mystery Gift code at any time, but you can periodically check the Get via Internet and Check Mystery Gifts options just to see if there is anything new available. Of course, there will usually be some kind of outside notification from Nintendo, Game Freak, and their partners if there is any kind of Mystery Gift promotion active at that time.
