In the latest Pokemon Go Update, it was announced that the upcoming Luminous Legends X event will see many new Pokemon making their Pokémon Go debut. Some of these are the Dragon and Fairy-type Pokémon, such as Spritzee, Swirlix, and Goomy. This could be the chance for the players to get their hands on some of the rarest Pokemon including Pokemon Go Goodra . The event starts on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. and will run till Monday, May 17, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Here are the details about this event:

Pokemon Go: Best Fire

Fire-types are often widely beloved by fans, and the best Fire-types are nothing but abundant. You have a ton of choices when looking for a good Fire-type Pokemon, especially with how many Legendaries, Starters, and Mega Evolutions sport the type and great offensive prowess.

The current reigning is Mega Charizard Y, though its grip on the top spot is shaky, with Mega Blaziken looming just around the corner, ready to pounce and take its place. One of a handful of Pokemon to reach a TDO over 1,000 , M-Charizard Y is going to really tear through the competition. Keep X to being a Dragon-type attacker, and let Y take up the Fire-type mantle of the family.

Shadow Moltres, which also suffers from that double Rock-weakness, surpasses Mega Charizard X in terms of DPS, but only slightly, and falls behind on TDO. Despite this, it’s one of the best Pokemon in the game, and will absolutely dominate as either a Fire-type or a Flying-type dealer’s choice.

I Need Those Pokmon How Can I Get Them

There is an abundance of methods that you can follow in order to begin catching Dragon-type Pokémon for your collection of loveable Pokémon. Firstly, the main method is to look for the particular set of Pokémon on particularly windy , gusty, or foggy days when more players have mentioned being able to catch Dragon Pokémon on days like these. However, always take care and be safe when going out on windy days, never put yourself in risky areas, your safety comes first.

Confirmed places of Dragon-type spawn locations are areas such as landmarks, cities, and parks. Along with this, players have noted it can be quite difficult to find this type of Pokémon but with determination and preparation, you will be sure to collect them quickly!

Another method to catch the Pokémon is to trade with your friends for the ones they have already caught. In order to do this, meet up with your friend and be in at least 100 meters of them, afterwards navigate to the trading screen by pressing on your trainer profile. How To Find Pokmon And Use Radars In Pokmon Go

After removing the buggy three-step method shortly after the game’s launch, Pokémon Go was swiftly updated with Sightings and Nearby trackers. It’s available by tapping the list of creatures in the bottom right corner of the main map screen.

This is similar to the original three-step radar, allowing you to see Pokémon in the local vicinity without knowing the distance or approximate location. It usually appears when no PokéStops are close by, and while you can’t narrow down a location using this, it gives you a broad indication of what is nearby somewhere, if you want to take a little stroll in the hope you might stumble into something.

This in-game radar shows you where specific Pokémon are located relative to PokéStops. Select the Pokémon you want, and you will get a close up view of the Pokéstop. Tap again, and the map will zoom out and show you the route to that stop.

Pokémon will spawn fairly close by to the stop, and usually not right on top of it, so if it doesn’t appear straight away, try and walk around a little until it appears.

Also note that creatures tend to spawn for about 20 minutes before disappearing – so if you spot something you want, be sure to head over and get it sooner than later.

Note if something you’re tracking disappears it doesn’t mean it’s gone just yet – we’ve had some success turning up at a Stop a minute or two after the message, and our desired creature was still lurking.

Where To Find Pokmon From Spawn Locations And Biomes

As mentioned, Pokémon are more like to spawn in certain locations than others – water Pokémon spawning near coasts, rivers and canals is an easy-to-understand example of this.

It’s important to note that there’s no guarantee you’ll find those types at such locations, nor are these types exclusive to these places – it just might increase their chances of being there. The opposite is true – water Pokémon can appear in the middle of a park, miles away from water.

You may also notice specific types of Pokémon appearing in one location over and over, and the community has come to describe these spawn points as ‘biomes’. In theory, the same groups of Pokémon will spawn in the same radius – the radius being a small point, or a large area.

Biomes aren’t easy to spot and categorise, and the best way to learn the types of biomes near you is to simply observe them over time using the Nearby radar. It’s not an exact science, but this post on the Silph Road Reddit by Shiranui85 goes into greater detail, and even attempts to provide specific examples of different creatures that could spawn together.

This is also not to be confused with the concept of Pokémon nests, which are regularly rotating hordes of creatures within a particular patch, like a park.

