The Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME supports connectivity with the Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu!, and Pokémon: Lets Go, Eevee!

Both the Nintendo Switch version and mobile device version of Pokémon HOME support connectivity with the Nintendo 3DS software Pokémon Bank.

This depends on which game the Pokémon came from and where its been!

If the Pokémon came from:

  • Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield:
  • These can be moved from Pokémon HOME to either Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield.
  • Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu!, or Pokémon: Lets Go, Eevee!:
  • Pokémon that can be registered in the Pokedex in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield can be moved from Pokémon HOME to those games.
  • With one exception , Pokémon from the Pokémon: Lets Go games can be moved from Pokémon HOME back to either of the Pokémon: Lets Go games.
  • EXCEPTION: Please note that once a Pokémon has been moved to Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, it cannot be transferred back to the Pokémon: Lets Go titles from Pokémon HOME even if thats where the Pokémon came from originally.

  • What Is Pokemon Home

Pokemon Home is the new cloud-based service being produced to transfer and store your Pokemon in the latest games.

The app will be available on smartphones and Nintendo Switch devices.

To explain it simply, using a Pokemon pun, its the evolved form of Pokemon Bank.

Pokemon Bank is simply a place to store your Pokemon and works with a large majority of past Pokemon games.

Pokémon Home will also allow you to trade with both your friends and anyone else around the world when using it on a mobile device.

There is a notion that the ability to trade with multiple people at the same time might be included.

Players can also view Rankings, Distribution Regulations, and an events calendar, replacing the Pokémon Global Link.

    How Does Battling Work

Fighting in Pokemon Go is a bigger mess than Brock’s love life. You’re supposed to be able to swipe left and right to dodge the incoming attacks of opposing Pokemon. You can time the dodge by watching the opponent’s attack animation. If you have decent cell service, and a bit of luck, you should even be able to dodge special attacks. You’re also supposed to tap your opponent over and over to attack. Attacks’ effectiveness is based on the rock-paper-scissors system of strengths and weaknesses found in the core Pokemon games. That means fire is weak against water, grass is weak against fire, water is weak against grass. You can check what type your Pokemon is in its bio, or refer to this handy-dandy chart. But, the Pokemon Go app’s performance issues turn fights into random kerfuffles. Your best bet is to have a ton of potions and revives at the ready in case you need to revive and heal fainted Pokemon, and just tap away, and tap and hold once in a while to unleash your Pokemon’s special attacks, which consumes some special meter .

Okay I Have A Buddy Now What

Pokemon Home Points Explained: What are They?

Go for walks! No, really, now that you have a designated Buddy you should go on strolls. Similar to egg-hatching, you can gain Candy for your buddy the more kilometers you rack up. Interestingly, different Pokemon require you walk different distances. For example, you need to walk 3 kilometers before you get a Candy for Slowpoke. You only get one candy after walking that specific distance, though. You can find out more about your Buddy’s progress by tapping the Trainer profile icon, then tapping the top of the screen, where your Trainer and Buddy are hanging out. At the top of the screen you’ll see the total distance traveled. In the middle, you’ll see your Buddy . At the bottom, there’s a gauge that shows how far you still need to walk for a Candy.

Differences Between The Free And Premium Versions

POKEMON HOME OP!! Legendary Pokemon Transfer, Competitive Ultra Beasts, and Battle Points!

Those who pay for a premium subscription will be able to deposit up to 6,000 Pokémon, whereas free users can only deposit 30. Additionally, premium users will be able to place up to 10 Pokémon in a Wonder Box for surprise trading with other players rather than just the three limited to free users. Players can earn back Fair-Play Points by completing matches without exhibiting any malicious or unsportsmanlike behavior, but it should be noted that only 5 Fair-Play Points can be awarded per day. Playing naturally and focusing on team-based objectives such as targeting wild Pokemon like Drednaw is the best way to get back in good standing. Different game modes award different amounts of Fair-Play Points:

    • Standard Battle Random Match: +2 points
    • Standard Battle CPU Match: +1 point
    • Ranked Match: +2 points

    How Does Pokmon Home Work

Pokémon Home is basically a cloud-based system that will allow players to gather all their Pokémon from various games in one place.

