Announced on Pokémon Day, where we got a special Pokémon presentation, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet were announced as the titles for the ninth-generation Pokémon games. As with every new generation, this pair of titles will release simultaneously, presumably having some differences between them that encourage multiplayer, a new roster of collectible monsters, and some tweaks to the gameplay to spice things up. Pokmon Scarlet And Pokmon Violet
Developed by GAME FREAK inc., Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet take a new evolutionary step in the Pokémon main series. Trainers can explore an open world where various towns with no borders blend seamlessly into the wilderness. Pokémon can be seen everywhere in this wide-open worldin the skies, in the sea, and on the streets.
As one of the main characters, Trainers will jump into the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet to begin their adventure, where they will have a different outfit depending on which game they are playing. Trainers will then choose either Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon, Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon, or Quaxly, the Duckling Pokémon to be their first partner Pokémon before setting off on their journey.

New Legendaries In Scarlet & Violet

Both Koraidon and Miraidon appear in the trailer at the end, perched on top of a tall structure. Koraidon appears to be a Dragon/Fighting-type Pokemon with Miraidon being a Dragon/Electric-type, but this isnt confirmed yet.
A pre-evolution for the Legendary duo was revealed during the Pokemon World Championship 2022 closing ceremonies. While Koraidon and Miraidon are mythical beasts, Cyclizar is fairly common and can be found in most households around Paldea.
Chances are, well get to catch Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet and Miraidon in Violet, and will need to trade with someone who owns the other version to obtain both Legendary beasts.
As both Miraidon and Koraidon will also serve as transport in the game, were likely to meet these Pokemon fairly early in our adventure. This means any final climactic battles will be against some new, so far unseen threat also likely to be a Legendary Pokemon.

Guzlord’s Raids will start and end at 10 AM on the first and last day. Raid Hours, meanwhile, will be hosted on November 9 and 16 at 6 PM and 7 PM local time respectively. But what exactly is a Raid?
Raid Battlesoccur when a Boss Pokemon takes over a Gym. Your goal is to defeat this powerful creature alongside other players. If you and your fellow Trainers are successful, youll be rewarded with special items and a chance at catching the “Raid boss”.
Raid Battles arent your typical Gym Battle either your opponent is more difficult to defeat than most normal monsters. Raids also have 4 tiers of difficulty: tier one, tier three, tier five, and Mega Raids. The higher the difficulty, the stronger the Raid Boss and the more players youll need in order to succeed. Note that Guzzlord will be featured at tier five.

Given that Guzzlord is essentially a Mythical monster, capturing it should make for a powerful addition to your party.

As is standard in Pokémon games, a new gimmick is set to be launched for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and this is one that Game Freak has been working towards for years.
We’re talking about the fact that Scarlet and Violet will be fully open world, which is an exciting first for the franchise. Areas are not cut off from each other and you can traverse the landscape from one part of the map to another with fun things to see and do while you are on your way.
Due to this open-world element, in Scarlet and Violet, you’ll be able to tackle the eight traditional gyms in any order that you’d like!

Fans around the web, inspired by the game’s trailer, have latched onto the idea that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet could take place in a region that’s inspired by Spain and/or Portugal, but that hasn’t been confirmed officially as of right now.
As for battles, it seems that they are being kept in line with how they were in Pokémon Legends Arceus, which should be welcome news to those who have played it.

Besides confirming the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release date, the trailer also introduced fans to the two new professors they will be interacting with during their journey. This time around, the Pokemon professors are Professor Sada and Professor Turo. Another NPC players will interact with in the games, Nemona, was also shown during the trailer. She appears to be taking on the role of the rival in the games.
The trailer didn’t just reveal the release date and some of the new characters players will interact with during their Pokemon Scarlet and Violet adventures. It also confirmed that the games will support 4-player co-op. Combined with the fact that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are open world games, they are shaping up to be two of the most ambitious entries in the series to date.
And finally, the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer confirmed three new Pokemon for fans to add to their collection. This includes Electric-type Pokemon Pawmi, Normal-type Pokemon Lechonk, and Grass-type Pokemon Smoliv. Fans can expect more Pokemon reveals and other announcements between now and the games’ release date later this year.

Now onto the setting/ region of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Its called the Paldea Region and it looks to be Mediterranean in style. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available for pre-order now at the Nintendo Store. Both cost $59.99 and will allow players to preload the game closer to its Nov. 18 release date. The Pokémon Company is offering a special Pikachu as a preorder bonus, as well as an Adventure Set for digital purchasers adding potions, heals, and other in-game items as extras.
Theres also the double pack, which includes both versions of the game. Players who buy this will get two codes one per game and 100 Poké Balls for each code. The double pack costs $120.
