Regional Variants That Are Also Shiny
Regional variants, such as Alolan Vulpix, are extremely rare on their own, but their shinies are even harder to find. This makes them extremely rare and coveted. Having a regional variant thats also a shiny proves how dedicated a player is in their journey to catch em all.
Focusing on just Alolan Forms, there are 18 Pokemon that fit the description, all of which are available in the mobile game. These alternatives are already quite rare, and that scarcity is only worsened when it comes to their shinies. When it comes to Galarian Forms, more than 10 have been introduced to Pokemon Go.

Rarest Pokemon In Pokemon Go: Regionals
To the chagrin of many, one of Niantics most controversial decisions was to introduce regional Pokemon in Pokemon GO. These are mons that can only be caught in certain parts of the world, some of them entire hemispheres and some of them single countries.
Any regional Pokemon that resides in a region other than a particular trainer will, of course, be very rare to that person. Luckily, regionals sometimes swap locations during special events, and they can be traded.

While there arent any tricks on how to get a Shiny Pokemon, there are events that have boosted Shiny rates that might get you an encounter with a Shiny Pokemon. One of those events is the Community Day event, where the Shiny rate increases to 1 in 25, instead of 1 in 500. This event happens only once a month, for a few hours.
The Shiny rates are subject to change, but here are the current ones.

Every Trade Tells A Story
One thing I started to notice as my journey progressed and I passed the 60 shiny mark, was that I could really tell a lot about the kind of trainer who had sent me a Pokémon by the nickname they had given it.
Shiny Pokémon are rare, and as such, seeing them with nicknames is pretty common. You cant rename a Pokémon traded to you so youre stuck with whatever nickname its previous owner has given it. I honestly love that it tells a story about the kind of person who found it.
Warm Hugs the Ninetails and Jelly Belly the Snorlax were both unexpected finds, from players less invested in shiny hunting. Their names show that they were loved catches, caught by trainers who were excited to stumble upon them and had named them with affection.
Comparatively, I received a Horsea named T-S-Horsea and a Seadra called T-S-Horsea2 from a trainer with a much more methodical and clinical naming system. I figured out that the T stands for timid, the best nature for a Horsea . S stands for shiny, and Horsea2 shows that Seadra was caught as a Horsea and evolved later. Its a naming system that says a lot about the serious way its owner played the game.

What Are The Odds Of Finding A Shiny Pokmon In Pokmon Go
Currently, most estimate Shiny encounters outside of events at 1/400, but during events the chances are much higher, sometimes even as high as 1/20. Even outside of events, however, this is a dramatic increase from the 1/4096 base rate in core games, or 1/512 using both the Masuda Method and a Shiny Charm.
That having been said, It’s still random, so you can get a Shiny right away, or it might take you two or even three times as long as someone else. Your best bet to finding Shiny Pokémon is to tap on every single Pokémon that spawns.

The Rarest Shiny Pokmon
Even if theyre a common wild spawn on a Community Day, everyone loves a shiny Pokémon. But identifying the rarest shinies is pretty easy.
The rarest shiny Pokémon are those wearing hats, costumes, holiday trinkets or flower crowns.
This is because the Pokémon were only available for a short period of time and, in some cases, theyll never appear again and your chances of getting one are limited to trades.
The 2 rarest costumed shines are Pikachu Libre and Detective Hat Pikachu. If you have one of these, we tip our Ash baseball cap to you.
Aside from costumed Pokémon, the rarest wild shiny Pokémon in our experience and based on feedback from the Pokémon community are:
Shiny Party Hat Nidorino
Some shinies, particularly those with hats, are often only available for limited times, therefore only the most proactive trainers can snag them. This gimmick rewards the more constant gamers as well as those who pay attention to official information given out by developers on various media platforms. This alternately colored Nidorino that is sporting a festive party hat was only available in a raid in February 2020 that lasted just 3 hours.

What Is The Rarest Shiny Pokemon In Pokemon Go
Shiny Pokemon are the most wanted Pokemon in the mobile game Pokemon Go. These creatures are rare to find especially as wild spawns. This version has a different color palette than the regular version, and sometimes those colors can make a Pokemon look even cuter than it is.
To have a Shiny Pokemon in your collection is a blessing since it is extremely rare to get an encounter with these versions of the regular Pokemon.
You may be asking yourself, how will I know which Pokemon is a Shiny one? First and foremost, a Shiny Pokemon has different colors than the regular one, even though sometimes this difference can not be spotted right away. There is no difference in stats nor in battles.
Usually, you can get one through an encounter or a Raid, but this is very rare. There is no trick on how to get one, unfortunately, and it all depends on RNG.

Closing Thoughts And Info
Due to spawning restrictions and Rare Pokémon tables in place, only one Charmander can spawn in the overworld at once. This is why the ladder method is used. Due to this, it may seem to take longer to find a shiny Charmander than other Pokémon, as others can spawn multiple in the world at once, but keep hunting and you will find the Shiny eventually!

When Did Shinies First Appear In Pokmon Go
When Pokémon GO first launched in July 2016, there were 145 Pokémon available to be caught, but none could be shiny until the first Water Festival event in March 2017, when shiny Magikarp and shiny Gyarados were released to make a homage to the Red Gyarados in the 2nd generation games! It would not be until the Pikachu outbreak in Yokohama, Japan in August 2017 until wed get a taste at the 2nd available in the wild shiny Pikachu!
Before you say Gyarados is shiny in the wild, it is actually not! Evolved versions of shiny Pokémon can not be found in the wild . The ONLY exception to this is the Female Pokémon event in October 2018, when Female Nidoran, Nidorina, and Nidoqueen were all shiny in the wild, but once the two day event ended, Nidorina and Nidoqueen stopped being shiny in the wild. And once a shiny base evolution Pokémon is released in Pokémon GO , it will never stop being shiny.

When And How Every Shiny Was Added To Pokmon Go
Magikarp and Gyarados: The first Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go were Magikarp and Gyarados in March 2017 which were a callback to what was, for most players, the first Shiny they ever caught: the Red Gyarados at Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal’s Lake of Rage.
Shiny Pikachu: August 2017’s Pokémon Go Park event in Japan revealed the second set of Shinies.
Those within the event radius had a chance of catching a Shiny Pikachu, which much like the Red Gyarados, could also be evolved into a shiny Raichu.
These have since been made available around the world, and was expanded on with a shiny hatted Pikachu as part of the 2018 Pokémon Day.
Here is a video of shiny Duskull in action:
Shiny Gen 3 Raids: With the arrival of 50 Gen 3 creatures in December 2017 came two Raid-specific catches, both of which offering Shiny versions. The remaining 48 also have Shiny models in the game code, though none have been found so far.
Otherwise, there are no other signs more Shinies will be added. The main games had shinies for every single creature, so there’s a chance every one in Pokémon Go will offer them at some point, but it makes sense Niantic would want to drip feed them for special occasions and make them more of an event.
Meanwhile in 2019, we’ve seen:
