Raid Hour In Pokemon Go

Instant Level 50 Douse Drive Genesect & Raids in Pokemon GO

Raid Hour occurs in Pokemon Go every week on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the Raid Hour begins from 6 PM to 7 PM local time. During this time period, legendary Pokemon will begin to appear much more frequently in raids, making it the perfect time to collect these elusive creatures. Now with Remote Raid Passes, players can participate from the safety of their own homes. Hopefully, once the situation around COVID-19 is a problem of the past, players will be allowed to participate in Raid Battles in person once again.

Pokemon Go is still an extremely fun and addictive game even though it released back in 2016. There is no experience quite like fusing the real-world and Pokemon hunting into one experience. Not only is it fun, but it makes for some excellent exercise. The game even keeps tracks of the number of steps the player takes during the week and rewards them with in-game items. New Pokemon generations are introduced to the game every few months. Currently, the fifth generation of Pokemon has been introduced to the game, allowing trainers to capture creatures like Snivy or Tepig. With more Pokemon generations to introduce in the future, the game still has a long life ahead of it.

Pokemon Go is available now on iOS and Android.

Pokmon Go: Current Raid Battles

While you can catch plenty of Pokémon in the wild and hatch plenty of Pokémon in Eggs in Pokémon Go, Raid Battles are where you get some of the best and most powerful Pokémon in the game. While some of the Raid bosses are common and weak, Raids are also one of few ways to encounter Legendary Pokémon, Mega Pokémon, and certain rare species.

Which Pokémon, you ask? Well, the line-up changes pretty often. Each new event brings new and different Raid Bosses, and Niantic frequently changes them up just for fun. Lucky for you, weve got the whole list right here, and be sure to chek out our best Pokémon Go accessories so youre fully equipped on your Pokémon Journey!

Tips For Battling Suicune

Suicune is a pure Water-type, which makes putting together a team of counters fairly easy. Water Pokemon are vulnerable to Grass and Electric Pokemon, so you’ll want to use as many of those types as possible when challenging the Legendary. Magnezone, Luxray, Electivire, Leafeon, and Roserade should all prove to be effective against Suicune however, you’ll need to be careful when using Grass-types, as Water Pokemon typically know Ice-type attacks that hit them for super-effective damage.

While Dragon Pokemon don’t have a type advantage over Water Pokemon, they do resist Water attacks, which makes them a good option for rounding out your team. However, Fire, Rock, and Ground Pokemon all have a significant disadvantage against Water-types, so you should avoid using those when challenging Suicune.

How Can You Prepare For A Raid Hour On Pokmon Go

If youd like to avoid spending coins to buy Raid Passes, make sure to spin a Photo Disk at a Gym to claim a free daily Raid Pass. Even if you dont attend, stacking these passes can prove to be useful when you dont get a chance to visit Gyms at later dates.

Preparing your Battle Party is another important aspect to beat the raids. Knowing what type of Pokémon youll be facing during a Raid Hour will help you put together a lineup that will heavily counter the bosses. You can check out who youll be facing during a Raid Hour through the games Fandom Wiki page or its social media channels.

Even if you have a lineup thats powerful enough to take on a Raid, going into a Raid Hour with friends will always be better to guarantee your victory. Raid Hours feature Pokémon that are tougher to beat than regular Raids, and youll need all the help you can get.

Since Raid Hours kick off based on local time, itll also be a decent idea to double-check whether your phone automatically detects your timezone. If you travel frequently, this setting will prevent you from accidentally waiting a couple of hours for a Raid Hour to start.

Connection stability is also another key factor during Raids. Youll most likely be on your feet, and a Wi-Fi connection may get weaker as you walk away from the source. Choosing cellular data for Raid Hour can be a more stable choice as your connection quality should stay around the same levels as you walk around the field.

What Else Do You Get For Beating A Raid Boss

In addition to bragging rights, you also get a number of items as rewards. The higher the Raid Tier, the more rewards, so you might only get two or three items for a Tier 1, but over a dozen for a Tier 2.

