Reddit Reacts To Latest Pokemon Go Lag Issue

On October 4, user Jaggedbrace in the Silph Road subreddit posted a thread asking the community if any other players have noticed a lag issue with the appraisal feature in Pokemon GO. Shortly after, others began to comment on the thread stating that they were experiencing a similar problem.

Later in the thread, u/nealappeal indicated that they refreshed all their data for the game and also downloaded all the assets. In the same section, u/Jaggedbrace commented that they noticed this issue becoming prevalent after they updated the character portraits for each of the Team Leaders.

With this in mind, many have concluded that this issue with the appraisal lag is rooted in the new artwork displayed for the player’s Team Leader in Pokemon GO. Given the recent update to the assets for the three Team Leaders, it is possible that there is an issue with the code where the game is still looking for the old artwork.

Later, u/51stCrash commented that the issue is rooted in the catch location of the Pokemon the trainer is trying to have appraised. For some reason, the game is having issues with pulling up information regarding where each creature has been captured, which has ultimately resulted in a slowdown when appraising.

Using the information reported, we can begin to compile details regarding Pokemon GO’s appraisal issue.

While it is unclear what the exact root of the issue is with this glitch, players can only have faith that Niantic will promptly address this issue.

Join A Team And Battle

At a certain point in the game, you’ll be asked to join one of three teams. Once you join a team, you’ll gainthe ability to assign your Pokémon to open Gym locations or to a Gym where ateammate has already assigned a Pokémon. Each player can place only one Pokémonper Gym, so you’ll need to work together with other members of your team tobuild up a strong defense. Like PokéStops, Gyms can be found at real-worldlocations.

If a rival team has claimed a Gym,you can challenge it by using your Pokémon to battle the Pokémon defending theGym. You choose which of your Pokémon will join in the battle. Each Pokémon hastwo kinds of attacks, and can also dodge the defending Pokémon’s attacks if youswipe left or right. If your Pokémon win the battle, the motivation of thedefending Pokémon is reduced. When the motivation of each defending Pokémondrops to zero, the defending team loses control of the Gym, and you or anotherplayer can then take control of it by assigning a Pokémon to defend it.

Professor Willows Visual Update

New

At the conclusion of 2022s Pokemon GO Fest, Professor Willow once again returned to phones around the world. During the events opening week in June, Willow mysteriously disappeared into an ultra-wormhole and was replaced by Rhi, a member of the GO Ultra Recon Squad from another dimension. Players were given research tasks to help find Professor Willow. Finally, after months of searching for clues to the professors location, Willow emerged safe, sound, and with a defined new look.

Some fans have theorized that the original Willow was replaced during his hiatus, but in reality, he just got a makeover from Niantics graphics department. It seems that the time away has done wonders for Professor Willow, as his new look has dazzled fans. With better-defined features, a new outfit, and more realistic hair, Willows appearance is a sign of what could be in store for Pokemon GO player customization.

This years Pokémon GO Fest is a celebration of gratitude and community. We kicked things off with a two-day global event, bringing the festivities to Trainers all over the world.

  • Trainers spun over 750 million PokéStops.

  • Trainers collectively explored over 100 million kilometers.

On the first day of this years Pokémon GO Fest, Trainers worked with Professor Willow to determine the best way to find the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin. That hard work paid off, and Trainers were able to encounter Shaymin in its Land Formemarking the first time Trainers were able to encounter and catch it in Pokémon GO!

As the second day of Pokémon GO Fest began, Ultra Wormholes formed in the sky and the formidable Ultra Beast Nihilego appeared in five-star raids! To make matters worse, Professor Willow went missing! In all the commotion, Trainers met the mysterious GO Ultra Recon Squad member Rhi, and, working together, they managed to catch Nihilego and bring the celebration back under control.

Thank you, Trainers, for making this two-day global event so spectacular! We were so grateful to see Trainers celebrating around the world, whether at home or out with friends. Were excited to keep celebrating with you at our in-person events this summer!

Mega Levels List And New Mega Evolution Bonuses In Pokmon Go

7 Updates Niantic Will NEVER Add to Pokémon GO

Introduced in the April 2022 update, Mega Evolutions now have levels. To increase your Mega Level, you must Mega Evolve that Pokémon, and after a certain number of evolutions, you will reach the next level.

Each level has a number of bonuses. The evolution requirement and bonuses are as follows:

Level
Enhanced Catch XP bonusMassively reduced Mega Energy cost

Note on the above – the Catch XP, Catch Candy and Candy XL bonuses only apply to Pokémon of the same type as the Mega Evolution. Though this initially seems restrictive, it is particularly useful for Community Day and Spotlight Hour events where you might want to maximise the amount of Candy or XP you’d like to earn from catching one particular Pokémon.
