With the yearly Pokemon GO Halloween event now upon us, players have the opportunity to capture and encounter a range of Pokemon that are brand new to the game.
The likes of Phantump and Trevenant and Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist will be making their spooky debuts alongside another Pokemon that debuted in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Galarian Slowking.
The Hexpert Pokemon joins Galarian Slowpoke and Galarian Slowbro which both debuted in Pokemon GO earlier this year.
Much like Galarian Slowbro, Galarian Slowking will have a special evolution method in the game so, with that in mind, heres how to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowking in Pokemon GO.

What Lies Beneath The Mask Research Tasks
The first leg of Pokemon Go’s Halloween 2021 event also introduces a new Special Research story called What Lies Beneath the Mask? This task line revolves around the ghost Pokemon Yamask, and it’ll give you a chance to catch its Galarian form and earn other rewards. You can see the full list of Research tasks below.

How To Evolve A Galarian Slowpoke Into A Galarian Slowking On Pokmon Go
Evolving a Galarian Slowpoke into a Galarian Slowking in Pokémon Go involves fulfilling a specific evolution requirement in a similar manner to evolving the same Pokémon into Galarain Slowbro.
To add a Galarian Slowking to your Pokédex in Pokémon Go, you first need to have a Galarian Slowpoke.
To evolve a Galarian Slowpoke into a Galarian Slowking you must have 50 Slowpoke candy and, while the Galarian Slowpoke is your buddy, catch 30 psychic-type Pokémon.
It’s only after filling this specific requirement that the option to evolve into Galarian Slowking will be unlocked.
Slowpoke candy can be collected by walking 3km with any Slowpoke as your buddy or by using Pinap Berries when catching any type of Slowpoke.
Fulfilling the psychic-type requirement, however, might be more complex depending on which biomes are near you.
For this reason, we recommend focusing on this challenge when psychic-types are appearing more frequently in the wild thanks to an event, such as the 2021 Halloween event, or during either a Community Day or Spotlight Hour focused around a specific psychic-type Pokémon.

HOW TO EVOLVE GALARIAN SLOWPOKE INTO SLOWBRO
Galarian Slowpoke can only evolve into Galarian Slowbro through a special item called the Galarica Cuff. This item acts like an evolution stone where youll need to use it on your Galarian Slowpoke to cause its evolution.
However, youll need to find Galarica Twigs in order to obtain this special item.
HOW TO GET ITEMS NEEDED TO EVOLVE SLOWPOKE INTO SLOWBRO
Trainers will need to find eight Galarica Twigs that are scattered throughout the Isle of Armor.
These twigs are presented as hidden items on the base of trees around the island. If you need a refresher, Hidden items are the glowing specs on the ground that can be picked up by standing next to it and pressing the A button.
On this island there is a non-playable character there who youll need to speak to. If you have a Galarian Slowpoke on your team when you speak to her, youll receive a customization item for your trainer.

How To Evolve Galarian Slowpoke In Pokmon Go:
As a Pokémon that cant currently be caught in its current form, players will first need to catch a Galarian Slowpoke. To do this, since the Pokémon isnt appearing in the wild, you will need to win a 1* raid battle against the Galarian Slowpoke and successfully catch it. Or, you can instead opt for trying to obtain the Field Request, Evolve 3 Slowpoke, as completing it will result in an encounter against a Galarian Slowpoke.
Once added to your collection, similar to the previous methods of evolving Slowpoke, 50 Slowpoke candy are required but an additional step will stand in your way.
Instead of needing to collect 8 Galarica Twigs and giving them to an NPC to obtain a Galarica Cuff, players need only to make Galarian Slowpoke their buddy and catch 30 Poison type Pokémon.
Once done, there is nothing stopping you from evolving Galarian Slowpoke into a Galarian Slowbro. Unless of course youd rather hold out for a Shiny Galarian Slowpoke, which is available in-game. Poison-type Pokémon that can currently be caught include: Weedle, Nidoran, Grimer and Tentacool. For Galarian Slowking, however, instead of catching 30 Poison-type Pokémon, players will instead need to catch 30 Psychic-type Pokémon.

How To Get Kanto Slowpoke And Evolve It To Slowking In Pokmon Sword And Shields Isle Of Armor Expansion
For once, you arent going to be looking in the tall grass.
Youll likely run into your fair share of Galarian Slowpoke while running around the Isle of Armor. But if you want to get a Kantonian Slowpoke, you might need to do a little searching.
You cant actually find the original form of Slowpoke in Pokémon Sword and Shields Isle of Armor expansion. But that doesnt mean its unavailable.
The only way you can actually get Kantonian Slowpoke in-game is by helping find 150 Alolan Diglett scattered throughout the new map. That side quest will have you travel to each of the named locations on the Isle of Armor and look around for the Mole Pokémon.
You wont actually need to finish the quest to get the Slowpoke, though. In fact, youll only need to find 10. Thats easily doable just by exploring the Isle of Armor naturally because youll run into several Diglett that are hidden in plain sight during your travels.
Once you find 10 of the Alolan native, you can talk to the NPC claiming to be their trainer and hell give you a reward. Among the first rewards is a Kantonian Slowpoke with the Hidden Ability Regenerator.
From there, youre free to breed and get as many Kantonian Slowpoke as you want. And the best part is that gift Pokémon will also come holding a Kings Rock. That means all you need to do is trade it and you can get a Slowking, too.

What Galarian Slowbro Does In Battle
Galarian Slowbro is the only member of the Slow family to specialize in Attack. It also has the unique Ability Quick Draw, which gives it a chance to go first when it uses a damaging move. This points to a straightforward, aggressive build.
Psychic is still an essential attack, and Sludge Wave makes for a good Poison-type move. Focus Blast is great for countering the Dark-types and Steel-types Galarian Slowbro is weak to. Finally, Grass Knot or Earthquake can beat Ground-types.

Galarian Slowpoke finally made its way from Galar into Pokemon GO, but players are wondering how theyre going to evolve it.
Galarian Slowpoke is a regional variant that appeared in the Isle of Armor DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield. This version of Slowpoke lost its Water typing, and both Slowbro and Slowking received Poison as a secondary type. Unfortunately, they evolved through two special items , neither of which are in Pokemon GO.

Everything Else We Know About Galarian Slowpoke And Galarian Slowbro
Galarian Slowpoke and Galarian Slowbro made their first appearances in the Pokémon universe in the Isle of Armor DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield. You don’t, however, have to own the DLC to catch a Galarian Slowpoke, because a short preview event for the DLC allows you to catch one in Wedgehurst Station.
Like all regional variants, Galarian Slowpoke and Galarain Slowbro have different appearances compared to their Gen 1 counterparts.
Galarian Slowpoke has abandoned its full pink body for a yellow tail tip and head, including worry lines. Galarain Slowbro, meanwhile, differs further from it’s Gen 1 design with splodges of purple and a Shellder attached to its right-hand rather than its tail.
The typing for both Galarian Slowpoke and Galarian Slowbro also differs from their original forms, with Galarian Slowpoke being a pure psychic-type Pokémon and Galarian Slowbro being a poison and psychic-type. The change in Galarian Slowbro’s typing is said to have been caused by the Shellder bite causing a chemical reaction with the spices inside Slowbro’s body.
There is a Galarian Slowking too, which debuted in the Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Like the other Galarian variants in the Slowpoke evolution line, it differs in both typing – becoming a poison and water-type Pokémon – and appearance, with the Shellder now swallowing its entire head.