  • Revives: Usually many. Too many, in fact.
  • Rare Candy: Usable on any Pokémon.
  • Fast TM: Let you change the Fast Move on a Pokémon.
  • Charge TM: Let you change the Charge Move on a Pokémon.
  • Golden Razz Berries: Improve your odds of catching a Pokémon.
  • Premiere Balls: What you use to try to catch the Raid Boss.

So far, Revives have had the highest drop rates by far and TMs the lowest. You can get additional Premiere Balls for things like the Gym being under your teams control and doing the most damage.

Zygarde Is Coming Soon

On December 3, 2020, Niantic released a trailer announcing that more PokéBalls will be available from PokéStops for the holiday period. However, the final frame of this video shows new Pokémon from the Kalos region.

As you can see, Zygarde is clearly coming to the game soon, as every other Pokémon in the shot is available now. As the video has a holiday theme, we expect them to appear soon.

The likelihood is that they will be available in raids, like most other Legendary Pokémon, but well update this page with all the information when we know for sure.

Now, well answer a bunch of questions you may have regarding Pokémon Go raids.

Pokemon Go December 2021 Events: Raids Christmas Event And More

Here are all the biggest events happening in the Pokemon mobile game this month.

Pokemon Go is capping the year off with a variety of events in December.

We’re halfway through December, and Pokemon Go is closing out the year with a variety of events and activities. Over the next few days, players have new legendary raids, Spotlight Hours and more to look forward to, as well as the game’s annual Christmas event and the new Season of Heritage. Here are all the biggest events happening in Pokemon Go in December 2021.

How Do I Catch Raid Bosses

MY FIRST EVER ZEKROM RAIDS IN POKEMON GO – Pokemon GO

Even with the maximum possible number of premier balls at your disposal, youre still not guaranteed to catch the Pokémon especially if its a legendary at tier five. If you want to significantly increase your chances, youre going to need to use a golden razz berry.

Fortunately, golden razz berries are a reward for defeating raid bosses in the first place, so if you raid often you should have plenty on you to increase the chances of capturing the boss.

Heres a round-up of other things you can do to increase your chances of catching a difficult raid boss:

  • Throw a curveball by spinning the Poké ball before you throw it
  • Get an excellent throw by landing the Poké ball within the circle when its small
  • Get medals for the type of Pokémon youre aiming to catch

How Do Remote Raids Work

You can do raids, even if youre not within their range if you use a Remote Raid Pass. As long as you can see the raid or access it from the raid menu, you can complete it with a Remote Raid Pass. You can also invite friends or be invited to raids, even if youre not even close to the area. Doing raids this way also requires a Remote Raid Pass.

Keep in mind that any players remotely battling in raids does less damage, so it may take more remote players to complete a raid than it normally would.

Remote Raid Passes are given out for free from events sometimes, but you can also buy them in the shop for 100 coins each.

How To Do A Pokemon Go Raid

Pokemon Go raids are found exclusively at gyms, which are the much taller Pokestops youll see in towns and cities. No matter which team has control of a gym, anyone can partake in a raid when it appears, indicated by a coloured egg on top. This will be accompanied by a timer, counting down from one hour, so Pokemon Go communities have enough preparation time to get players together to take it down.

Tapping on the egg icon in the corner, while looking at the gym, will reveal how difficult it is. The amount of monster faces above the egg represents the level of the gym, as does the colour. Level one raids will always be pink, level three raids are yellow, while level five raids are purple with white stripes.

To do the Pokemon Go raid, you simply have to be at the respective gym within the 45 minutes after the egg hatches. As long as you have a Raid Pass which is given out for free once per day at your first Gym PokeStop spin of the day you can have a shot at taking down the raid boss. If you want to do more than one raid per day, you can pick up Premium Raid Passes from the in-game store for 100 coins apiece.

Other Pokemon Go Bonuses

In addition to the Suicune Raid Day, Niantic has made a few other bonuses available in Pokemon Go as rewards for completing the latest batch of Global Challenges. From August 13-20, you’ll earn triple the normal amount of Stardust for each Pokemon you capture or hatch. You’ll also receive 3,000 Stardust for participating in Raids, and any Star Pieces you use during the week will last for an hour rather than 30 minutes.

