Where To Find Cresselia Pokemon Bdsp
To find and get Cresselia in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you first need to get the National Dex by beating the Elite Four and seeing all 150 Sinnoh Pokemon. With that out of the way, head down to Canalave City and into the second house down from the Pokemon Center, called Sailor Eldritchs House. Talk to both the kid and the mom, then head out and go right. Talk to the sailor and accept his offer to go to Fullmoon Island.
Once there, head up the stairs, then up and to the right, into the forest. Thats where youll first meet Cresselia. Interact with it, and it will vanish, leaving behind the Lunar Feather in a Poke Ball. It will now start appearing randomly on the many routes of Sinnoh, but well get to that in a moment. Pick up the feather and go back to the sailor. Return to the house with the sick kid and cure them. Its a sweet little story, but were trying to actually get Cresselia in Pokemon BDSP, so lets get into that.
How To Catch Cresselia In Pokemon Legends Arceus
Finding Cresselia may be straightforward enough, but battling and catching the Psychic-type Legendary is another beast altogether. If you found the new controls in Legends Arceus quite wonky and difficult to grasp at the start, well now youd have to deal with the controls in reverse. This is because Cresselia emanates a Psychic force field, getting your controls all topsy-turvy. To beat the Legendary and capture it, players will have to take a slow and steady approach to bring down this Psychic shield, the same way you would try to quell or calm down a Noble Pokemon.
- Your controls will be reversed as soon as you step into the Legendary Pokemons presence. So instead of pushing the joystick north to move forward, you actually have to hold it down to walk straight toward Cresselia.
- When you get close enough to Cresselia, the shield will dissipate a bit, allowing you to throw a Pokeball at it. Doing so will destroy the shield, giving you the opening to engage in battle with the Legendary mon.
- Once the Psychic force field is gone, throw your Pokemon at Cresselia to initiate the battle. Best to use Bug, Ghost, or Dark-type moves as these are super effective against the Psychic Legendary.
- Try to induce status conditions or bring the health down to yellow or blinking red. Then throw a Pokeballwe recommend at least a Great Ball or Ultra Ballto capture Cresselia.
Psycho Cut Or Confusion + Moonblast And Future Sight Or Grass Knot*
Psycho Cut gives Cress the ability to fire off charged moves far faster, at the cost of making her much less effective when your opponent still has shields available. Confusion puts less focus on pumping out Cresselias costly charged moves, and sports much more powerful STAB damage.
The update to Moonblast following the Go Battle League Season 2 update makes it more necessary due to its cheaper energy and useful coverage. Future Sight hits quite hard with STAB, but 65 energy is a lot to ask for. Aurora Beam is a terrible move and not viable given the updates to Cresselia’s movepool. Grass Knot is limited by its accessibility, but is Cresselia’s cheapest move and the only one that can be fired back to back. It provides coverage against Water-types and prevents Cresselia from being outright walled by Galarian Stunfisk.

How To Catch Cresselia In Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
Cresselia is a levitating Psychic-type and will be level 50 when you encounter it in the wild. So, make sure you have appropriate level Pokémon on your team to take its health down instead of one-shot KOing it.
First off, if you haven’t done so yet, make sure to change your saving settings to manual saves. This is important in case you accidentally knock Cresselia out instead of catching it. You switch to manual saves by pressing the X button to open your menu then selecting Options. Then, scroll down to Autosave and select off. Now, save your game before continuing on.
Next, take a moment to stock up on Quick Balls and Ultra Balls if you don’t already have enough. I recommend at least 30 of each if you can swing it.
Now that you have all of your resources, you can go and find it. However, Just like Mesprit, Cresselia will move to a new location every time you yourself move to a new location on the Sinnoh map. So to catch it, I find it best to find the border between two routes and go back and forth until it shows up in the route I’m on, as seen in the Marking Map app. I personally prefer to go to Route 212 to do this, just south of Hearthome City. Note that if you have two moving Legendary Pokémon active that both will show up in the app.
After some patience and hard work, you’ll eventually add Cresselia to your team and can add it to your party if you wish to.
How To Catch Shiny Cresselia
Okay, so you have your team of brave trainers, and you have selected your strongest Pokemon. Now what?
Cresselias catch circle is quite large and located on her face, which makes it an easy target. You want to be using the circle lock technique here to get the maximum Excellent throws in.
Cresselias attack is a fluid swoop forward, at which point she will circle back to her spot, so the best time to throw your Pokeball is when she has just finished her attack.
The best berry to use on Cresselia is the Golden Razz Berry.

