How To Catch Meltan
The key to finding Meltan is the Mystery Box, which you’ll automatically receive after you’ve either transferred a Pokemon from Go to Pokemon Home, or you’ve transferred a Gen 1 Pokemon from the mobile game to either of the Let’s Go titles. After you’ve received a Mystery Box in Pokemon Go, find it in your inventory and open it to make Meltan spawn in the wild for the next 60 minutes. Once you spot a Meltan on the world map, tap it and you can catch it just as you would any other wild Pokemon in Go. During this event, you’ll also have a chance of encountering a Shiny Meltan when you open the Mystery Box however, whether one appears will be down entirely to luck, so you’ll need to be persistent if you’re hoping to catch one.
After the 60 minutes have elapsed, the Mystery Box will close, and you’ll need to wait three days before you can open it again and capture more Meltan.
Catch Every Meltan That Pops Out
Of course, the ultimate goal of opening the Mystery Box is to nab all the Meltan that emerge from it, and over the course of that half an hour youll get quite a few of the little beasties. Catch them, and tuck them away in your Pokemon Go box. From here you can trade them to fellow Pokemon Go players, or try to evolve it.

Can I Catch More Than One Meltan

How Do You Get Rare Candy

How To Evolve Meltan
Even if you’ve already caught the Hex Nut Pokemon, the Pokemon Home event is a good opportunity to stock up on more, as you can transfer any excess ones to Professor Willow in exchange for Meltan Candy. You’ll need a whopping 400 of those Candies to evolve Meltan into Melmetal, but you can expedite the process in a few ways. Rare Candies will work toward powering up any Pokemon, even Meltan, and feeding Pinap Berries to a Meltan during the catching phase will increase the amount of Candy you receive if you successfully capture it.
If you evolve a Shiny Meltan, it’ll retain its Shiny coloration as Melmetal. This version of the Pokemon sports a slightly darker head and a blue tail rather than a red one. You’ll also be able to transfer any Meltan or Melmetal you’ve obtained in Pokemon Go over to Let’s Go or Pokemon Sword and Shield , where you can add them to your party or show them off in online battles. Obtaining The Shiny Meltan In Pokmon Go
This Shiny Meltan special event only runs for a limited time. It began on November 17 at 8:00 AM local time, and it will end on November 23 at 10:00 PM local time. Players still wanting to do this need to move quickly.
First, players must link their Pokémon GO and Pokémon HOME accounts together. Pokémon HOME is available on Android and iOS devices like Pokémon GO, and it is also available on Nintendo Switch. Once the accounts have been linked, players need to transfer a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME. It is recommended to transfer a Pokémon with low CP, as it takes less Transporter Energy. If it ends up in Pokémon HOME, that means the accounts are properly linked.
Transferring a Pokémon in this manner also nets the player a Mystery Box in Pokémon GO. The Mystery Box can be accessed in Items. The player will want to set aside some time for this, because upon opening the box, Meltans are lured to the player for an hour, appearing once every minute and a half or so. They need to be caught quickly, as the Meltans will disappear after about a minute. As the player continues to encounter them, hopefully, one will end up being a Shiny Meltan. If an hour goes by, and players are unlucky in finding a Shiny Meltan, they can try again the next day. Also, note that Incense does not work with the Mystery Box.

A recent trailer finally described exactly how to get a Meltan in Pokemon Lets GO. A Mystery Box is required, a new item that is received when sending Pokemon GO pokémon to Lets GO. Once you have Mystery Box 8 , you can open it to make Meltan appear. Do not forget, however, that the box will be closed after a short period of time and will not open again for a certain period of time. Once the time has passed, you only need to send another Pokémon to open it again. You will receive a Mystery Box the first time you send a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Lets GO, whether for yourself or a friend. You can send Meltan to Lets GO once youve captured it in Pokémon GO.
How To Get Pokmon Go Shinies
Players have a roughly one in 400 chance to encounter a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO, which is really good odds in comparison to the main series games. However, there are opportunities to get even better odds that occur regularly.

Were not sure if the raid bosses will have boosted shiny odds just yet, but were keeping our fingers crossed so we can fill out our shiny dex with some more off-colour legendaries.
Some Special Research also offers guaranteed shinies as a reward. The All-in-one 151 Special Research guarantees a shiny Mew as a reward, for instance, and the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto Special Research rewarded players with a shiny Ditto. How To Transfer Pokmon To Pokmon Home
4. Once done, you should then be returned to the Pokémon HOME settings screen in Pokémon GO where the SIGN IN button has been replaced by a SEND POKÉMON button.
5. Tap this and youll see a message about using the GO Transporter to send Pokémon, and that the amount of energy required depends upon the Pokémon.
The energy bar is full, so theres nothing to worry about for now.
6. Just choose a Pokémon to send, bearing in mind its a one-way transfer. So pick something you would transfer to the professor, not something youd want to keep.
NOTE : Pokémon transferred to Pokémon HOME cannot be returned to Pokémon GO.
7.You can select multiple Pokémon, but one is enough to get a Mystery Box. Tap the TRANSPORT button and when the transfer is finished youll be told the Mystery Box is available.
8. Tap OK and youll see a message telling you that you need to open the Pokémon HOME app to finish moving the Pokémon and you wont be able to send any more until you complete this step.
9. Tap DONE and, if necessary, close the Settings screen. Tap the Pokéball at the bottom of Pokémon GOs main screen and tap ITEMS. Tap on Mystery Box in the list and when you have 30 minutes spare tap Open.
A series of Meltan will appear for you to catch. And if youre doing this during the special event to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Pokémon GO, you might even get a Shiny Meltan which can be evolved to Shiny Melmetal.

Hopefully players have saved up enough candies to evolve a Magnemite before this. As for catching Exeggcute, this should happen as players walk around because the creature isnt all that uncommon.
