Joining A Raid Battle

Pokemon GO – HOW TO FIND ALL RARE POKEMON!

Raid battles are arguably Pokemon Gos biggest feature. Once you hit level 20, you can access raid events in which a powerful Boss Pokemon appears at certain times of the day. If there’s a raid happening close to you, you get a notification and have the chance to join. But if you walk right up to a gym, youll be disappointed when the bouncer at the door asks for a Raid Pass or Premium Raid Pass and you don’t have one. These can be gotten by going to a gym and spinning the photo disc. Only one raid pass can be used per day, otherwise, you need to purchase a Premium Raid Pass from the shop to participate in raid battles more often.

Color Of The Target Ring

The capture rate of a Pokémon can be identified by the color of the target ring seen in front of the Pokémon in the encounter screen. The color of the ring can change during the same encounter when a Berry or betterPoké Ball is used to change the capture rate variables.

However, when catching a Shadow Pokémon, the ring color is determined using a Base Capture Rate of 5%. This causes their target circle color to initially appear bright red in reality, their catch rates are identical to wild encounters of the same species of Pokémon. Similarly, when encountering Pokémon disguised as Ditto, the ring color matches what’s expected for the disguise, but the actual observed catch rate matches Ditto’s expected catch rates.

How To Make Friends And Trade Pokmon

New to Pokémon Go is the ability to trade Pokémon with friends a feature players have been clamoring for. Trading is a complicated system, though, and requires you to put in a lot of effort to make it work.

First, theres a new Friend tab on your Trainer menu, which allows you to add friends using a Friend Code. You can add friends regardless of physical proximity if you have the code, and you can interact with them in some ways even if theyre not around to play with. Your capabilities with friends is determined by your Friendship Level the higher the level, the better, specifically for trading Pokémon.

You can only trade Pokémon with people youve added to your friend list, and they have to be physically close to you in order for the trade to happen. Trades will also cost you Stardust, but making trades earns you candies for the Pokémon type you trade. Common Pokémon you already have in your Pokédex are relatively cheap and easy to trade, but Legendary Pokémon and Pokémon you dont have in your Pokédex already require Special trades, and you can only execute one of those per day.

How To Power Up A Pokmon

In addition to evolving Pokémon, you can choose to Power Up, a system that increases their CP in small bursts. Powering up your Pokémon is one of the more complex aspects of the game.

On the surface, it seems simple: Players give their Pokémon Stardust, a currency you earn by catching Pokémon and by winning gym battles and raids, and candies to increase their numbers. Like evolving, powering up increases the HP and CP of your Pokémon, but at a slower rate. The more you increase a Pokémons CP, the more Stardust you will need to upgrade it.

In general, Pokémon with higher CP will beat Pokémon with lower CP in battle, but that isnt always the case, thanks to its underlying stats. Instead of a number, players get to see the Pokémons CP potential, which shows its level on a sliding scale relative to your trainer level.

You can upgrade your Pokémon up to 150% of your current trainer level, so the CP cap a particular Pokémon can reach is measured by a white arc when you select it on the Pokémon menu. As you power up the Pokémon, that arc will fill toward the right side, and when its completely full, you wont be able to power up that Pokémon any more until you increase your own overall Trainer level through experience points. Each time you power up a Pokémon, you increase its level by one half.

Make The Pokmon Come To You

If youre really struggling to find many Pokemon in the wild, there are a few ways you can make the Pokémon come to you. If you have access to a PokéStop, try adding a Lure to it, which attracts Pokémon for all players in the vicinity.

If not, you can always try using an Incense, which achieves a similar effect to Lures but are for your exclusive use. A bonus for being in an area that doesn’t spawn Pokémon is that the Pokémon that spawn via Incense and Lures can be literally anything. Usually, the Pokémon that are attracted to these are more likely to be ones you can find locally. Give it a try!

How To Catch Water Pokemon In Pokemon Go

Water Pokemon such as the amazing Slowpoke can predictably be found in places where you’ll also find water. If you live near a river, stream, lake or the like, you’ll find lots of them there. Likewise for other water-heavy areas such as harbours or the beach.

