What Level To Trade In Pokemon Go

Add Trainers To Your Friends List

Now Live, How to Trade with Level 40 players in Pokemon Go!

Interacting with other players in Pokémon Go often requires you to add them to your friends list, and this is no different when it comes to trading. Depending on the level of friendship that you have with the player you are trading with, you may receive extra bonuses, such as the opportunity to have the traded Pokémon become Lucky, which will allow it to grow much faster. Adding friends requires access to your Trainer Code, which can be found by accessing the Friends section of the character menu, then tapping Add Friend.

Unfortunately for players, Pokémon Go only allows friends within 100 meters to trade with one another, though this distance is occasionally lengthened during specific events.

What Is The Maximum Trade Distance

The Pokemon Go game only offers users to trade their Pokemon with other players within the 100 meters or 300 feet radius. However, the game increases the max distance to trade in Pokemon GO during specific events or holidays. The Pokemon GO trading range is small, which is why you can quickly bypass the restrictions by applying the solutions mentioned in the next half of the article.

Kyogre Master League Pvp

Kyogre is a Legendary Water Type Pokemon with a max CP of 4652 at Level 50. Hailing from the Hoenn region , Kyogre tops the chart as one of the best Water Type Pokemon in Go Battle Master League due to its insane Max CP and a very good overall stat. While, most other Pokemon have always been in and out of the META in the Go Battle League, Kyogre is only one of the few Pokemon to have consistently stayed close to top. All this, without any exclusive move whatsoever.

So, if Kyogre doesnt have any exclusive moves, why bother Lucky Trade it? Well, simply because Kyogre has a lot of room to power it up due to its insanely high Max CP, which crosses the 4000 mark. The benefit here which trainers might look forward to gain is the reduced Stardust cost while powering it up, and maintaining a really decent IV mark even if its a Shiny Kyogre. So, if your PvP team lacks a great Water-Type Pokemon, Kyogre is one of your best shot!

Ugh Does Friendship Level Affect Any Other Part Of A Pokmon Trade

It does. Certain Pokémon can only be traded at higher friendship level.

The higher your level of friendship with someone, the less it costs to actually participate in the trade. Every trade requires spending a certain amount of stardust, which you only have so much of so its good to work on befriending folks, because youll want to save up that stardust for the real prizes.

The good news is that the most basic, standard trade only requires spending 100 stardust, which is super doable.

These are the stardust discounts you get based on your friendship level:

  • Ultra Friend: 92 percent discount
  • Best Friend: 96 percent discount

A Redditor named AshmediaiHel came up with a handy graphic that boils down specific costs and bonuses for each kind of trade. Check that out below.

How To Save Your Stardust

Trading isnt free. Itll cost you Stardust, the currency you earn for completing raids, catching Pokémon, winning gym battles, and the like. The cost is variable, depending on your friendship level with the person youre trading with and the kind of Pokémon you want to trade.

A Pokémon you already have in your Pokédex costs the least Pokémon you havent caught before, Shiny Pokémon, and Legendary Pokémon can cost more , and they have their own special requirements.

The incentive to increase your level of friendship with other people is that it greatly reduces your Stardust costs for trading . It can also hugely reduce the costs of certain trades with friends, so put the time in and send those gifts to bring up your Friendship level if you hope to be trading the best Pokémon.

Pokmon Go: Can You Trade Back Pokmon

Pokémon GO allows players to trade Pokémon, which effectively transfers them to other players. Is there any way to get them back later, though?

One of the staple features of Pokémon GO is that of trading. Players are allowed to send their Pokémon over to a friend in real-time, usually in order to help them complete their Pokédex or increase the odds of receiving a Lucky Pokémon. Many players have raised the question, though, of what can be done after that. Is it possible for one Pokémon to be traded multiple times in Pokémon GO?

Trading is a relatively straightforward process, though its worth noting that it is required to be done in-person. Players who want to trade with their Pokémon GO friends just have to stand close enough to another player on their Friend List and hit the Trade button, which will then prompt each player to select a Pokémon to be exchanged. While some trades are more expensive than others for example, in the case of Legendary or Shiny Pokémon but for the most part the process remains the same.