That said, the below list of real-world locations can help narrow down the types that should appear there. Again, it’s not exact or guaranteed, but should give you an idea of what to expect if you’re exploring.

How To Catch Psychic Pokemon In Pokemon Go

Psychic-type Pokemon such as Abra can sometimes be found in grassy areas, but that’s pretty uncommon in general. Some also show up in residential areas but seemingly only at night. A better place to more reliably find them is in and around hospitals – the equipment there seems to attract them or something.

There’s 14 psychic-type Pokemon in the original 151 Pokemon that feature in Pokemon Go, including Abra, Kadabra, Alakazam, Drowzee, Hypno, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Slowpoke, Slowbrow Jynx, Mr. Mime, Mewtwo and Mew. Some of these can be obtained by evolution, and it’s unlikely Mewtwo or Mew will ever simply be found out in the wild, since they’re Legendary Pokemon.

How To Get Dragon Scales In Pokemon Go

A Dragon Scale is an item in Pokémon GO that can be used with Pokémon candy to evolve Gen 1 Pokémon to Gen 2 Pokémon evolutions. In previous games, Dragon Scales could be held in battle to make dragon-type moves more powerful. In Pokémon GO, The Dragon Scale can be used to evolve a Seadra into Kingdra.

Evolution items are very rare in Pokémon GO and only have a 1% chance to be rewarded to Pokémon trainers at Pokéstops. But now, evolution items can also be rewarded to Pokemon trainers who have completed a seven day Pokéstop streak. This means that if all evolution items have an equal chance of being rewarded, Pokemon trainers have a one-in-nine chance of earning a Dragon Scale once a week if they use a Pokéstop once a day. They can also be received as a gift, or earned by completing part six of the special research A Ripple in Time.

Stock up on Pokéballs at a Pokéstop and raise the odds of catching a Seadra by traveling to a body of water. Once a Seadra is caught, collect 100 horsea candies and use the Dragon Scale to evolve the Seadra into a much stronger Kingdra. Three candies can be earned each time a Horsea is caught, and bonus candy can be earned by using berries while catching Horseas or in the gym. It can also be earned by walking with a Horsea Buddy Pokemon, hatching eggs, or transferring Pokémon. Compared to Seadra, Kingdra gains a dragon type and is the final evolution of Horsea.

Pokemon Go: The Best Dark

When you’re going up against Psychic-type raids, like Mewtwo, Cresselia, or the Lake Guardians, Dark-types will often fill out your roster for some of the best counters. Dark also serves as a fantastic check on Ghost-types, since Ghost’s only other weakness is itself, meaning it’ll counter… your counters… so Dark is probably best in a vacuum. Unfortunately, Ghost-types have some better moves available, so when choosing Dark or Ghost for a raid against a Psychic-type, it will really depend on the context.

Mega Houndoom is a fantastic choice. Its secondary Fire-typing gives it some utility against Steel-types, as well as one of Dark’s weaknesses, Bug . While its DPS rating is basically on par with Mega Absol’s, it’ll stick around longer, making it better for TDO. It’s fairly future-proof, too, with only Mega Tyranitar, and Hoopa Unbound posing any imminent threats to its throne. Even then, it’ll outclass M-Tyra in pure DPS.

Darkrai is a great contender amongst Dark-types, blasting in with a TDO over 400 with all Dark-type moves, compared to 302.2 for Shadow Honchkrow and 383.4 for Shadow Weavile. However, it sits behind Shadow Tyranitar and Mega Houndoom. If you’re going up against Psychic-types, Darkrai does better with Shadow Ball than Dark Pulse in both DPS and TDO, but it’s up to you.

Given that it probably wouldn’t be very wise to go climbing into a volcano in search of Pokemon, matching the original games in terms of Fire-type Pokemon’s habitat is difficult. Instead in Pokemon Go you’ll find fire-type Pokemon in residential areas and neighbourhoods, and they’ll be more common in warmer places – be that places that have a naturally more dry climate or on the sand at the beach.

Even in your house, Normal-type Pokemon should be fairly freely available.

How To Catch Ghost Pokemon In Pokemon Go

There aren’t many Ghost type Pokemon in Pokemon Go, but those there are like Ghastly are damn cool. Ghost-types seem to show up occasionally around churches, but they’ve also been reported to show up in built-up residential areas such as parking lots at night.

