All Eevee Evolutions In Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go now features all evolved forms of Eevee: These are all Eevee’s evolution forms:
Eevee requires 25 candies to evolve to one of the first three forms , but out of the box, the resulting evolved form is random among those.
- Get the latest Pokemon Go promo codes.
To remove the randomness, all you need to do is change Eevee’s nickname before evolving her. Using this method, you can evolve Eevee to all eight forms, once per account. Once you use a nickname, you cannot use it a second time, and you will have to resort to the second method.
The second method is not universal among all 8 forms, and it is split into four different approaches to evolve Eevee, one per generation of evolved forms.
Bonus: How To Catch More Eevee In Pokmon To Get More Eevee Evolutions
If youre wondering if its possible to catch more Eevee in Pokémon GO, weve got a convenient solution for you. Unlike other Pokémon, Eevee is available only in limited places. In general, Eevee can be found in over-crowded areas such as the City Center or a college campus. But, if you live on the outskirts of a city, itll become quite challenging to catch Eevee.
In this case, you can use iMyFone AnyTo to catch Eevee. Its a professional location-spoofing tool for iOS and Android users thatll help you change GPS location to another location. It can also work in iOS 15 devices. So, if you want to catch Eevee, you can use iMyFone AnyTo to swap your current GPS location with a densely-populated area like New York.
Once your location is changed, you can even fake your GPS movement using the Multi-spot Mode or Two-spot Mode of iMyFone AnyTo. The reason why using this tool is the best way to catch more Eevee is that you wont have to go out and walk for several miles. You can easily catch all the Eevee without leaving your home at all.

Evolving Into Espeon And Umbreon
For your first time, you can use the nickname trick mentioned above. After that, you need to evolve them using the old-fashioned method, by completing certain goals. For Espeon and Umbreon, you can also evolve them using the in-game method based on the time of the day. To do this, first, reach a certain relationship level with your Eevee. Set them as your Buddy Pokémon and walk as much as you can along with them.
Once you hit 10km with an Eevee as your Buddy, its ready to evolve into one of the above two types. Evolve during the day to get Espeon and during the night to get Umbreon. This method can be reused as many times as you want.

Which Is The Best Eevee Evolution
Alright, you now know the tricks to get the evolution you want, which one should you choose to evolve your Eevee into? Below are the stats of each type to help you decide. Is it about the look, the ability to defend or inflict damage?
The table above shows that Espeon, Glaceon, and Vaporeon have the highest max XP while Espeon and Glaceon have high attacks. Vaporeon has the highest stamina and it is also the evolution most players would point to as being the strongest. It is a solid water-type that rivals a lot of the harder-to-get Pokemon and is only outclassed by Pokemon like Kyogre and Gyarados.
Leafeon and Glaceon are both solid in several scenarios, especially if you dont have a better grass-type or ice-type. They can do a decent amount of damage and take some hits, making them a solid pick for raids and certain team compositions. Umbreon, despite its low attacks, is very good defensively.
Flareon, Jolteon, and Espeon, on the other hand, are all outclassed by a good chunk of Pokemon of their type and dont offer much to mitigate the stat deficits against the likes of Entei, Zapdos, or Mewtwo. Once Sylveon is added to Pokemon Go it might take the crown as the best overall Eeveeloution.
Pokmon Go: Targeted Evolutions Of Eevee
How else can eeveelutions be targeted? For Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon, this is sadly not possible, since the elemental stones arent available in Pokémon GO the three original eeveelutions can only be obtained by simple chance during the evolution of Eevee. However, all other forms can be obtained specifically if you complete a few tasks.

What Do You Name Eevee To Get Umbreon In Pokmon Go
The name trick is a very interesting maneuver you can do to evolve Eevee in Pokémon Go. The name trick in the game will guarantee a certain evolution for your Eevee, but only if you havent used it before namely, this cheat works only once per account and per name. This means that the good thing is that you can use each name once, not just one of them, but you cannot use the trick more than once.
What you need to do is change the name of your Eevee to one of the following names and simply evolve it:
- Vaporeon: Rainer
- Glaceon: Rea
- Sylveon: Kira
As you can see, each eeveelution has its specific name, most of which are based either on the anime or the core video games. The names, of course, have a symbolic meaning and could be deduced even if you didnt know them beforehand. Umbreons name Tamao is a reference to the anime series, in which a character named Tamao appears.
In the anime series, Tamao is one of the Kimono Sisters that appear in the series episode Troubles Brewing. Ash and the crew meet them just after Ash wins the badge in the Ecruteak Gym. The Kimono Sisters are known as eeveelution trainers, as each of the five sisters has one eeveelution with her.
At the time, only five eeveelutions had been introduced, which is why there are only five sisters. The sister who owns Umbreon is named Tamao, and that is why the in-game name Tamao will instantly bring you an Umbreon.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Vaporeon
For the remaining Eeveelutions sadly you’ll need luck on your side.
These can only be gained through the naming trick, in this case calling your Eevee Rainer.
If you’re hoping for a second Vaporeon, you can evolve your Eevee and see what happens.
For Twitch streamer Ccoftw, Vaporeon is his choice of Eeveelution.
He said: “It’s definitely the sleekest of all of them in my opinion.
“I really like water types and I remember it was my first perfect Pokemon in Pokemon Go.
“I have chills just thinking about it, more than five years ago now, where it all began!”

The Original Eevee Evolutions: Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon
Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon are the original Eevee evolutions from the first generation. Sadly, there isnt a sure-fire way of obtaining any of them after youve exhausted the single-use naming trick. You can still get another Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon by evolving Eevee with 25 Candy, but what youll get will all be up to the random generator. Luckily, you wont have a hard time finding or catching an Eevee since its a common Pokémon in the game. Just play frequently, and youll have enough Eevees to evolve into any of the three original Eevee evolutions. However, if youre having a hard time getting a particular one, you can always try trading with other players.