There’s 32 water-type Pokemon in the original 151 Pokemon that feature in Pokemon Go. That includes: Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Psyduck, Golduck, Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Tentacool, Tentacruel, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Seel, Dewgong, Shellder, Cloyster, Krabby, Kingler, Horsea, Seadra, Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops, Goldeen, Seaking, Staryu, Starmie, Magikarp, Gyarados, Lapras and Vaporeon – though some of these will only be available via evolution.

18 water-type Pokemon were added in the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update. That includes: Totodile, Croconaw, Feraligatr, Chinchou, Lanturn, Marill, Azumarill, Politoed, Wooper, Quagsire, Slowking, Qwilfish, Corsola, Remoraid, Octillery, Mantine, Kingdra, Suicune.

How To Catch A Pokmon In Pokmon Go

Pokémon Go, like any Pokémon game, is all about catching Pokémon. Sure, there are other important features too, like finding PokéStops, joining a team or taking pictures, but at the end of the day, becoming a real life Pokémon master means catching all the Pokémon.

Must Read

In Pokémon Go, however, that’s a little bit harder than usual. Unlike other Pokémon games, catching doesn’t come down to strategically squaring off one Pokémon against another. Instead, to catch a Pokémon, you have to have good aim. That’s because Pokémon battles are finger swipe-versus-monster as you swipe a Poké Ball toward a Pokémon.

There are little tricks that we’ve learned, however, to help you figure out the best method of catching a Pokémon, despite the whole process feeling like it’s left up to luck. Were happy to share our tips with you on how to find and catch Pokémon for your growing Pokémon Go collection.

How to find a Pokémon

There’s a meter along the lower right-hand corner of the screen to alert you to whether a Pokémon is nearby. One to three pawprints will accompany its silhouette or icon to indicate just how close you are to it, with three meaning its far away. A Redditor created the diagram below to help you best use Pokémon Go‘s Pokémon tracker:

Once you’ve figured that out and happened across a Pokémon, you’ll have to catch it.

Pokemon Go: How to Find Rare Pokemon Using Nests

Only Pokémon Go’s developers know for sure. Here’s what’s been theorized, though:

  • Every so often, a spawn point “rolls” to determine if something should spawn.
  • If the answer is yes, it determines from the spawn point’s biome what Pokémon should spawn.
  • If the spawn point is a nest, the nesting Pokémon has a higher probability of being spawned.
  • There’s a very small chance an ultra-rare Pokémon might spawn, detached from the biome, over-riding the typical spawn.
  • If a spawn point has multiple Pokémon, the same procedure is repeated for all of them.

Leaving Your Pokemon To Defend A Gym Is Actually Rewarding

Gym battles are great, but if you see a Gym of your team with a open space for a Pokemon defender, it’s worth dropping one of your highest level Pokemon in there to defend it for a while. Not only will you help boost that Gym’s ranks, your Pokemon will actually earn you Pikachu coins for the duration of its time there, which you can then spend on lovely things like Incubators and bag upgrades. Sweet!

Rarest Pokemon In Pokemon Go

Climate patterns, seasonality, distinct biomes, spawn cycles, and other factors make it more challenging to obtain a particular Pokemon. It is also tough to select the rarest, most desired Pokemon due to the dozens of Pokemon and over six decades of filtering through.

Goomy is a rare Pokemon Go. Every player in the most recent XY event wished Goomy good luck. So Niantic made sure the gooey little guy was a valuable prize, so you can imagine how uncommon the species is in everyday life.

Goomy is the most vulnerable of the dragon-type Pokémon, with a primarily watery body and a germ-infested nasal mucosa covering it.

Goomy’s horns are equipped with advanced sensors that allow it to detect even the tiniest hint of an assailant, enabling it to withstand any threat. The Goomy is immune to fire, water, grass, and electric-type attacks. However, it has limited unique attack efficiency recovery options.

What Makes A Pokmon A Regional

As Niantic has released more Pokémon into the world for us to search for, some Pokémon have been harder to find due to being in specific areas of the globe, requiring dedicated trainers to travel to obtain these otherwise elusive Pokémon.