There’s only 3 ghost types in Pokemon Go’s 151 initial Pokemon, and they’re all in the same evolutionary line: Gastly, Haunter and Gengar. If you manage to catch a Gastly, it’ll be possible to get all three Ghost-type Pokemon simply through evolution – though more are likely to come soon.

Only 1 ghost-type Pokemon was added in the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update: Misdreavus.

Pokemon Go: Best Psychic

Ah, Psychic what a fun type to look at in Pokemon GO. It once ruled the meta in Gen I before they nerfed it with the addition of the Dark-type in the Johto games, and while not as egregious, it still dominates in GO, too. This is thanks to two of the best Pokemon in the entire game, Mewtwo and Metagross, finding their homes in the Psychic-typing. Mewtwo, in particular, is comically good, as we’ll see here.

The top two Psychic attackers are Shadow Mewtwo and… regular Mewtwo. They’ll be displaced one day, though, by Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y. Well, at least it’s easy to remember. Looking for something other than these four, even if it has low DPS but still-ridiculous TDO? Consider Armored Mewtwo!

Should you have trouble finding a Mewtwo or a Shadow Mewtwo, you aren’t out options, though, as Metagross is one of the other best Pokemon in the game, and it’s a Psychic-type as well. Regular Metagross has been pushed down the list a bit by Shadow Pokemon, but it also received a Shadow form, making it one of the highest-reaching attackers in the entire game. With a DPS of 20.02 and TDO of just below a thousand, Shadow Metagross isn’t going to be stopped by much. The only issue with Psychic-attacker Metagross is that it has better use elsewhere. With a Steel-type moveset, Shadow Metagross launches itself even further up the charts, so it’s better to opt for that and leave the Psychic-type attacks to Mewtwo and the rest of the gang.

Water Pokemon such as the amazing Slowpoke can predictably be found in places where you’ll also find water. If you live near a river, stream, lake or the like, you’ll find lots of them there. Likewise for other water-heavy areas such as harbours or the beach.

There’s 32 water-type Pokemon in the original 151 Pokemon that feature in Pokemon Go. That includes: Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Psyduck, Golduck, Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Tentacool, Tentacruel, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Seel, Dewgong, Shellder, Cloyster, Krabby, Kingler, Horsea, Seadra, Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops, Goldeen, Seaking, Staryu, Starmie, Magikarp, Gyarados, Lapras and Vaporeon – though some of these will only be available via evolution.

How To Catch Ice Pokemon In Pokemon Go

Much as with Fire Pokemon, the need to actually go somwehere icy to catch Ice-type Pokemon has thankfully been left out of Pokemon Go. Instead you’ll find ice-types in grassy areas occasionally and near bodies of water more often than that. You’ll of course also find them anywhere there’s actual snow and ice if you happen to live close to anywhere that fits the bill.

There’s 5 ice-type Pokemon in the original 151 that are in Pokemon Go: Jynx, Dewgong, Cloyster, Lapras and Articuno. Legendary Articuno is unlikely to be found out in the wild.

5 ice-type Pokemon were added in the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update. That includes: Sneasel, Swinub, Piloswine, Delibird, Smoochum.

Pokemon Go: The Best Bug

Overall, Bug isn’t the best type. Sure, it has its uses, especially in terms of taking down Psychic- and Dark-types from time to time, but both of those types have other weaknesses that are home to Pokemon that are much stronger. With that said, Bug-types can find some niche use here and there.

Mega Beedrill is far and away the best Bug-type, without question. However, even with its best Bug-type moveset of Bug Bite and X-Scissor, its DPS still falls behind. With a monster max Attack stat of 303, though, it’s worth paying attention to, especially with its low evolution cost from Weedle and Kakuna.

For the rest of the ranking, you’re looking at the same familiar faces that dominate the Bug-type in the main series. There are no surprises here, to be sure. Pinsir and Scizor both do very well, whether in their boosted Shadow forms or just the vanilla forms. When their Mega Evolutions are released, they’ll be pretty great, though they may not take down Mega Beedrill.

Genesect has a fun gimmick with its different Drives, but sadly none of them add much value. It’s best as a Bug- or Steel-type, with the moves to match. The different Techno Blast types can have their use in the PvP meta, but they aren’t that great in PvE. As far as Bug-types go, if you’re looking for something that isn’t Shadow or Mega Evolved, Genesect is the best.