The Story Behind The Naming Trick
Long story short, Rainer, Sparky, and Pyro are actually the names of the Eevee brothers that appear in the Pokemon anime. Each of them has a unique Eevee of his own, and its after the brothers that the Eevee take their names. Sakura, another Pokemon Trainer, gets an Espeon later in the series, thus that nickname, and Tamao, one of the five Kimono sisters, owns an Umbreon.
For Glaceon and Leafeon, the names Linnea and Rea are taken from NPCs in the game Pokemon Sun & Moon.
How To Evolve Into Espeon And Umbreon
The first time you want to get your hands on Espeon and Umbreon, you can use the name trick detailed above. Evolve an Eeevee called Tamao to get an Umbreon, or an Eevee named Sakura to evolve it into Espeon. After that, you’ll need to evolve them the old-fashioned way, by completing certain goals.
For Espeon and Umbreon, you can also evolve into them based on their in-game method of evolution in Pokemon Gold and Silver back on the Game Boy – based on the time of day. In order to do this, you’ll first need to build a relationship with your Eevee. Set them as your buddy Pokemon and walk with them as much as you can.
Once you’ve walked 10km with that Eevee as your buddy Pokemon, it’s ready to evolve into either Epseon or Umbreon. Just evolve in the day for Espeon and night for Umbreon – and this isn’t limited, you can do it as often as you like!

Evolving Eevee: All Names For The Name Trick 2022
Heres the easiest method to get just the eeveelution youre looking for: the name trick. It works like this: Give the Eevee you want to evolve a specific nickname. After that, the outline of the monster you want should appear on the evolve button when viewing that Eevee. Tap the button and youll have the eeveelution you desired.
But beware: this trick only works once for each evolution, so think carefully about whether you want to use it. It is advisable, for example, to save the name trick for the targeted evolution of a rare Shiny variant.

How To Evolve Eevee Leafeon And Glaceon
Finally Eevee evolutions got even more confusing in Pokémon GO with the addition of Gen 4s Leafeon and Glaceon. This time youll need an item, or someone around you will need to use one that you can access. To evolve Eevee into Leafeon you need to be within range of a Poké Stop that has an active Mossy Lure on it. You can see this on the map with flying leaves surrounding it. Glaceon requires the Stop to instead have a Glacial Lure on it, which will display with swirling ice. Most players have gotten these for free from various events, but they can also be purchased from the shop for 200 Poké Coins a piece. Once you have one just use it on a Stop and evolve an Eevee while standing nearby.
And thats all Eevee evolutions and how to them them all in Pokémon GO. Sylveon may be added later, so check back for more when Gen 6 hits and after.

Evolving Your Eevee To Your Preferred Type In Pokmon Go
Evolving an Eevee in the normal way of using 25 Candy does nothing but evolve into any one of the different types at random. To force-evolve your Eevee into one of your choice, you have to rename your Eevee to a special nickname.
This entire little cheat was developed as part of an Easter Egg as a homage to a classic set of Eevee evolutions in the Pokémon anime. Here is a list of the particular nicknames and the Eevee evolutions they relate to:
A very important thing to note about this enjoyable cheat: it works only once per Eevee evolution. This means that once you have renamed an Eevee to Rea to get Glaceonor any of the other nicknames to get a particular Eeveelution, you have to evolve them the normal way the next time. Thats why you should ensure that your CP and IV values are reasonable and perfect for you before evolving an Eevee, and evolve the type which would be most beneficial to you. Think carefully before you act on this method, as you have only one shot at this.
How To Get All Of The Eevee Evolutions In Pokmon Go
Eevee is known as the Evolution Pokémon for good reason: its the only Pokémon thus far that can evolve into different forms eight to be exact. The good news is that with the addition of Sylveon in May 2021, you can now acquire all eight Eevee evolutions in Pokémon GO. However, unlike the average Pokémon that goes through evolution stages, evolving Eevee into a specific form requires more than just a tap of the Evolve button. In this guide, were showing you all the tricks you can use to add all of these Eevee evolutions to your Pokédex.

What Is The Best Eeveelution In Pokemon Go
When strictly considering CP, the strongest Eeveelution in Pokemon GO is Espeon. Espeon has the highest CP ceiling of any Eeveelution, and is capable of hitting 3,170 when the trainer hits level 40. Though Espeon is strong, it doesnt quite run away with the category.
Here are the different Eeveelutions and their maximum CP at level 40:
Almost every Eeveelution hits a high enough CP to be useful. But unfortunately for Espeon, there is no shortage of strong psychic types to choose from. While Espeon is among the strongest, there is an abundance of legendary and mythical psychic-types as well as non-legendaries like Alakazam, Exeggutor, and Metagross that are comparable to or better than Espeon.
No thoughts just precious Sylveon.
Pokémon May 8, 2021
Possibly the most useful Eeveelution in Pokemon GO is Sylveon. While there are loads of strong psychic types, there is an extremely limited selection of fairy Pokemon in Pokemon GO. While the sixth generation legendary Xerneas is the strongest fairy type in Pokemon GO, Sylveon is functionally in a four-way tie for second place alongside Gardevoir, Florges, and Togekiss.
Past Sylveon, most of the other Eeveelutions fall into the same category of Espeon where they are good but have a great deal of competition from other Pokemon. This is especially the case with Flareon, Vaporeon, and Leafeon who are roughly as strong as the various fire, water, and grass starters.