Pokmon Go Special Trades Explained

In trading, not all Pokémon are weighted equally. They are classed under two types:

Standard Pokémon Trades:

  • Forms you don’t have in your Pokédex
  • Any other Pokémon not in your Pokédex that isn’t Legendary or Shiny

Special Trades:

It should be reiterated that Mythical Pokémon – such as Mew – cannot be traded under any circumstances.

Standard and Special Trade differences

There are two main differences with Standard and Special Trades. For one, you can only do one Special Trade per day, with anyone. This resets at the same time PokéStops and Research quests do .

The other is the Stardust cost. This is where things get a little more complicated. If you are trading Legendaries and Shinies you both own, the cost is the same as a Standard Pokémon you don’t own, such as a regional or a Unown form. But if one of you don’t have a Legendary or Shiny in a trade, then the cost jumps up massively.

To round off the end of the year is the Holidays 2021 event, the Season of Heritage, the Stardust Challenge and a refreshed Go Battle League.Ongoing are Arlo, Cliff, Sierra counters and Giovanni counters.Other major updates in the past year include a level cap increase, the introduction of XL Candy, boosts to some XP sources and the addition of Platinum Medals.

What Is The Pokemon Go Trading Distance

As mentioned before, you can trade Pokemon with fellow games using the Pokemon GO platforms. However, the game doesnt allow you to trade with virtually anyone. A term called the Pokemon GO trade distance enables you to sell or purchase Pokemon with other players within a specific distance. Outside that distance, you can not trade any Pokemon.

Moreover, it is vital to remember that you have to be a level 10 or above trainer to enable/unlock the trading feature on Pokemon GO. Additionally, you can not trade specific Pokemon, such as Mew, with any fellow player.

Cool Are There Any Pokmon I Cant Trade

There are two major restrictions. You cant trade any mythical monsters, which only includes Mew in the game thus far and you cant trade away any Pokémon that you received in a trade. Once your friend gives you one of their Pokémon, its yours or its no ones.

Three more quick notes: You must be at least level 10 to trade. Hopefully youve reached that by now, since Pokémon Gos been out for nearly two years now. The Pokémon you want to trade must be revived. And you have to be at least age 13 in order to trade, for safety reasons.

Special Trades And Limitations

  • Legendary Pokémon
  • Pokémon with forms not already in your Pokédex
  • Trading is only available for Trainers that are Level 10 or above.
  • Certain Pokémon cannot be traded. Mythical Pokémon and Pokémon that have previously been traded once before cannot be traded.

In honor of giving away one of your monsters, youll get additional candy from a complete trade. The amount is based on the distance between where the trade is taking place and where the Pokémon was caught. So if you caught your Pikachu all the way in London but you live in New York City, youll be getting the maximum of three candy.

You can also potentially get a Lucky Pokémon, which you can only receive through exchanging one with a friend.

Ivs Change When You Trade

Almost certainly to discourage cheaters, Pokémon traded in Go get a change to their IVs and stats. This prevents players from “selling” 100% IV Pokémon, while the limits on Trading prevent players from constantly “rerolling” for better IVs.

However, the higher your Friendship level, the higher potential IV you can get from a Trade. This, along with the reduced Stardust cost encourages Trading between actual friends.

Will I Be Able To Check My Friends Pokmons Combat Stats Before Agreeing To Trade Mine For It

The funny thing is that a Pokémons stats are scrambled once its involved in a trade. Depending on the level of friendship you have with the person youre trading with, the stats are tweaked to be more or less than they originally were. This is a good incentive to putting friendship-building near the top of your priorities.

Your Pokémon will know the moves it would ordinarily know at its level in Generation 8 the moves it has in Pokémon Go are irrelevant. However, your IVs will roughly match those of your Pokémon. Defense and Special Defense are taken from your Stamina statistic in Pokémon Go, Attack and Special Attack from your original Attack stat, and HP will roughly match HP. Speed is not a statistic in Pokémon Go, therefore this is entirely randomised.