“This includes the Nintendo 3DS games through Pokémon Bank, Pokémon GO, Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu & Let’s Go, Eevee and Pokémon Sword & Shield allowing for players to store all their Pokémon in one place.” – serebii.net.

Pokémon Home is, in essence, an extension of the existing Pokémon Box concept. This allows you to store and move Pokémon between games and your Nintendo Switch.

It comes in two versions — a Switch version, and a mobile version. The app also comes in a free and paid-for form.

Premium version costs vary depending on the plan chosen. A one month plan costs $2.99, while a 3-month plan costs $4.99.

    A full year’s subscription costs $15.99.

    View Your Catch Calendar

The Catch Calendar is an integrated, streamlined feature that shows players which Pokemon they caught on which date. It displays details about the Pokemon and which game it was caught in.

This calendar functions primarily as a sentimental tool that allows players to recall which date they caught their most beloved Pokemon. The calendar also tracks catch anniversaries and Pokemon that have been received as gifts and in trades.

Why Do You Lose Fair Play Points In Pokemon Unite

How To Get Pokemon Home Points

Fair-Play Points are deducted as a consequence of any behavior that hinders other players or is generally unsportsmanlike. Abandoning a match is one example of this, though a unanimous surrender in Pokemon Unite is not considered malicious by any means. The following actions in any game mode will result in varying amounts of Fair-Play Points to be deducted:

    • Abandoning a Matchmade Team: -1 point
    • Idling in Battle : -2 points
    • Idling in Battle : -5 points
    • Idling in Battle : -8 points

Players who take the game seriously and act with respect are more likely to improve over time. Those who intentionally idle for the sake of being carried to victory, or who abandon a losing match, will miss out on opportunities to learn through practical experience. In all likelihood, trainers with a high number of Fair-Play Points will achieve more Medals after a match in Pokemon Unite. With Pokemon Unite garnering a lot of attention, fans can expect that the game will have a lot of staying power. The growing community can only benefit from the presence of trainers with a fair-play mindset.

Pokemon Unite is available now on Switch and releases for Mobile in September.

    Compatible Generations And Games

Pokemon Bank originally allowed players to move Pokemon across any games that included X and Y, Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Sun and Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

A companion app called Poke Transporter also allowed players to connect to the core Generation I, II and V core games.

    • Pokemon Bank – Nintendo 3DS

But this is only one way, they cannot withdraw them from Pokemon Home once they are on there

Pokemon Sword and Shield is the only exception to this, allowing you to freely move Pokemon to and from Home.

In theory, almost every game works with it but does not have full functionality.

With Sword and Shield not having the national Pokedex, it’s likely that this is in place to stop Pokemon moving to games that they are not supported in.

With Sword and Shield now getting an expansion, it was confirmed that any Pokemon found in Sword and Shield’s Isle of Armor or Crown of Tundra will be transferable to and from other titles.

What Pokmon Games Can I Use With Pokmon Home

As you can see above, Pokémon HOME is fully compatible with Pokémon Sword and Shield – you can transfer your Pokémon to and from the app at will.

You can also transfer Pokémon between Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! via Pokémon HOME, and transfer compatible Pokémon to from those games to Sword and Shield, although only monsters that are part of Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Galar Pokédex . Additionally, once they’re in Sword or Shield, they cannot then be transferred back to Let’s Go, Pikachu or Eevee.

Once transferred to Pokémon HOME, your Pokémon will be listed in the National Pokédex . Remember, Pokémon Sword and Shield has it’s own Pokédex and is not compatible with every single Pokémon, although with the additional Pokémon from the Expansion Passes, Sword and Shield will support over 600 Pokémon.

It is not currently possible to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, although the feature is coming. It should be noted that transferred Pokémon cannot be moved back to Pokémon GO once they have been moved to Pokémon HOME.

For previous generation games, all Pokémon must be transferred via Pokémon Bank on 3DS. While it is possible to transfer Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon from the 3DS Virtual Console releases of the original Game Boy games , it is not possible to move Pokémon from original Game Boy cartridges to Pokémon HOME.