With the COVID-19 global pandemic taking over the world in 2020, travelling to other parts of the globe is often frowned upon. Naturally, meeting your fellow trainers from other countries has also turned into a challenge per se and as such, getting regional Pokémon is just not as easy as it was.

That being said, Niantic has announced the arrival of Gen 6 Pokémon into the game starting December 2, 2020.

The announcement of a new generation of Pokémon naturally brings in new regionals to the forefront. With the positivity and hopes that the Kalos region is about to bring to Pokémon Go, let us carry the same hope in being able to catch the latest regional Pokémon ASAP!

With that being said, lets find out about the regional Pokémon in the game!

Hidden Tips For Pokemon Go Fanatics

How to play Pokemon Go

Step back out into the world, and master these tricks to become the ultimate Pokemon Go trainer.

Pokemon Go has captured the world’s heart, and maybe even made America great again. In fact, not even a global pandemic significantly slowed Pokemon Go’s momentum. With some precautions, we can catch them all, and stay healthy at the same time.

Pokemon Go has received several updates since its launch, making it incredibly fun to play. It requires you to get up, leave the couch, and visit real-world locations to replenish important items, participate in Gym and Raid Battles, and of course, catch wild Pokemon. The rules have been relaxed during the COVID-19 era , but going outside is still generally the point.

Unfortunately, the game provides little guidance on the nuances of catching, collecting, and evolving Pokemonthere’s barely a tutorial. If you’re just starting out, see How to Get Started and Catch ‘Em All for a primer on what every icon means, how to capture Pokemon, and other basics.

The following advanced tips and tricks go one step further to help you truly master Pokemon Go, use it to enhance your other Pokemon adventures on consoles, and maybe, just maybe, put you in the mood for the upcoming Pokemon Sleep.

How To Catch Dragon Pokemon In Pokemon Go

Dragon-type Pokemon such as Dratini are rare beasts, but they’re not impossible to find! Dragon-type Pokemon are only found at what Pokemon Go defines as ‘places of interest’ – famous places or landmarks anywhere. If a landmark or old place is significant enough to be marked specifically on a map, it’s probably a good spot to hunt for dragons.

There’s only 3 dragon-type Pokemon in the original 151 Pokemon that feature in Pokemon Go: Dratini, Dragonair and Dragonite. It’s unclear if the latter two can be found in the wild, but they can definitely be evolved from Dratini who has been found in a variety of places.

Only 1 dragon-type Pokemon was added in the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update: Kingdra.

Evolve That Eevee Rename It

If you remember the original Pokemon cartoon, you may recall the three Eevee Brothers, who each owned one of Eevee’s evolutions: a Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. If you nickname your Eevee one of the brothers’ punny names, then it will evolve into your desired evolution! Want a Flareon? Then name it Pyro. Want a Jolteon? Name it Sparky! Jonesing for a Vaporeon? Then call it Rainer. This may not work all the time, however it’s an almost-guaranteed way to evolve one of your Eevees, but this weird method may not work 100 percent of the time.

Is There A Higher Chance For A Pokmon To Flee The More Times It Escapes

POKEMON GO HOW TO FIND RARE POKEMON!

Not really. The flee rate is always the same. The more times it escapes, though, the more often you risk it fleeing. So, if a Dragonite breaks free, it has a 5% chance of fleeing. If it breaks out again, the chance is still only 5%, but it’s another chance. Same with the 10th or 20th breakout.

It’s what makes super hard to catch yet low flee rate Pokémon so exciting/frustrating. You can throw every Ultra and Great Ball you have at a Dragonite and it can keep escaping yet never fleeing, draining you down.

Is Catch Rate X Pokmon Level Why Some Low Cp Pokmon Are So Hard To Catch

It can be. When you a see a Pokémon on your catch screen you also see the CP of that Pokémon. If the CP is low we tend to think the level is low, making it easier to catch. But CP doesn’t just depend on level, it also depends on stats .

So, a Pokémon with low CP could be a low level Pokémon with good stats or it could also be a high level Pokémon with lousy stats. In other words, if a low CP Pokémon keeps escaping your Poké Ball, odds are it’s a lousy Pokémon that just happens to be high level and may not be worth your continued time and resources trying to catch.