Your Pokémon will also get a nature and ability, as these do not exist in Pokémon Go either.

HOW TO GET EASY 100% IV’s IN POKEMON GO (TRADING EXPLAINED)

From Pokémon Go:

If you’re near a friend and have a Trainer Level of 10 or higher, you can trade Pokémon you’ve caught with that friend. Completing a trade earns a bonus Candy for the Pokémon you’ve traded away, and that bonus can increase if the Pokémon you traded were caught in locations far apart from each other! All trades are powered by Stardust, and some trades require more Stardust than others. As you build your Friendship Level with the friend you are trading with, you’ll find that you can complete the trade with much less Stardust.

Certain Pokémon, such as a Legendary Pokémon, a Shiny Pokémon, or a Pokémon not currently in your Pokédex, require a Special Trade to complete, so keep that in mind before trading away that golden Magikarp! Special Trades can only occur once per day with a Great Friend or Best Friend, and it often requires a lot of Stardust to complete a Special Trade. Special Trades are a great way to show a friend how much you care!

How To Trade Pokemons

So, now that you know the guidelines to start trading, letâs discuss how you can trade items in Pokemon Go.

First of all, make sure that youâre friends with the target trainer for at least one day and youâve already exchanged a gift with them as well. After this, get within 100 meters of distance or set a fake location and follow the below-mentioned steps to start trading.

Step 1: Go to the âFriendsâ tab in Pokemon Go and select the friend with whom you want to trade.

Step 2: Click the âTradeâ button and ask your friend to follow the same procedure as well.

Step 3: At this point, Pokemon Go will establish a connection between the two of you. Once youâre successfully connected, select the Pokemon that you want to trade. Keep in mind for each trade, youâll have to give away a cost in the form of Stardust. The cost will vary for each Pokemon and youâll see it after selecting the Pokemon.

Step 4: Once the trade is successfully completed, youâll receive candies, based on the Pokemon you traded.

You can follow the same procedure to trade a variety of Pokemon in the game. However, the stardust cost will vary for each Pokemon.

Trading In Pokemon Go

How do you trade Pokemon in Pokemon Go?

Trading only becomes available once both you and the friend you are trading with are at trainer level 10 .

To get started with the updated trading interface, tap your head / trainer name icon in the lower-left corner, then navigate to the Friends tab. Tap a friend’s name and then you can choose the Trade interface found in the lower-right corner.

Stardust trading costs are absurdly astronomical for Pokemon that you don’t already have in your Pokedex but they drop off by massive levels as you increase in friendship level with another player.

Trading and checking friendship level

This artificially high cost structure keeps the trading economy from immediately toppling over and going nuts so everyone can’t immediately trade the strongest, highest level Pokemon back and forth to each other.

The traded Pokemon’s level, HP, and CP also drop to be commensurate with your player level when trading, so you can’t fill up on ultra strong Pokemon just by trading.

The minimum stat level of the traded Pokemon is also influenced by your friendship level with the other player, so the higher your friendship, the better the Pokemon will be when it arrives in your Pokedex.

Keep in mind that the same Pokemon can only be traded once, so you can’t chain them repeatedly through multiple trades and will have to catch new ones instead. Trading also impacts medals, so for instance tiny Rattata will get you closer to the Youngster medal, while XL Magikarps get you closer to the Fisherman medal.

How Much Stardust Does Trading Cost

It varies depending on the Pokémon and the friendship level between the two players making the trade. Some Pokémon like Pikachu and Squirtle can be Traded between Best Friends for tiny amounts of Stardust 100.

Special Trades, which involve Legendary, Shiny, and new , are another story. They could start at one million Stardust with a Good Friend. Yes 1,000,000! The 1,000,000 number is just for new friends. Once you work your way up to best friends you can trade a Legendary, Shiny, or New-for-you Pokémon for “just” 40,000 Stardust.

Friendship Level is fundamental to Trading as each increase to your level gets you a discount.

  • Good Friend 0% Stardust discount
  • Great Friend 20% Stardust discount
  • Ultra Friend 92% Stardust discount
  • Best Friend 96% Stardust discount
