Defeat Team Go Rocket Leaders

How to Power Up and Evolve Pokemon in Pokémon GO – Stardust & Pokemon Candy

Like Team Go Rocket Grunts, Team Go Rocket Leaders offer 1,000 stardust when they lose a battle. You need to reach level eight to participate in a Team Go Rocket Leader battle. The leaders include Cliff, Arlo, and Sierra. These leaders can appear at black PokeStops or in Team Go Rocket hot air balloons, so interact with either of these objects to start a battle.

How To Make Friends And Trade Pokmon

New to Pokémon Go is the ability to trade Pokémon with friends a feature players have been clamoring for. Trading is a complicated system, though, and requires you to put in a lot of effort to make it work.

First, theres a new Friend tab on your Trainer menu, which allows you to add friends using a Friend Code. You can add friends regardless of physical proximity if you have the code, and you can interact with them in some ways even if theyre not around to play with. Your capabilities with friends is determined by your Friendship Level the higher the level, the better, specifically for trading Pokémon.

You can only trade Pokémon with people youve added to your friend list, and they have to be physically close to you in order for the trade to happen. Trades will also cost you Stardust, but making trades earns you candies for the Pokémon type you trade. Common Pokémon you already have in your Pokédex are relatively cheap and easy to trade, but Legendary Pokémon and Pokémon you dont have in your Pokédex already require Special trades, and you can only execute one of those per day.

How To Get Stardust: Catching Pokmon

Everyone will earn 100 Stardust for each Pokémon that you catch. 100 Stardust may not sound like much, but it tends to accumulate over time. If you catch a first-stage evolution Pokémon, you will get 300 Stardust. If it is a second-stage evolution, its going to be 500.

For weather-boosted Pokémon, you will gain an extra 25, 75, or 125 Stardust respectively. By catching a Pokémon every day for a week, you can get up to 3000 Stardust. You can do this strategy every week.

There are also some Pokémon that yield a higher amount of Stardust when you capture them. This includes Paras, Parasect, Meowth, Persian, Shellder, Cloyster, Staryu, Starmie, and many others.

If you play Pokémon Go every day, you will earn an extra 1800 Stardust for your first capture of the day and a large bonus of 9000 for capturing a Pokémon seven days in a row. This incentivizes people to keep playing the game consistently.

Check your Pokémons CP

A Pokémons strength is measured by its CP, and Pokémon with higher CP will usually outmatch a Pokémon with lower CP . That said, you can always evolve or power up a Pokémon with candies and Stardust to increase its CP. However, even if your Pokémon are weaker than the enemys, that doesnt necessarily mean youll lose.

Know your types

Pokémon have weaknesses and resistances based on their elemental types, such as water, grass, fire, and so on. Pay attention to the types of Pokémon youre going up against and the attacks your Pokémon know. Each Pokémon knows two attacks a basic attack and a special attack. Peck is a flying-type attack, for example, while water gun is a water-based attack. If youre going up against fire, take a Pokémon with water attacks, because theyll do more damage. Here are a few other examples: Water is susceptible to electric, grass is susceptible to fire, and so on. There are several elemental types in the game, and each has its own weaknesses. Check out the handy chart below to maximize your Pokémons effectiveness in battle.

Attacks and special attacks vary

Two Pokémon of the same species will not always know the exact same attacks. You may have a Pidgey with peck and another with tackle. Keep that in mind when building your team. Refer to our section on evolving and powering up Pokémon for information on how to get Pokémon with effective and powerful movesets.

Niantic has made sure that players have plenty of opportunities to earn Stardust in Pokemon GO. Some of the best ways to earn Stardust can be found below:

GO Battle League

With an active Premium Battle Pass, players can get additional stardust by winning the third battle of the round. In addition, completing all daily battles also rewards Stardust. While these rewards are based on your PvP rank in a particular Battle League season, they still matter. The amount of stardust that is earned really depends on the dedication. The more a player fights, the more stardust they can take home.

gifts

  • Gifts players receive from other Trainers on their Pokemon GO Friends List can contain 100-300 stardust when opened.

Raiding and Team GO Rocket

Pokemon Go: Earning And Spending Candy Plus Pokemon Transfers

Pokemon GO – How To Get 100k Stardust & Candy FAST & Why They Are Important

As detailed earlier, candy is used to evolve and power up Pokemon and is additionally a species-specific resource – a Pidgey candy is different to a Squirtle candy or a Zubat candy, and so it’s fairly difficult to save up the necessary amounts.

Thanks to its species-specific trappings, obtaining candy is all about individual Pokemon. You’ll obtain some candy for its species when you catch a Pokemon, and likewise for hatching – though hatched Pokemon will always offer up more candy than those caught in the wild.

Candy can also be obtained by transferring unwanted Pokemon back to the professor by clicking on them, scrolling down and hitting transfer. This only offers up one candy per Pokemon, but it’s better than a useless Pokemon clogging up your menus. Just be careful not to transfer anything useful or wanted!

Candy is spent on powering up and evolving Pokemon. Compared to stardust powering up is cheap, costing only one candy per power boost. Evolving is more expensive with the cost varying depending on the breed of Pokemon, but expect to pay as much as 15, 25, 50 or even more candy to evolve a Pokemon into its next powerful form.

The amount of Stardust you earn depends on the strategy youre using. Catching Pokémon can get you 100 Stardust for basic, 300 for first-stage evolutions, and 500 for second-stage evolutions. You can get an extra 25% of this amount with the weather boost.