How To Join A Remote Raid

My First and Last Ex Raid

To join a remote raid, you need a Remote Raid pass on Pokémon Go. First stay online in Pokémon Go app, add the host as a friend if they are still not your friend and wait for the remote raid invitation from the Pokémon Go trainer who hosts the raid. Once the invitation is received you will be notified from app. Click on the invitation and then use your remote raid pass to join the raid remotely. There is no distance restriction to join a remote raid. You can join a remote raid anywhere in the world as long as you have an invitation to join.

How To Win Raids In Pokmon Go

Here is a step-by-step breakdown of how Raid encounters work:

1) When a Raid is about to happen, an Egg will appear at the Gym with a countdown .

2) After it hatches, the Gym will turn into a Raid, you will have one hour until the Boss disappears. Up to 20 players can form a group, though you can venture in with just a few of you if you like.

3) After spending a Raid Pass you will wait in a lobby, in which time you can change your team and other players can match make with you. You have to defeat the boss within five minutes. Like regular Gym fights, you can take six creatures in with you. If you aren’t successful, you can retreat and use Potions and Revives on your team and try again as many times as you like until the hour is up without spending another pass.

4) If you are successful, you’ll receive rewards and a chance to catch the creature using Premier Balls.

5) When the hour is up, all creatures originally assigned will return and the Gym will resume it’s prior state.

If you want beat the above, remember that:

How To Get Tauros During Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto

For those playing in most of the United States, you may be wondering why we are writing a guide on how to catch Tauros in Pokémon Go. The reason for this is that Tauros is a regional exclusive to most of the United States, similar to how Mr. Mime is to Europe and such. With the Pokémon Go Tour Kanto going on, all of the regionals from Kanto are being made available around the world, including Tauros. These Pokémon will only be able to be found in raids, so this guide will go over the best counters and tell you just how to catch Tauros.

What Are Legendary Raid Hours In Pokmon Go

A feature originally introduced in June 2019, Legendary Raid Hours are a weekly event in which virtually all Gyms are taken over by the current Legendary raid boss. Unlike normal raids, these raids last for the entire hour. These are still Legendary raids, meaning they require multiple players, so players are encouraged to team up for the hour so they can move from Gym to Gym until they’ve exhausted their Raid Passes or the hour is complete. If it isn’t safe in your area to coordinate with a team, you can still participate using Remote Raid Passes and an online team.

Raid Cycles: How Often Do They Happen And Reset

My First Ever Mega Absol Raids in Pokemon GO

Raid Battles in Pokémon Go have two types of cycles, the time between new spawns and the variety of Pokémon that appear.

It takes one hour for an egg to hatch when it appears above a Gym. When it does hatch, trainers will only have 45 minutes to catch the boss Pokémon. When one Raid Battle ends, that Gym will not have another spawn for a few hours, but another Gym nearby will begin the hour-long countdown.

As for what Pokémon appear in Raid Battles, those normally changed with every new event or update. In April, the Kanto event focused on Gen 1 Pokémon, so trainers could find some of the original 150 in Raid Battles.Be sure to check the official Pokémon Go for news on upcoming updates and events. Also, the Silph Road subreddit is a great tool for discovering when Pokémon Go changes Raid Battles, what hatches from eggs and everything else about the popular mobile game.

How To Get More Premier Balls In Pokmon Go

During the capture phase, you’ll be given a number of Premier Balls, which are the only means to catch the creature. The number of Premier Balls you receive depend on a number of factors, but expect between about five and a dozen to play with:

  • Defeating the boss
  • Damage inflicted
  • Gym Control
  • Speed bonus – the faster the raid boss is defeated, the more rewards you receive
  • Raiding with Friends

It’s important to note that if you’re battling in a Mega Raid, the Speed Bonus will reward you with more Mega Energy rather than Premier Balls.

In short, having the Gym on your team and inflicting more damage will see you have a better chance. It’s also worth remembering you can also use Berries during the encounter too, so stockpile those Golden Razz Berries – they may come in handy here for the tier 5 beasts.

If you run out of Premier Balls, the boss will flee.

Originally there was also a ‘Team Contribution’ element to the distribution of Premier Balls, with the Team, Mystic for example, that caused the most damage to the raid boss being rewarded with more Premier Balls. With the introduction of Mega Evolutions, however, this was replaced with the Speed Bonus.