Who Is Cresselia In Pokmon Go
A Legendary Psychic type Pokémon first encountered in the Sinnoh Region of Gen IV, Cresselia is the counterpart of Darkrai forming the Lunar Duo. While Darkrai is infamous for its ability to cause nightmares, Cresselia can both grant pleasant dreams and dispel Darkrai’s nightmares, as well as heal humans and Pokémon alike. Unlike many Legendary Pokémon, Cresselia are all female. Feathers from Cresselia are prized among people for their healing abilities.
In the core games, Cresselia’s high defense has its uses, but in Pokémon Go, it really isn’t much more than a Pokédex entry. Because Legendaries can’t be put in gyms, there’s just not a good use for her. However, you can transfer your Cresselia from Pokémon Go to Pokémon HOME, and given that Shiny hunting is much easier in Go than the core games, it may still be worth your while to catch this one.
Q Why Is Cresselia So Good
Cresselia wreaks havoc in her respective competitive brackets because she is not strong enough to be in UBER where most other legendary Pokemon reside. Instead, she is allowed in UU and down to RU where Cresselia has a higher chance of succeeding. Her natural bulky statline along with her relatively higher base stat totals make her a powerful pick for teams in this bracket.

Q Is Cresselia A Legendary
Cresselia is a legendary Pokemon that was introduced in generation four with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. She is part of the lunar duo and her counterpart is Darkrai. Since Cresselia cannot be bred, does not evolve into or from any Pokemon, and meets the catch rate threshold, Cresselia is classified as a legendary Pokemon.

Cresselia is a Psychic-type Legendary Pokemon from the Sinnoh region. It can be a powerful defense-minded fighter in Pokemon GO.
With high defense and stamina stats, Cresselia can take quite a bit of punishment before fainting in Pokemon GO battles. However, like any Pokemon in the game, it has weaknesses that can be exploited.
Trainers will want to utilize the right counters when they know they’ll be facing the Legendary Pokemon in either a raid or GO Battle League.

How To Get Cresselia In Pokemon Go
A Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon, Cresselia is only available in Raids at limited times and one thing that the players should know that it cannot be obtained from eggs. Always keep an eye out for events in which you will be able to battle and catch rare Pokemon. The last time Cresselia was available as a raid boss was in the Halloween event.
Since both Cresselia and Giratina are vulnerable to Ghost-type and Dark-type attacks, many of the Pokémon used against Giratina would also be successful against Cresselia. The only other drawback of this Psychic-type is that it is vulnerable to the Bug-type.
Make every Premier Ball count because you’ll only have a certain number of Premier Balls to capture Cresselia until you’ve defeated her. If you beat Cresselia with your mates, you will win more Premier Balls, so carry them along. Until each throw, use a Golden Razz Berry, and remember to gather them by beating other Raid Bosses. Below mentioned are the base statistics of this Pokemon which might help in preparing for a battle against it:

Q Why Is Cresselia So Hard To Catch
Other than her very low catch rate, Cresselia is a roaming legendary Pokemon. This means that once you have unlocked her through regular play in the story, you can encounter Cresselia instead of any wild Pokemon encounter. This makes catching Cresselia much more difficult as you cannot guarantee when you locate her and she could potentially run away before you can get the best odds of catching her.
How Many Trainers Are Needed
Cresselia can be defeated with three trainers, but if you cannot guarantee the top counters with maxed-out CP and the best moves, your best bet is to make sure you have four or five players because Cresselia can be quite Defense-heavy.
Using the Circle Lock Technique to guarantee Great or Excellent throws, along with Golden Razz Berries, is the best way to catch Pokémon. However, note that Shiny Legendaries are guaranteed first-catch wins in Pokémon GO. If you get a Shiny Cresselia, for sure opt for a Pinap Berry instead to increase the Cresselia Candies you pull in.

How To Find Roaming Pokemon In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Much like the games’ other roaming Pokemon, Mesprit, catching Cresselia can be incredibly frustrating. Players will again need to use the Marking Map on their Poketch to keep track of the Pokemon’s position, with a view to getting to the same route that she’s on and then encountering her in a random battle. She can show up either in long grass or on water and has a very high chance of spawning if players can get to her location before she moves. Sadly, however, the latter is easier said than done.
To speed up the process, players can manipulate Cresselia’s movement by repeatedly crossing one of the invisible borders that joins a city with one of its connecting routes. Jubilife City is a great spot for this, as not only does it have four different exits, but only one of these requires players to pass through a building. Once Cresselia does appear on a route connected to Jubilife, players should make their way over to her on foot, save their game and then trigger an encounter either on land or in water. If Cresselia doesn’t appear, they should restart the software and try again.

How To Get Shiny Cresselia In Pokemon Go
As is the case with every legendary Pokemon in raids , each catch opportunity has a 1/20 chance of being a shiny Cresselia. These odds are massively increased from the usual 1/450 chance of a standard wild Pokemon being shiny. If you do encounter a shiny Cresselia, make sure you use a Pinap Berry! A shiny legendary has a 100% catch rate , so you don’t need to use a Razz Berry. Instead you can maximise those candy gains.
How To Catch Regigigas
Once you obtained the main quest “The Plate of Snowpoint Temple”, you must head to the aforementioned place in search of this legendary titan. Once you arrive at the temple, head to the path at the right of the stairs instead of taking them, and you should find a door. Now, this door requires you to have the Iron Plate, obtainable after catching Heatran, the Icicle Plate, which you get after defeating the frenzied Avalugg, and last, the Stone Plate, rewarded by defeating Alpha Vespiquen in the Grueling Grove during the main mission “The Researcher of Myths”.
After you open the secret door using the three plates, you will have access to the subterranean arena where Regigigas will be waiting for you. Keep in mind that this pokemon it’s at level 70, with access to powerful moves such as Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Crush Grip, and Giga Impact, so be well prepared and bring some Fighting-type pokemon to inflict good damage, enough for you to catch it.

What Counters Cresselia In Pokemon Go
If youre familiar with the Pokemon series, youll know by now that certain types have either of a damage advantage or incoming damage reduction in certain matchups, known as super effective and not very effective respectively. Cresselia is a pure Psychic-type Pokemon much like its duo counterpart Darkrai, it has a few good matchups and a few that favour it less.
Cresselia in particular will excel against Fighting and Psychic-type attacks but will suffer against Bug, Dark and Ghost types.

Itll be worth looking at what moveset Cresselia is running to help understand which type makes for the best counter matchup in Pokemon Go battles.
With that in mind, Cresselia has two Psychic-type fast attacks, and a mixed set of charged moves consisting of Ice, Psychic, Fairy and Grass-type charged attacks. This means a solid half of the moveset is Psychic-type, so Dark-types have a pretty good chance here given that makes them immune to half of the attacks Cresselia can use.
Dark-types will have to be careful though, as the Fairy-type Moonblast will be a painful attack to be hit by, dealing doubled damage to them.
Ghost and Bug-types do not specifically resist Psychic attacks, however, so Dark-types are still the best matchup here regardless.
