How To Level Up From 1 To 40
Leveling from 1-40 is fairly simple: Use Lucky Eggs, catch Pokémon, compete in raids, send gifts to friends and battle.
Basically anything you do in the game will reward you with XP, but there are some things that grant better XP than others, and for less effort.
Lucky Eggs
Popping a Lucky Egg can increase that XP, but save those for when you plan on doing a bunch of raids in a row, or when you plan on evolving a ton of Pokémon for the maximum use of your Lucky Eggs.
Lucky Eggs will grant double XP for 30 minutes and are sometimes given as rewards, but most of the time youll have to acquire them through the shop. It costs 80 PokéCoins for one and 500 PokéCoins for eight Lucky Eggs. In real world money, that equals about $5.00 for eight Lucky Eggs, since 550 PokéCoins costs $4.99 in the shop.

Using a Lucky Egg during a double XP event will grant you even more rewards. The XP bonus stacks, so instead of a 2X reward, players will get 4X the XP. Double XP events have been decreasing in number, but they are often implemented as part of a Pokémon spotlight or raid hour, so save your eggs for those weekly happenings.
Best Friends
Making friends is one of the best ways to earn XP in the game, although it isnt one of the fastest. The process takes 90 days of interactions with your friend to complete and involves sending each other gifts or participating in raids together.

How To Get Xp Fast In Pokmon Go
Though technically not the ‘fastest’ method, the ‘best’ method is by levelling a Friend to Best Friend status, netting you a whopping 100,000 XP.
This takes some time – 90 days in total – but since all it takes is exchanging Gifts back and forth daily, it’s by far and away the most lucrative XP source in the game.
Remember you can use a Lucky Egg to double this to 200,000 XP, and if you time it right, you can easily queue up multiple Best Friends to open their gifts in a single Lucky Egg use.
Beyond that, the fastest method is completing a Tier 5 raid, which will earn you 10,000 XP. With Raid Hours, you can chain multiple Tier 5 Raids in a single session, earning many times that, especially with a Lucky Egg.
The problem with this method is you need other players to help you out. If you can, it’s worth joining a local Pokémon Go – one which regularly schedules Raid attendance around Raid Hours and other events – so you have other Trainers to help you complete Raids easily.
Otherwise, a very effective means of gaining XP is evolving Pokémon one after another while a Lucky Egg multiplier is active, something which can performed solo and at your own convenience.
Evolving a creature gives you 500 XP, and if you have have enough creatures and Candy available to evolve them for a full 30 minutes, can net you around 60,000 XP with the use of a Lucky Egg.

How Can Trainers Level Up Their Pokemon More Quickly
First things first: if anyone is going to start to farm XP, theyre definitely going to need Lucky Eggs. These items, when activated, double any XP gained for half an hour. Trainers should want to plan a time where they want to work on gaining XP and activate that Lucky Egg beforehand.
The most basic way to farm XP is through catching Pokemon. A basic catch will award the player 100 XP. There are ways to really capitalize on this, however.
Players can get tons of catch XP during special events like Spotlight Hours. Oftentimes during these events, the effects from Lucky Eggs will be extended for a full hour. The Pokemon that is the focus of the Spotlight Hour will have an increased spawn rate, so trainers can catch several of them and get 200 XP for each catch. If the event has a bonus of 2x XP, then that becomes 400 XP per catch.
Evolving Pokemon will also earn the trainer 500 XP . This might seem tedious since some Pokemon require lots of candy to evolve, but there is a way around this problem.
There are several Pokemon that require a low amount of candy to evolve. These tend to be the weaker Pokemon in the game . If a trainer has lots of these Pokemon on the bench, though, they can evolve them simply for the XP gain.
One way of getting lots of XP is through beating Raid bosses. Defeating one Tier five Raid boss gets the player 10,000 XP .

How to do the Lure, Incense, and Lucky Egg method:
The results wont be nearly as dramatic as farming evolutions, but you should still get a fairly decent amount of XP. Incense spawn Pokemon every five or so minutes while Lures will spawn them every three minutes or so on average. This should result in about 10-20 Pokemon that show up. At 100XP each, that should total around 2000-4000XP, plus whatever you collect from any other activities you perform during that 30 minute time frame . This is also a great way to get resources and new Pokemon quickly in Pokemon Go.

How To Gain Xp In Pokemon Go
You gain XP by doing virtually anything in Pokemon Go. Here is a quick list of ways to gain XP :
- Catching a new Pokemon 500XP and youll also get 500 stardust along with three Candy for the species that you caught. This only happens if its the first time that Pokemon has been in your inventory.
- Evolving a Pokemon 500XP. This is what you get no matter which Pokemon you evolve or how many times you have evolved them in the past.
- Hatching an egg 200XP. This is universal between 2km, 5km, and 10km eggs.
- Catching a Pokemon 100XP and youll also get 100 stardust along with three Candy for the species that you caught.
- Grabbing a Pokestop 50XP for each Pokestop and youll get a few free items as well!
- Special throws By throwing a Pokeball inside of the circle, youll achieve a little bit of extra XP for doing a good or excellent throw. You can also earn a little extra XP by throwing curve balls. The extra XP can range from 10XP to 100XP.
- Gym Battles When you engage in a Gym battle, youll get experience points. The amount you get depends on a variety of variables, including the Gyms level, how strong your Pokemon are, how strong the Gyms Pokemon are, and your current level. All of these things are true whether youre battling to take a Gym or battling in order to level up your Gym. Generally, you can get between 50-200XP per battle this way.
