Keep All Your Shinies

Glaceon & Leafeon Deep Dive In Pokemon Go (How Good Are They?)

There are lots of Eevee evolutions to collect, and if youre a crazy collector youll also want to have both male and female versions.

After using the Eevee name trick, you cant always choose which evolution you get. So make sure to collect plenty of shinies so you can have another shot if you get any doubles.

Also, who knows what Eevee evolutions there will be in the future? Keep plenty of shinies in your Pokémon storage to future-proof your collection.

Take Advantage Of Its Low Hp And Knock It Out With Super Effective Damage

Although Glaceon has high Defense and Special Defense, its HP is middling, allowing a heavy-hitting Rock- or Steel-type attack to take it out with relative ease.

As it frequently holds Mirror Coat, it’s important to watch out when trying to hit a weak point with a Special attacker.

The Grass-type Pokemon ranks in the top half of the Eeveelutions overall performance, however, that doesnt necessarily make it a good Pokemon.

PVPoke ranks it as the 206th best Pokemon in the Great League and the 191st in the Master League. It peaks in the Ultra League but can still only muster 170th place.

That being said, the Ultra League does have a range of strong Water-type Pokemon, including Swampert, Lapras and Gyarados that Leafeon can help to take down. There are better Grass-type picks though.

If you do decide to use Leafeon, its best moveset is:

  • Fast Move Bullet Seed

Evolving Eevee Into Glaceon

If players decide they want Glaceon instead of Leafeon, they’ll need to fly north to Snowpoint City and look for the Ice Rock on Route 217.

Go past Acuity Lakefront and enter Route 217. There’s a lot of short grass and snow to trek through, so use a Repel if Wild Pokemon keep jumping out.

After the first bunch of short grass on Route 217, go south past the sign and then go to the right. Players will know if they’re at the right area if there’s a hut and a female skier nearby.

A little ways north of this hut is more grass and the Ice Rock. Level up Eevee by having it battle or gaining EXP from the EXP Share. Since the Pokemon in this area are stronger than the ones in Eterna Forest, it may be better to just have Eevee take a back seat while another Pokemon in the party fights. Although, fighting wild Pokemon can easily be bypassed by feeding Eevee a Rare Candy.

If done correctly and Eevee leveled up near the Ice Rock, it should evolve into Glaceon. Like Leafeon, Glaceon has solid Defense, but it has a low base Speed and Attack. However, it excels in Special Attack and has moderate Special Defense.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available now on Nintendo Switch.

HOW TO GET GLACEON IN POKEMON GO!

Glaceon Pokemon Go is one of the many evolutions by Eevee. This pokemon can be evolved into a number of different types of evolutions depending on the way that has been used to evolve Eevee. Heres how to get Pokemon Go Glaceon from Eevee:

  • The first way to get Glaceon from Eevee is easy. Players will have to rename Eevee as Rea to evolve it into ice-type Glaceon
  • The second way of evolving Eevee into Glaceon is by giving Eevee a Glacial Lure to hold.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon And Glaceon

Grass-type Leafeon and Ice-type Glaceon are the latest Eeveelutions to be added to Pokémon Go and unlike Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon there is a secondary way of securing their forms.

In order to evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon youll have to get specific items: either the Glacial Lure Module for Glaceon or the Mossy Lure Module for Leafeon, both of which can be purchased in the in-game shop for 200 coins each.

Once you have the correct Lure Module, simply apply it to a PokéStop. While youre still close to that PokéStop and the Lure is active, evolve your Eevee using the usual 25 candies and you should get the form youre looking for. If everything is working properly, the evolution button should show the outline of the Eevee evolution you’re going to get before you press it, rather than the usual question mark.

How To Evolve Eevee To Glaceon

While standing within spinning distance of the PokeStop, players need to go into their Pokemon collection and select an Eevee. Assuming they have at least 25 Eevee candy and are within spinning distance of the PokeStop, they should now have the option to evolve Eevee into Glaceon.

As one might imagine, getting Leafeon in Pokemon GO is handled in largely the same way, except with the Mossy Lure Module instead of the Glacial Lure Module. The Mossy Lure Module costs 200 coins as well, and so it will require the same money or time investment for anyone looking to add all of the Eeveelutions to their collection.

This score also allows you to see the parity in different leagues and categories.

Trainer Battles feature a wide variety of scenarios, especially involving shields. In order to give a fuller picture, our overall rankings are derived from additional sets of rankings, where battles are simulated with different roles in mind. You can explore rankings for each of the following categories:

Different Pokemon may succeed in different scenarios, so use these categories to help determine when a particular Pokemon would be the most valuable.

Within each ranking, you’ll see four separate detail sections:

  • Fast Moves – Which Fast Moves the Pokemon uses most in the league and category.
  • Charged Moves – Which Charged Moves the Pokemon uses most in the league and category.
  • Key Wins – Which battles the Pokemon performs best in, weighed by the opponent’s overall score.

Analyzing Eevee Evolutions In Pokemon Go: What Is The Best Eeveelution Out There

In eager anticipation of the upcoming Pokemon GO Eevee Community Day on August 11th and 12th, some of you may be wondering which of Eevees evolved forms would be best to invest in on the day if were given some means of controlling which one we get.

Well in this article we will compare all seven of Eevees current/imminent evolved forms with the top attackers of their respective types, as well as some speculations on why certain Eevolutions may be more useful than others in the future.

