Next Pokemon Switch Game Is Aiming To Let You Transfer In Your Old Pokemon
Despite the imminent release of Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Eevee!, some fans are still looking towards the future. Next year promises another Pokemon Switch title that more closely resembles other portable RPGs. One unique feature of these games is the ability to transfer your monster collection from one generation to the next. And according to recent developer statements, the studio is trying to continue that trend for the next Pokemon Switch game. However, it is not a done deal just yet.
Talking with GameSpot in a transcribed interview, Pokemon Director Junichi Masuda touched on the importance of backward compatibility.
Were definitely always thinking of that kind of forward-moving functionality, especially since weve introduced Pokemon Bank, he said.
Despite the existence of this storage solution, the team behind the newest Pokemon RPG isnt quite sure how theyll get the creatures off the 3DS and onto the Switch. Masuda stated that it was a complicated process that the team is still cracking.
We do have plans to find ways to let players use their Pokemon in the next game, he explained.
Past games such as Pokemon Stadium and My Pokémon Ranch have let players transfer their creatures to a console in a limited capacity. Since this is the first time a mainline RPG will be based on a home console, theyll need to support all the stats, held items, and everything else that makes the popular series so intricate.
Release Date: Early 2022
Last but not least of the games announced earlier this year is Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It serves as a prequel to Pokémon Diamond & Pearl and in turn the Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl games. It is expected to be out around a year from now.
While it will honor the core gameplay of the games that have become for it, Pokémon Legends: Arceus makes history because it is the first action-RPG in the main series and Game Freaks first attempt at that sub-genre of games.
The reveal trailer saw many fans comparing the environment, gameplay, and general cinematic style to that of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game is set to feature an open-world setting that is an extension of the Wild Area that was introduced in Pokémon Sword & Shield . Though it hasnt been confirmed, its speculated that the objective of the game will be to create Sinnohs first Pokédex.
A Fresh Pokmon Nintendo Switch Game
GameFreak has confirmed in the Nintendo E3 Spotlight that it is, in fact, working on a full RPG Pokémon title for the Switch.
GameFreak has begun developing a core RPG Pokémon title on Nintendo Switch, said The Pokémon Companys Tsunekazu Ishihara. It may not release for more than a year, but we hope youll look forward to it all the same.
Back in September 2016, Pokémon Sun and Moon director Shigeru Ohmori spoke about a potential Pokémon Nintendo Switch game.
When it comes to the main series, thinking of Pokémon RPGs that we develop at Game Freak, we always really consider the timing of when we released them, Ohmori said to Gameinformer. There has to be a certain point where were able to release the games and get them into the hands of enough people, to make sure the audience is big enough. This year, with Pokémon Sun and Moon, obviously were going to be starting to think about the next title, and then depending on what that timing is, I think that will determine which platform we would release it on.
Game Freak posted a variety of job listings for an RPG title thats popular on a global scale. It also added that it was a game that everyone knows. Although Game Freak does make other games, its best known for the Pokémon series, so wed be incredibly surprised if the jobs werent related to a new title.

Bulletstorm: Duke Of Switch Edition
During the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, the developer People Can Fly introduced us to Grayson Hunt and his profanity-laden, raucous journey to get some good ol fashioned revenge. The game featured fast-paced first-person shooting action akin to games like Doom or the Unreal Tournament franchise.
Bulletstorm prided itself on the number of ways one could eliminate the opposition. If you wanted, you could kick an enemy into a meat-eating plant and watch the poor sap be devoured! The game is currently not available for the Switch, but will be this fall. Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition will feature Duke Nukem, famous for his own set of games.

Pokmon Legends: Arceus Review Makes Even Old
Nintendo Switch Game Freak/NintendoMore than a quarter of a century since the cuddly critters were first sent in to battle, the magic of those early adventures has finally been recaptured
Ever since the monochromatic thrills of 1996s Pokémon Red and Blue, Ive dreamed of embarking on a sprawling 3D Pokémon adventure. While 2019s Sword and Shield did their best to belatedly bring the series love-worn formula in to the third dimension, a lack of real innovation left the franchises legions of older fans despairing over their Pikachu plushies. More than two years later, the ambitious Pokémon Legends: Arceus sees creators Game Freak attempting to really modernise the series.
Dispatched on a time-travelling mission by none other than Pokémon God, Arceus, Legends begins with your adolescent avatar plummeting through a portal to the past. Mercifully, the titular divinity isnt completely unreasonable youre at least sent on your way with a fully charged smartphone. Cheers, your holiness. As calming flute melodies float around your ears and dramatic feudal-Japanese fonts fill the screen, its hard not to be swept up in the novelty of it all. At least until you take a closer look at your surroundings.
This ambitious reboot sets Pokémon on an exciting new trajectory, finally recapturing a lost sense of adventure.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is out now £39.99
Can You Play Older Pokemon Games On Nintendo Switch
Pokemon fans have been fighting for this capability since the Nintendo Switch was released. The Virtual Console has been a haven for fans of the older Pokemon games. The 3DS version allowed players to jump into the classics and play them as if it was a Game Boy at their fingertips.
Give us the GBA games on Switch virtual console
The Nintendo Switch has no such capability at this point. In regards to main series games, it only allows Sword and Shield and the Let’s Go series. That will soon change with the release of the Diamond and Pearl remakes.
New spin-off games, such as New Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Legends Arceus, are on the horizon too. They are sure to bring many fresh and exciting adventures, but nothing can top the experience, the sounds, and the joy, of the older Pokemon games.
There have been countless rumors of an upgraded Nintendo Switch console being made. That has also delivered countless rumors of a new Virtual Console being released to appease users who may not purchase the new Switch right away.

