Arceus cards are only slightly more common than Charizard in Pokémon TCG‘s Brilliant Stars set, with six different cards sporting the iconic Mythical Pokémon. Like Charizard, the Rainbow Rare VSTAR Arceus is among the rarest, having similar pull rates. According to some calculations, Pokémon TCG‘s Gold VSTAR Arceus card follows suit and may even be slightly more uncommon. This is also the case with some of the Alt Art Arceus’. As time goes on and newer Pokémon TCG expansions come out, the cost and rarity of many Brilliant Stars cards are sure to increase further. Still, for the time being, it’s safe to say the Rainbow Rare VSTAR collection is likely to remain the most valuable overall.

Trainer & Tg Cards In Pokmon Tcg Brilliant Stars

Brilliant Stars contains several Supporter cards, quite a few of which include iconic Trainers from throughout the Pokémon franchise. Cynthia’s Ambition, Roseanne’s Backup, and Marnie’s Pride are a few examples of these. All three come in a Full Art print, which, when compared to its more standard alternative, is a good example of a rare Pokémon trading card in and of itself. Cynthia’s Ambition and Roseanne’s Backup both come in Rainbow variants, too, which have been reported as having pull rates of nearly 1/1000. On top of their rarity, they can be fun mementos for Pokémon TCG collectors who also enjoy the video games and the characters featured within.

Hello everyone! My name is Elena from Gaia Storm TCG, and I am beyond excited to share my first article here at TCG Park with you. I have been playing Pokémon Trading Card Game for almost a decade now , and I always had the objective of helping the community grow bigger over time. Thats why I decided that my first post here would be an analysis of the upcoming set, Brilliant Stars, an expansion that comes with plenty of very powerful cards that will change the way the game is played from the very beginning first day.

One thing you should know about Brilliant Stars is that it opens up a whole new arc for the Trading Card Game. You are probably familiar with the fact that Pokémon sets follow certain themes or eras. For example, from the past couple of years, we had sets that focused on introducing Sword and Shield Pokémon & characters to the TGC, and now this is coming to an end. While we say goodbye to Galar, the Sinnoh region is making a comeback, which Arceus is shining above everything.

Even if this new set is not as large as the previous ones weve had, it still has a remarkable amount of cards. I am just going to be covering some of the most important ones from a high-level perspective so you can get an idea of the overall potential of Brilliant Stars. Lets get to it!

Pokmon Tcg Introduces The Trainer Gallery Subset

And this is where Sword & Shield Brilliant Stars does for 2022 what Sword & Shield Battle Styles did for 2021. Battle Styles will forever be underrated for reintroducing the best card type Alternate Arts to the hobby. Now, Brilliant Stars introduces the Trainer Gallery subset which not only brings back Character Rares for the first time since Sun & Moon Cosmic Eclipse, it also introduces Character Super Rares and activates the Reverse Holo slot as a slot where you can pull a major hit from.

With Eeveelution cards, Mimikyu, Acerola, Gloria, and more in the Trainer Gallery, this turns Sword & Shield Brilliant Stars from a strong set into an era-defining set.

Sword & Shield: Brilliant Stars introduces four new VSTAR Pokémon: Arceus, Charizard, Shaymin, Whimsicott. Each Brilliant Stars Booster pack comes with ten cards, a card code for the Pokémon TCG Live, and a basic Energy card. Brilliant Stars also features 20 Pokémon V cards, 3 Pokémon VMAX cards, and a subset of 30 Trainer Gallery cards. This is to show that VSTAR is not a replacement for Pokémon V or Pokémon VMAX especially since Pokémon VSTAR evolves from Pokémon V. All the Pokémon VSTAR also have a rainbow rare version within Brilliant Stars Expansion .

Rarest Gold Cards In Pokmon Tcg Brilliant Stars

Gold cards can easily be spotted by the gold foil that decorates them, and in the Brilliant Stars expansion of Pokémon TCG, the majority of them are only included as part of the set’s secret cards. Furthermore, almost all of them have incredibly low pull rates, sometimes in the range of nearly 1/1000. This makes them all the more exciting to spot when opening Pokémon TCG booster packs, and their appearance makes them a worthwhile addition to any Pokémon TCG display. As far as Brilliant Stars goes, the Gold version of the Ultra Ball has a pull rate of just 1/500, give or take, as does the Gold Galarian Moltres. Others, like Galarian Articuno and Galarian Zapdos, are twice as difficult to find in Gold form.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game’s newest expansion has been out in the open for a few days now, and Brilliant Stars is shaping up to be quite special indeed. Between the introduction of new VSTAR cards, a larger percentage of big, splashy cards to pull, and some of the best art the game has ever had, it feels like a fresh start for the game as we head towards the new generation later this year.

