Nearly any holographic first edition rare card from the original set can grow immensely in price compared to other rare Pokemon cards, but since they arent as actively hunted, their prices can vary far more wildly based on their quality.

Machamp is one of these. According to PSA Cards range of auction prices based on the cards quality classification, perfect mint condition Machamps of this kind can land between $800 and $6000, while dropping just one rating down will result in prices around $200 and $900. This card in particular truly proves how important it is to keep your trading cards safe through the years, as you never know just what will become valuable twenty years later.

Always Have Eggs In An Incubator

In addition to catching Pokémon the old-fashioned way, you should make sure you always have an Incubator on an egg as you walk around, so that eventually, that egg will hatch into a Pokémon!

To do this, click the Pokéball icon, click “Pokémon,” click “Eggs,” and then click the incubator icon in the bottom right of the screen. Place it on whichever egg you like. Eggs with higher walking distances will yield rarer Pokémon, but they’ll take longer to hatch, so choose wisely!

Visit Pokstops With Active Lure Modules

Whenever you see a Pokéstop with pink confetti raining down around it, that means someone has used a Lure Module on it, which increases the rate at which Pokémon appear for 30 minutes.

Feel free to just hang out near one of these Pokéstops for as long as that Lure Module is active, and you’ll find a Pokémon at least once every couple of minutes.

If you’ve found a Lure Module, you can use it on a Pokéstop by clicking the small white oblong shape beneath the description of the Pokéstop, and fill it with a Lure Module from your inventory.

Everyone in the area can benefit from these items, so you’ll probably see a few other Pokémon trainers at these Pokéstops, too!

How To Manage Motivation

So youve captured the gym and put your best team in it. Youre set, right? Theres no way someone is going to take it from you. That used to be the case, but with the latest update things have changed. Now you have to take into account motivation, which is your Pokemons willingness to fight translated in combat power. Every day you hold a gym, the CP of your Pokemon drops. Once it hits zero, your Pokemon get kicked out of the gym unless you feed berries to each one holding it. To make matters worse, Pokemon with CP above 3,000 lose motivation faster. This ensures a more dynamic map, but also makes it harder to hold gyms. Thats why youll want to keep yourself well stocked with berries so you can keep your Pokemon in fighting shape.

How Do I Unlock Great Balls Master Balls And Ultra Balls

Youll start the game with Pokeballs with more powerful balls unlocked later on. Here are the level caps for each one:

• You start the game with Pokeballs unlocked.
• Youll unlock Great Balls at level 12.
• Ultra Balls unlock at level 20.
• Master Balls will be available starting at level 30.

Go for walks! No, really, now that you have a designated Buddy you should go on strolls. Similar to egg-hatching, you can gain Candy for your buddy the more kilometers you rack up. Interestingly, different Pokemon require you walk different distances. For example, you need to walk 3 kilometers before you get a Candy for Slowpoke. You only get one candy after walking that specific distance, though.You can find out more about your Buddy’s progress by tapping the Trainer profile icon, then tapping the top of the screen, where your Trainer and Buddy are hanging out. At the top of the screen you’ll see the total distance traveled. In the middle, you’ll see your Buddy . At the bottom, there’s a gauge that shows how far you still need to walk for a Candy.

There are four different types of Poké Ball currently available in Pokémon GO, detailed below:

To bring more clarity to this chart, the target ring size is the size the coloured ring has to be compared to the outer grey ring to trigger the throw bonus.

As you can see though, the size of the coloured ring can vary to trigger the bonus, and the bonus can increase depending on the size.

For example, a nice throw at 80% will have a higher throw bonus than a nice throw at 90%.

Pokeballs From Rewards And The Shop

Pokeballs can also be obtained from achieving milestones. Leveling up, completing Research Tasks, and opening gifts can all reward the player with different Pokeballs. These can be large rewards but are very infrequent so your best source is still from Pokestops and Gyms.

If you still find yourself lacking Pokeballs even from spinning Photo Discs, there is one last way to get Pokeballs. The Shop menu allows you to buy items, including Pokeballs, in large quantities. Though this method only allows you to buy normal Pokeballs and not Great or Ultra Balls, it’s still a quick way to refill on Pokeballs.

How To Throw A Curve Ball

Curve Balls are performed by first spinning the Poké Ball and then throwing it to make it curve before it hits the Pokémon.

To pull these off, you’ll first want to spin the Poké Ball and then swipe to throw it. Make sure you throw against the curve , or the Poké Ball won’t even hit the Pokémon.

You’ll also want to alter your throw direction depending on how far the Pokémon is away from you. If they’re close, you’ll want to throw it wide so it curves in quicker. If they’re far away, you’ll want a shorter curve so don’t throw it to wide focus on getting distance instead.

If you’re struggling to follow all of this, basically, the highest chance you have of catching the Pokémon is to throw a Curve Ball into the smallest circle possible.

Learn The L Throw Curve Technique

A certain member of the Pokémon community developed the reliable ‘L Throw’ technique that reportedly makes it easier to catch Pokémon using a curve throw.

This involves spinning the Poké Ball clockwise, then sliding your finger up the screen to the left of the Pokémon and releasing it when it’s level with the Pokémon.

Savvy players will want to time their finger slide when the circle is nearing its smallest to grab that increased capture rate too!

Can You Catch Groudon Without A Master Ball

Send out a Flying-type first and stall the Groudon. The Timer Balls catch rate doesnt go up if the Pokémon is weak, just if a lot of turns have been taken, so the more you stall, the better chance you have at catching it. Eventually after a decent amount of turns, you should catch him with one of your timer balls.

How Does Battling Work

Fighting in Pokemon Go is a bigger mess than Brock’s love life. You’re supposed to be able to swipe left and right to dodge the incoming attacks of opposing Pokemon. You can time the dodge by watching the opponent’s attack animation. If you have decent cell service, and a bit of luck, you should even be able to dodge special attacks. You’re also supposed to tap your opponent over and over to attack. Attacks’ effectiveness is based on the rock-paper-scissors system of strengths and weaknesses found in the core Pokemon games. That means fire is weak against water, grass is weak against fire, water is weak against grass. You can check what type your Pokemon is in its bio, or refer to this handy-dandy chart.But, the Pokemon Go app’s performance issues turn fights into random kerfuffles. Your best bet is to have a ton of potions and revives at the ready in case you need to revive and heal fainted Pokemon, and just tap away, and tap and hold once in a while to unleash your Pokemon’s special attacks, which consumes some special meter .

How To Get Poke Balls In Pokemon Go

One way to get Poke Balls is to level up. As you level up you will be gifted with Poke Balls from time to time. Normally this is a pretty large chunk so leveling up is a great way to get some extra Poke Balls.

The best way to get extra Poke Balls is to visit PokeStops. These are typically businesses, parks or churches that will have a blue symbol over them. When you get close enough, you can click the blue symbol and the name will pop up along with a picture. When the picture is on the screen, spin the picture and it will toss items out at you. You always get Poke Balls from these at the very least. You can also get Eggs, Potions and other useful items every now and then. If you visit the same one frequently you will get reduced items but you still normally get 3 Poke Balls at least. I am not 100% sure on what the re spawn timer is for the PokeStop but it is very low, something like five minutes. Just find yourself a route and take it for an hour or so and you will have Poke Balls to burn. If you are lucky you will work at a place that is a center and you can just farm them at work.