Defeating Team Rocket grunts gives you 500 Stardust while Team Rocket leaders earn you 1,000. Beating Giovanni will give you 5,000 Stardust. Raid battles give you 1,000 Stardust consistently. For less aggressive trainers, research breakthroughs reward you with 2,000 Stardust each time.

How To Win Gym Battles And Join Teams

Unlike the classic game series, battles in Pokémon Go are relegated to team-versus-team battles over the control of gyms, which are like big Pokéstops located at specific locations in the world. Your Pokémons efficacy in battle relies on both careful planning and quick reflexes. Use this guide to make the most of your Pokémons combat abilities and come out victorious.

Can You Get Stardust In Pokmon Go From Eggs

Yup. You still get large amounts of Stardust from hatching Pokémon Eggs. The amount of Stardust varies by the type of Egg but also randomly at the time you hatch it.

    • 400-800 Stardust from a 2 KM Egg.
    • 800-1600 Stardust from a 5 KM Egg.
    • 1600-3200 Stardust from a 10 KM Egg.

The lower levels are more typical than the higher levels, sadly, but if you invest in Incubators and walk a lot, you’ll grow your Stardust steadily.

    Earn Rewards With Adventure Sync

    Pokemon Go Evolution Guide

You unlock the Adventure Sync feature when your account reaches level five. You can activate Adventure Sync in the Settings menu. This feature tracks your distance traveled while the Pokemon Go application is closed. You earn stardust depending on how far you walk each week.

The exact stardust rewards include 500 stardust for 25km, 1,000 stardust for 50km, and 16,000 stardust if you walk 100km per week.

What Is Stardust In Pokemon Go And Why Do You Want It

Stardust is necessary for getting the strongest Pokemon. When you’re powering up your Pokémon, you will need species specific Candy, but you also need a lot of Stardust. You also need Stardust to buy secondary Charge Moves for the Pokémon Go Battle League, Raids, Team GO Rocket battles, and Gyms. The cost grows quickly based on rarity, ranging from 10K for common Pokemon to 100K for Legendary.

You also need Stardust for making trades. Regular trades can cost 100 or less Stardust, depending on your Friendship level. However, trades for new Pokédex entries start at 20,000 Stardust, and Shiny or Legendary trades start at 1,000,000 Stardust! The better friends you are with the other trainer, the lower the cost, but even as Best Friends, it adds up fast.

Now that Team Go Rocket has shown up, you’ll also need Stardust for every Shadow Pokemon you want to purify. Some only cost 1,000 Stardust to purify, while others can cost 3,000 or even 5,000 Stardust, and that’s just the normal Pokémon. If you happen to rescue one of the Legendary Shadow Pokémon from Giovanni, it’s going to cost you 20,000 Stardust to purify! While some players prioritize only the strongest Shadow Pokemon for purification, if you want to earn that medal, it’s ultimately going to cost a lot of Stardust.

In other words, no Stardust, no powering up, no trading, no purifying.

Should I Evolve Higher Cp Or Iv

IV corresponds to max CP. So if you evolve the eevee with higher CP then it will also have higher CP post evolution, but its maximum CP will be lower. If you plan on pumping lots of stardust/candies into this pokemon then you should choose the higher IV with the higher max.

How To Use Pokstops And Items

Pokéstops are helpful in that they award you with plenty of items , things to do , gifts for your friends, and experience points that will aid you on your adventure. They appear in the game as small blue beacons that animate as you get close to them, usually at important real-world locations and landmarks. Youll want to hit up plenty of them to keep your reserves well-stocked and ready for whatever Pokémon you encounter.

Accessing Pokéstops is usually a quick and simple activity just tap on the stop once youre nearby, spin the picture, and collect your items. However, there are some small ways you can maximize your Pokéstop use.

First, instead of tapping on each item spawned by the Pokéstop, just spin the picture and close it. The items will automatically be added to your inventory. This is especially handy if youre commuting and quickly passing multiple stops or if you need to move quickly to find a Pokémon. You can also tell when a Pokéstop is about to become accessible again based on its color: Pokéstops are sky blue when theyre ready to spin and turn purple after theyve been accessed. Theyll slowly then turn back from purple to blue when theyre ready again, about five minutes later. If you get to know the colors, youll be able to tell when one is about to refresh so you can spin it again for maximum efficiency.

How To Level Up From 40 To 50

Levels 41-50 are a bit trickier than 1-40 because players must complete tasks in addition to a mountain of XP per level. Below is a breakdown of each level and what trainers will have to do in order to level up.

    • Catch 200 Pokémon in a single day
    • Earn 5 gold medals

Tips: The hardest task here is the 200 Pokémon caught in a single day. Not only do you need over 200 Pokéballs to be able to catch said Pokémon, but the number itself is quite large for one day. Make use of one of the monthly Community Days and go to an area where a lot of Pokémon are spawning, and as long as you have the Pokéballs for it, catching 200 in one day shouldnt be that much of an issue. Make sure you have your incense ready to go before Community Day starts to attract even more Pokémon.

    Level 42

    • Evolve Eevee into each of its unique evolutions
    • Use items to evolve Pokémon 15 times
    • Make 3 excellent throws
    • Use 200 berries to help catch Pokémon

Tips: Nothing too crazy here. This one might take you a bit of time since evolving Eevees usually involves walking around with them as your buddy. Heres a handy guide on how to get each Eeveelution.

    Level 43

    • Use 200 super effective Charged Attacks
    • Catch 5 Legendary Pokémon
    • Earn 5 Platinum medals

    Level 44

    • Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Great League
    • Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Ultra League
    • Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Master League