Many of you will undoubtedly be holding onto some high level and/or high IV Eevees ready for the two new Eevolutions that are coming in Gen 4: Leafeon and Glaceon. There is a chance that well get to evolve these during the Community Days in August, but the question is, would you actually be better prioritizing your best Eevee for Gen IV or Gen I III forms that we already have access to in Pokemon GO?

To answer that, lets look at their current places in the meta compared to other strong Pokémon that share their typing. Before we continue, lets just say that in every of the five types that the Eevee family covers, there are already better attackers available. But just how far behind these optimal attackers do the Eevolutions fall?

How do they fare against the Raid Bosses that they would most often face? Are they still useful for filling gaps in your WaterFireElectricPsychicDarkGrass and Ice type battle teams? Lets find out!

With so many evolutions to choose from, you want to make sure that you get your favorite – so let’s talk about how to evolve Eevee in Pokemon Go.

For our money, Eevee is one of the coolest Pokemon. It’s one of the cutest of the original Red/Blue/Green generation of Pokemon games, yes, and it’s just been promoted to starter status for Pokemon Let’s Go – but the coolest thing about Eevee is how it evolves. Eevee can evolve into more different Pokemon than any other species discovered so far – and of course that carries over to Pokemon Go.

What Does Shiny Eevee Look Like In Pokmon Go

How GOOD is GLACEON in PREMIER GO BATTLE LEAGUE ...

Community Days in Pokémon Go are, due to the increased spawn rate, the perfect opportunity to hunt down the shiny version of a Pokémon.

You’re far more likely to find a shiny version of the highlighted Pokémon on its Community Day – not only because the shiny rate will be higher, but catching more of the same type increases the likelihood of finding one too.

It’s easy to tell when you’ve found a shiny Pokemon because the encounter will begin with a flurry of stars, a ‘shiny’ icon will appear next to its name, and its colouring will be different.

Shiny Eevee isn’t new to the game – we’ve had an Eevee Community Day before, back in August 2018 – so chances are you’ve already seen these on your travels, or even got a few shinies yourself. But here’s a preview of all the shiny Eevees you can collect:

Thanks to VozMicke on reddit for the shiny Sylveon image above.

If you want to evolve a shiny Eevee and use that evolution for competitive reasons, we recommend waiting until the tailend of the Community Day to ensure you have one with the best IVs. You discover which is the best Eevee by searching your Pokémon collection using 3* and 4*.

Don’t forget – you have until 10am PDT / 6pm BST on Monday to earn the exclusive move via evolution. After that, you’ll have to use an Elite Charged TM.

Flare said:I think Glaceon is decent. I think it’s type is what keeps it down… perhaps some buffs on the Ice Type would help Glaceon.

You could use it in trick room but even then you have better options for slow ice types

It has low HP, defense, and speed. Let’s not forget that ****ty movepool. It’s coverage is like ice beam and shadow ball and not even any good defense or support moves to run reliably. It can’t take a hit or outspeed anything so yes it is terrible.

Best Eevee Evolutions Ranked

We ranked Eevees evolutions based on their statistics in raids, gym battles, clashes with Team GO Rocket grunts and other in-game skirmishes.

We also looked at each evolutions strengths and weaknesses against other Pokémon types.

Aside from hard-hitter Espeon, there are better Pokémon to use in player vs player matches. So we based our rankings on in-game combat, as thats where youre most likely to use your Eeveelutions.

But if you follow our tips and think about how the types of Pokémon the Eevee evolutions are weak or strong against, you can build an impressive pool of evolutions for your PvP team.

Of course, everyone has their favourite Eevee evolution. Many players have nurtured Jolteon, Leafeon and Umbreon to become key members of their battle team.

Eevee evolutions also live or die depending on the Pokémon type theyre battling, so even the lower-ranked evolutions can have their moment of glory.

If you dont agree with our choices, leave a comment and let us know why you think your favourite Eevee evolution is best.

How Do The Eevee Evolutions Do In Battle

For raiding, youll want Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. The best raid movesets for them are as follows:

  • Leafeon: Razor Leaf and Leaf Blade
  • Glaceon: Frost Breath and Avalanche
  • Sylveon: Charm and Dazzling Gleam

For PvP, youll want an Umbreon and Sylveon for the differing tiers. Their best movesets are as follows:

  • Umbreon: Snarl with Last Resort and Foul Play
  • Sylveon: Charm and Psyshock and Moonblast

You can also replace Last Resort on Umbreon with Psychic to win some matchups.

In contrast to the previous build, this build instead takes advantage of Glaceon’s high Defense and Special Defense to make a set that holds the line through enemy fire, then lashes out with its own barrage. Special attackers can be dispatched with Mirror Coat, while Freeze-Dry serves as its main weapon.

Its primary weak point is dealing with Special Defense tanks like Gyarados and Togekiss, who won’t keel over even after taking a super effective attack head-on. Try to avoid these matchups instead of falling prey to them.

About Glaceon’s EV Spread

The EVs here are organized to allow it to maximize the possible damage from Mirror Coat, placing 252 EVs in HP. On the Defense end, it’s got the numbers to survive a Fishious Rend from a Jolly Dracovish with a Choice Scarf, while on Special Defense it can survive an Overheat from Heat Rotom as long as it doesn’t have Choice Specs.

Its Special Attack stat won’t change regardless of if it has 76 or 80 EVs, so the remaining 4 have been placed in Speed so they don’t go to waste and allowing it to outspeed other Pokemon with a base 65 Speed.

Other Viable Moves

Prevents opponents from using Glaceon to set up. When used together with Mirror Coat, Max Mindstorm can overwrite Electric Terrain and Misty Terrain to prevent negating Yawn’s effects.
