Legendary Pokmon Collectibles Rolling Out Throughout The Year

Toy manufacturer TOMY is getting in on Pokémon’s 20th anniversary celebrations by launching a line of legendary Pokémon figures and plushes, the company announced. From now until December, various retailers will receive toys based on one different mythical Pokémon creature per month, with Pikachu also thrown into the mix.
The line kicks off this month as TOMY issues new toys based on both Pikachu and the rare Pokémon Mew to Toys R Us, GameStop and Walmart. A crushed velvet Mew plush and 2-inch Mew figure are only available at GameStop Walmart and Toys R Us will receive various Pikachu figures and plushes in differing finishes this month.

TOMY’s promotion mirrors The Pokémon Company’s . Owners of the Pokémon 3DS games can receive a single hard-to-find Pokémon per month from either GameStop or the Nintendo Network digital distribution service. Currently, players have until Feb. 24 to grab Mew from GameStop for their Pokédexes.
Giant Shiny Gold Magikarp

In 2013, the Pokémon Center in Nagoya, Japan moved locations. To celebrate the grand opening of the new store, a special Giant Shiny Gold Magikarp was released in very limited quantities. There was also a smaller Shiny Gold Magikarp plush available, but the giant plush is more popular. Whenever, these Giant Shiny Gold Magikarp plushes show up on resale sites, they fetch over $1,000!

Giant Eevee Plush Present

With only 20 pieces available in Japan, the Giant Eeevee Plush Present is the rarest and most expensive Pokémon plush ever. The Giant Eevee Plush Present was released in 2012 as part of Banprestos I Eevee campaign. In addition to being produced in such a small quantity, the Giant Eevee Plush Present was only available through a lottery. To get a ticket to enter the lottery, players had to first win an I Eevee Bag-hang Plush from participating arcades.
Because of its rarity Giant Eevee Plush Presents have almost never appeared on resale sites. However, one did a few years ago and sold for over $5,000!

Pokemon Japanese 1998 3rd Place Kamex Mega Battle Squirtle Trophy

Just to be clear, this is a trophy that says you won THIRD PLACE. Basically, the person who wasn’t even special enough to BE THE FIRST ONE TO LOSE. But this extremely rare trophy from a 1998 Pokemon Tournament will require RIDICULOUS funds just for you to say I GOT THE BRONZE!
It makes you question if a bronze Pokemon statue is worth more than winning the Bronze at the Olympics? But at least with buying bronze off Ebay, you don’t have to dope up or chug steroids just to try and win it!

The Rarest Of All Pokemon Plush Toys
With Pokemon, the rarest will always be a little bit subjective because somehow it will be based on which character you relate to most. However, on the mainstream forums, it can be gauged that the plush toys with ribbons and sold or released in Japan tend to be more in demand. There are 2 reasons for this: One, they are exclusive to Japan and two they are more expensive to bring back to your own country especially if you buy from Japanese websites. The Nintendo GameCube has its place in gaming history for providing some of the greatest titles to grace the sixth generation of gaming. But why settle for the common purple edition you can pick up anywhere for cheap, when you can shell out ridiculous amounts of cash for this hard to find Pokemon themed edition? The best part is, it’ll immediately lose the value you paid once you open the box to try and play the system!
I would just like to point out that the only real difference in the GameCube of this bundle, compared to a normal GameCube, is the Pokemon logo is pictured where it usually says “Nintendo GameCube.” That’s it. The color is exactly what you’d get out of a gray GameCube at a flea market, but you just have to be the most die hard Pokemon fan out there — so we both know you’re going to shell out the $500 just to get this one.
But I’m no here toy judge how you spend your money…well, yes I am, but it’s not like any of us wouldn’t want a Pokemon GameCube if we could get one. Some of us just realize the price is too much for our inner child. But I have faith you’ll be the irresponsible buyer.

Most Expensive And Rarest Pokmon Plushes Ever
Since Pokémon made its debut in the mid-1990s, the franchise has taken the world by storm and more than 25 years later, Pokémon is as popular as ever. While the Pokémon cards and games are the main draw of the franchise, official Pokémon plushes are incredibly popular/desirable. After all, these plushes are the closest thing to real-life Pokémon, especially because some of the rarest plushes are lifesize.

Back in 2001, the Pokémon Center store New York and the other one in Tokyo released a line of giant plushes. The rarest of this first line of giant plushes are the three legendary dogs: Entei, Suicune, and Raikou. The giant plushes were produced in limited quantities and have been highly sought after these past 20 years. These giant legendary plushes hardly ever pop up on resale sites, but when they do, they sell for thousands of dollars.

Unless you plan on going down to your local carnival and winning a cheap knock off at ring toss, and one that was likely stitched together by children in a sweat shop, this giant Eevee will cost you five grand.
Sure, tell yourself you’re only buying this to save those sweat shop children from suffering, and that it totally has nothing to do with the fact you’re just trying to fill that hole if your heart with toys….but hey! Look how fluffy it is!

Bulbasaur Charmander And Squirtle
Charmander is objectively the best starter Pokémon . However, in terms of adorableness, they cannot be ranked. All three of these jumbo cuties are available at the Pokémon Center, though in a rare turn of events theyre cheaperatresellers. At 20-24, theyre not big enough to rank higher, but theyre still cute as heck and some of the most affordable jumbo plushes out there.

First Edition Shadowless Charizard Pokemon Card
Price: $1,000-3,000
Ah, so you’re trying to get all your old Pokemon cards back? Well, good luck with that. The Pokemon Go craze has caused Ebay prices for your beloved childhood memories to skyrocket once more, with certain foil and super rare Pokemon cards fetching hundreds of dollars.
None of that compares to this Charizard Pokemon card, however, which will cost you THOUSANDS. These Pokmon Scarlet And Violet Plushies Will Make Choosing Your Starter Even Harder

As if picking your starter Pokémon wasn’t already a difficult enough decision, Sanei Boeki has announced a line of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet plushies modelled on the game’s leading trio, making that all-important choice a whole lot harder.
The Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly plushies join the company’s ‘All Star Collection’ and yes, they look very, very cuddly. The plushies will be available in two different sizes, with the larger model coming in at around 35cm in height, while the smaller is just a little guy at around 12cm and features a chain so it can hang on your keys or bag.
While each of the options are to be sold only in Japan, currently has pre-orders open with the option of international delivery! The starting price for the larger edition is ¥6,600 while the smaller guys will be ¥1,650 excluding shipping.

The Rarest Pokemon Plush Toys: An Overview
Pokemon, a Japanese media franchise owned by Nintendo, was launched in 1996 and is a contraction of Pocket Monsters. On its launch year, the Pokemon plush toys were also introduced like the Bell Plush or the Suzunari Pokemon Plush. This was a series of 3 sets totaling 49 plush toys by Banpresto which stopped production in 1997. These plush toys are about 3 inches high and are sold with a cord and a bell.