With people opening their packs, booster boxes, and Elite Trainer Boxes, it’s time to take a look at which cards are the most valuable. These prices have been taken from the TCGPlayer’s market prices as of Tuesday, March 1, 2022 about four days after the expansion launched. Prices can sometimes fluctuate in the weeks after launch, but we have a rough idea of which cards will be the big ones by now. No prizes for guessing Charizard will still be super valuable in a month, though.

Pokmon Vstar Special Collections

Two New VSTAR Special Collections have also dropped to promote the new Pokémon VSTAR. The collection is based on Glaceon and Leafeon. The Glaceon VSTAR, Glaceon V, Leafeon VSTAR, and Leafeon V are part of the SWSH Black Star Promos which were created back in 2019 to promote the Sword & Shield Series. Each collection will come with a V and a VSTAR of their face Pokémon, an oversized promo VSTAR card, five booster packs from Sword & Shield expansions, and an Acrylic VSTAR marker to track when you have used a VSTAR ability .

Double Turbo Energy 151/172

5/5 Is this card Pokemons attempt to atone for the mistakes of Double Colorless Energy? Is Double Colorless Energy even a mistake? Many players seem to think so, and perhaps Pokemon agrees with them. This card can provide two colorless energy, which will be incredible for so many decks. The obvious card which will instantly want to use Double Turbo Energy is Arceus VSTAR. Now Double Turbo Energy does have a drawback, since the Pokemon it is attached to deals 20 less damage. I would say that is a small trade off for the upside this card brings.

So, what do we think? Did the Colorless Pokemon and Trainers save this set? I certainly believe that most of the best cards in this set were in this section! Im not convinced this is the best set since Guardians Rising, which some players have touted it as, but it certainly brings some interesting new cards, some familiar strategies and of course the exciting new VSTAR game mechanic. I cant wait to play with these new cards and build a ton of new Pokemon decks! The Next Pokmon Tcg Set Is Brilliant Stars Coming Feb 25

The VSTAR mechanic will enter the TCG next year.

The next English Pokémon TCG set has been revealed. The VSTAR-centric Brilliant Stars will be released on Feb. 25.

This will be the Western equivalent of the upcoming Star Birth OCG set, which will introduce the new VSTAR mechanic and feature Arceus VSTAR.

VSTAR is another evolution patch for Pokémon V to pair with VMAX and will feature powerful abilities called VSTAR Power that can only be used once per game. Theyre meant to generate major advantages for the player using them, like Arceus VSTARs VSTAR Power Starbirth, which will allow a player to search for any two cards from their deck and add them to their hand.

Pokemon Brilliant Stars is the 9th expansion set in the Sword & Shield Series. The set contains 216 cards: 172 in the base set, 14 secret rare cards, and 30 Trainer Gallery cards. Brilliant Stars is the first set to introduce the VSTAR mechanic to the game giving Pokemon special VSTAR powers.

The Trainer Gallery is a subset of the Brilliant Stars set. It contains 30 cards that are numbered starting with TG, for example, TG01/TG30, TG02/TG30, etc. There are no secret rare cards in the Trainer Gallery subset. Each full art card in this subset contains a Pokemon with their Trainer, similar to cards in the Cosmic Eclipse expansion set.

Pokmon Tcg Brilliant Stars’ Charizard Cards Are Pretty Uncommon

Cards featuring Charizard – the third evolution of Charmander – have consistently remained among the most valuable Pokémon cards, with certain holographic Pokémon: TCG Charizard cards selling for over $100,000 in some cases. So it shouldn’t come as much surprise that the Sword & Shield – Brilliant Stars expansion set seems to continue this tradition. Several of the pack’s Charizards are already among the most expensive in the collection, and their rarity only adds to their value. Charizard makes up 5 of the 172 official cards in Brilliant Stars, and nearly all of them are hard to come across and worth up to hundreds of dollars.

The most notable of these is the Rainbow Rare Charizard VSTAR, which reportedly has a pull rate of anywhere from 1/500 to 1/1000. As with all Pokémon cards, much of it comes down to luck, so no two lucky Pokémon card collectors will encounter the same pull rate even if they’re opening boosters from the same set. That said, Rainbow Rare cards are typically among the most uncommon in any given Pokémon TCG collection. Their value tends to be relatively high compared to more standard reprints as a result. Other Charizard cards in Brilliant Stars include the Full Art and Alt Art versions, which have pull rates of around 1/400.
