How Do You Get Max Soup

Getting Max Soup is pretty simple. Much like how Mario increases in size by eating mushrooms, youll also need a special shroom that only grows in certain areas in the Isle of Armor to make your Max Soup. These are called Max Mushrooms. They can be commonly found in the Courageous Cavern, Brawlers Cave, Forest of Focus, and the Warm-up Tunnel. Keep in mind, Max Mushrooms only spawn in these areas after youve completed three Max Raid Battles.

To make Max Soup, youll need to gather three Max Mushrooms. Once you have the required materials, speak to the Dojo Member located in the kitchen area of the Master Dojo. Hell make as much Max Soup you need as long as you have the ingredients.

Once you have your Max Soup, just give it to your Pokémon with the potential to Gigantamax and youre done. You can now Gigantamax your Pokémon in your battles.

In Pokemon Go, the only way to get a Melmetal is by collecting 400 Meltan candies. This is how players are able to collect their own Melmetal. In Pokemon Sword & Shield, the Gigantamax mechanic was developed, allowing certain Pokemon to transform into a giant version of themselves and some with some new forms. How To Get Gigantamax Pikachu

If you want to get your hands on a Gigantamax Pikachu, then youre going to have to jump through a couple of hoops. Unlike some of the other Gigantamax Pokemon in Sword and Shield, the Pikachus you catch natively wont be capable of using the Gigantamax technology. Instead, youre going to need to have played Pokemon: Lets Go Pikachu! and youll need to talk to a special person in the Wild Area just outside of your hometown.

Now, to get the Gigantamax Pikachu, youre going to have to have a Pokemon: Lets Go Pikachu save file on your Nintendo Switch. If you already have the save file, simply play through Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield until you reach the Wild Area outside of your town. This is one of the first places you explore at the start of your journey, and you can find the person you want to speak to in the Meet Up Spot, which also happens to be right where you get off the train in the Wild Area.

Speak to the man in the corner and youll be rewarded with a special Pikachu that is capable of using the Gigantamax technology. Of course, youll still need to go through the due process to make that happen, but at least its something that will be possible with this particular Pikachu in your party.

How To Gigantamax Your Pokmon In Pokmon Sword And Shield

Looking for a way to step up in your Pokémon battles? Feel like your Pokémons regular moves arent doing enough damage? Well, good thing you came here. In this guide, well show you how you can Gigantamax your Pokémon in Sword and Shield.

    Gaming

The new series of Pokémon games introduced a lot of new features. One of these new features is Gigantamaxing. This is a new feature that gives Pokémon a totally new form apart from their standard evolutions.

    Which Pokmon Can Gigantamax

How To Get Gigantamax Eevee in Pokemon Sword and Shield

Gigantamax is a very special ability. Only certain Pokémon who possess the Gigantamax Factor can Gigantamax. Sometimes in Max Raids, youll encounter wild Pokémon who already possess the ability to Gigantamax. Youll see a symbol next to their name on the summary screen that will tell you if a Pokémon can Gigantamax.

Here is the complete list of every Pokémon that has a Gigantamax form:

    • Charizard
    • Lapras
    • Garbodor

Any other Pokémon not mentioned in this list, can only Dynamax and has no capability to Gigantamax. So lets say youve acquired a Pokémon who can Gigantamax, can you just activate it in battle like Dynamaxing? Well, yes but its a little more complicated than that. If your Pokémon can Gigantamax but doesnt have the Gigantamax Factor yet, you need to feed them a special item called Max Soup.

    Whats A Dynamax Pokmon

All Pokémon are able to Dynamax in specific areas, like most Sword and Shield gyms and in Max Raid Battles in the Wild Area. During Gym Battles, you can Dynamax your Pokémon for three turns at any time. In Max Raid Battles, youll trade turns with other players but either way, the power-up will last three turns.

The big difference between your regular Pokémon and Dynamax Pokémon is size and stats. When Dynamaxed, Pokémon are huge and have new moves called Max Moves. Stats are increased, too.

How Is It Different From Dynamax

While Dynamax will only increase your Pokémons size, Gigantamax will drastically change your Pokémons appearance. It almost feels like a new evolution. If you Dynamax your Pokémon, theyll get new versions of their moves called Max Moves. While, if you Gigantamax your Pokémon, theyll get better and stronger moves called G-Max Moves. These are very powerful moves that are exclusive to specific species of Gigantamax Pokémon. Another key difference is that not all Pokémon can Gigantamax.

Breed Pokemon Then Do This To Gigantamax In Sword And Shield

Logically speaking Pokemon Sword and Shield players should be able to breed Gigantamax Pokemon, but thats not actually the case. There is still a way to bestow Gigantamax powers to an applicable Pokemon, though.

Anyone that has touched ranked Pokemon battling has spent dozens of hours breeding Pokemon to have the best IVs, nature, moves, and ability. From there, players need to train them to get the perfect EVs. The final step in Pokemon Sword and Shield is getting certain Pokemon to Gigantamax.

The trouble with that is that unless a player happens to catch the absolute perfect Gigantamax Pokemon from a Max Raid battle, theyre not going to have an optimal Pokemon. So if players cant breed a Gigantamax Pokemon, how can they get a perfect one for battle? Heres how.

Pokmon Sword & Shield: Dynamax Vs Gigantamax Differences

HOW TO GET ANY GIGANTAMAX POKEMON REALLY FAST! | Pokemon Sword And Shield Tutorial

Pokémon Sword and Shield introduced Dynamax and Gigantamax battle mechanics, but not every Pokémon species has the ability to Gigantamax.

Like many recent installments in the series, Pokémon Sword and Shield introduced special battle mechanics unique to the Galar region. Similar to Mega Evolution introduced in Pokémon X and Y and the quirky Z-Moves of Sun and Moon, Dynamax and Gigantamax mechanics allow players to super-size their Pokémon companion in battle and deal devastating damage to opponents. However, the two types of form changes aren’t the same, with all Pokémon capable of Dynamaxing, and only a select few possessing the ability to Gigantamax.

To use Dynamax or Gigantamax boost abilities in Pokémon Sword and Shield, players must be over a special location called a Power Spot. These areas, which possess the large amount of the Galar Particles needed for Dyamanx and Gigantamax, are found in locations like Pokémon Gyms and Max Dens. Because of this, players can’t use the ability in any battle around the Galar map, including both wild Pokémon encounters and trainer challenges. This is a big change from Mega Evolution and Z-Moves, which while restricted by required items, could be used once per battle regardless of location.

How Do I Get A Gigantamax Pokmon

Unfortunately, its not as easy as just catching one of the listed Pokémon not all Pokémon of a certain species can Gigantamax. Unless you got your Pokémon through a gift or an event, like Eevee, Pikachu, or Meowth, youve got to catch them in Max Raid Battles. To put it simply: the Pokémon you caught randomly in the Galar region wont Gigantamax.

Theyre rare, but developer Game Freak does have some events planned to make certain Pokémon less rare for a time. Until early January, for instance, players have a slightly higher chance of encountering Gigantamax Butterfree in Max Raid Battles across the games Wild Area. Gigantamax battles will change over time, Game Freak said, meaning your chances of catching them will, too.

Players who have the Isle of Armor expansion can feed Max Soup to any Pokémon with Gigantamax potential to give them the ability to Gigantamax.

How To Change Dynamax Pokemon To Gigantamax

You will need to feed your Pokemon a hearty meal of Max Soup to change a Dynamax Pokemon to Gigantamax when the Isle of Armor expansion drops.

Thats the current assumption, anyway. Since there was only a glimpse of the Max Soup in the most recent Isle of Armor trailer, its still unknown how well get our hands on the item or the ingredients needed to create it.

With curry recipes the closest thing to a potential Max Soup meal you need to mix key ingredients with berries to make the best and most effective dish. Its likely that putting the soup together will require the same type of process, though we dont know just yet what ingredients will go into the pot. Thats something that should be revealed when the DLC debuts.

    Pokmon Sword/shield: How To Gigantamax

The release of Pokémon Sword and Shield introduced two new mechanics to the world of Pokémon called Dynamax and Gigantamax. Dynamax is a phenomenon wherein a Pokémon increases in size and stats becoming more powerful. A Dynamaxed Pokémons moves will become Max Moves which are stronger than normal attacks and have guaranteed effects. Gigantamax, on the other hand, is also a phenomenon wherein a Pokémon increases in size and stats but the Pokémon will also have a change in appearance. Gigantamaxed Pokémon, aside from having Max Moves, will also gain access to a G-Max Move which is particular to a specific species of Pokémon. Gigantamax and Dynamax both last for three turns.

How To Find Gigantamax Pokmon In The Wild Area In Pokmon Sword And Shield

TOP 10 BEST GIGANTAMAX POKEMON FORM

Pokémon with the Gigantamax factor are incredibly rare and can only be found in five-star Max Raids, which occur in the Wild Area.

Five-star Max Raids will only start appearing once you earn the Dragon Badge, the eighth and last gym badge in Pokémon Sword and Shield. These raids are usually marked by having a pillar of swirling, dark purple, energy emerging from the Pokémon Den, though can appear in Dens with light red pillars too.

After you’ve defeated all the Galar gym leaders – it’s time to go Gigantamax hunting!

Be prepared for this to be a long hunt, because, without boosted spawn rates, there is only a 5% chance of a Gigantamax Pokémon making an appearance.

You can increase your chances of encountering a Gigantamax Pokémon by using a Wishing Piece on a Pokémon Den. This will attract with a Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon to that Pokémon Den.

Just remember – while you can use as many Wishing Pieces as you like each day, if you use a piece on a Pokémon Den that already has a Pokémon in it, this will force that current Pokémon out. If you want to fight that Pokémon, make sure you do it before using a Wishing Piece.

It’s also a good idea to defeat all the Pokémon in every Den each day. If you do this, the Dens will reset and your chance of encountering a rare Pokémon will increase.