Nintendo Will Reportedly Bring Game Boy And Game Boy Color Era Games Over To Nintendo Switch Via Online Subscription Service
Nintendo’s premium Switch Online subscription service is reportedly getting games from the original handheld duo that dominated the late 80s and 90s.
Nintendo Switch Online will soon expand to include Game Boy and Game Boy Color platforms, sources tell Eurogamer. While the roster of included games is unknown, it’s possible we could see heavy-hitters like the original Pokemon games cross over, complete with Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow, as well as later iterations like Silver, Gold, and Crystal.
There’s also talk of other old-school Nintendo platforms coming to Switch Online, including the Nintendo 64.
Instead of offering a Virtual Console digital storefront on the Nintendo Switch, the games-maker is locking specific old-school titles behind a recurring subscription paywall. The concept isn’t new–both Sony and Microsoft do it with PlayStation Plus and Xbox LIVE Gold freebies–and Nintendo has frequently promised to increase the value of Nintendo Switch Online over time. Adding new legacy platforms and games is the best way to do this and ensure subscriber retention.
Nintendo has yet to make an official announcement and there’s no telling if or when that’ll happen.
Where To Get Pokmon Roms For Your Iphone
After you install an emulator on your iPhone, you still need a software version of the game you want to play. These are called ROMs. While emulators are free and legal to use, ROMs aren’t so straightforward.
If you already own a game legally, in some cases you’re allowed to create your own ROM version of it for backup purposes. However, an old version of Nintendo’s legal FAQ stated that even this archival use is illegal. That said, this message no longer appears on Nintendo’s website, which is promising.
No matter how you obtained them, since video games are copyrighted, it’s a crime for you to share ROMs with anyone else.
Still, all it takes is a Google search to find whatever ROMs you’re looking for, shared by other people. If you aren’t sure which ones to play, take a look at our ranking of all the mainline Pokémon games.

Pokmon Sword And Shield: 81/100
At its core, Pokémon Sword and Shield is a role-playing game about a fantastic world full of magical wildlife, continuing the trend of following a young Pokémon trainer through their journey. Featuring a locale based on the United Kingdom, Pokémon Sword and Shield took some of the best achievements from previous titles and incorporated them in this latest entry. Pokémon roam the overworld much like in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! and there are even raid encounters players can team up to tackle.
With a score of 81, Pokémon Sword and Shield stands as the best-received Pokémon games on Switch. The titles capture enough of what has made Pokémon great over the franchise’s lifetime while finding places to introduce new features and improvements. It’s all accomplished without rocking the precariously perched boat enough to scare off longtime fans or newcomers. Critics praised the title for streamlining tedious activities and reinvigorating battles with the Dynamax feature.

All The Pokmon Games Available For The Nintendo Switch
The Pokémon franchise has been alive and well since 1996. The series has seen many new games, worlds, and Pokémon for us to explore and catch. Each game gives us something new and, for the most part, players of the series love it. Most Pokémon fans will delight in explaining which games they played first, which Pokémon are their favorites, and the relative qualities of each game.
The Nintendo Switch offers a wide range of Pokémon games for players to relive and explore. Although some of these games may not be strictly set up as how we know Pokémon now, they do add a bit to the overall universe. They give new ways of looking at the world of Pokémon, and experiences within it that may not have occurred to players. Theyre the perfect way to explore, catch, and learn about these adorable pocket monsters. If youre looking for a new Pokémon game to try out and explore, youve come to the right place!
Pokmon: Lets Go Eevee And Pikachu
Pokémon: LetsGoisnt a new game, but it feels new. The game takes the story and imaginings from the original Pokémon Blue, Red, and Yellow, but gives them a change. Instead of battling wild Pokémon, the game pulls inspiration from Pokémon Go. Youll need to have a careful hand to pick up wild Pokémon in this one. But there are a few pretty major changes. The graphics, for example, are no longer the 2D designs from the original Red, Blue, and Yellow. The updated look to the classic and original Pokémon games is perfect for the latest audience.
Additionally, youre able to interact between Lets Go and Pokémon Go. If you have a beloved Pokémon in Pokémon Go, youre able to bring that Pokémon to life by transferring it into your Lets Go game. This will give you a new way to interact with the Pokémon and train it to be a master. However, this is a one-way street so be certain you want to bring your favorite from Pokémon Go to Lets Go.

What About The Old Pokmon Games On Nintendo Switch
Wed love to see the older Pokémon titles arrive on the Nintendo Switch via the eShop, just as the original Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow did on the 3DS. Plus, theyd really work, as they dont need to utilise the dual screens of the 3DS and could be played full screen on the Switch. Of course, wed love to see that extend to newer entries in the series like Pokémon Gold and Silver or Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
Interestingly, the Nintendo Switch actually has a vertical mode for some of the Neo Geo games that launched on the Switch eShop in the last few weeks. Could this pave the way for Game Boy Pokémon titles in the future?
Nintendo still hasnt given much information on when the Virtual Console service will come to the Switch. Its rumoured to be coming with a host of GameCube games, which would be a first for Virtual Console. Its believed that Nintendo delayed the service to give the Nintendo Switch launch games time to breathe, but theres still no word on when it will arrive.
