The Player’s Villa Is An Extra Addition To The Resort Area
When getting to the Resort Area in Pokémon Platinum, the player is shown to a Villa which is now theirs. It can be customized like a Secret Base in previous games, but as an actual building and home, it has an additional sense of legitimacy.
Other characters, from friends and rivals to Gym Leaders and even the Champion Cynthia, can visit the Villa once an item has been unlocked. It certainly adds an extra activity for the post-game to keep the player busy and occupied.

Aside from the main game itself, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl offers a plethora of side quests and post-game content. In the Sinnoh Grand Underground, you can create Secret Bases and decorate them with statues that affect the types of Pokémon you encounter in the optional Hideaway dungeons.
Hideaways are new additions in these remakes. These caves contain Pokémon that you normally wouldnt be able to find or catch above ground. More Pokémon are available in Hideaways as you progress through the game, and its great to have more options for team building.
You can also dig up items to trade with various vendors throughout the Grand Underground. You can acquire things like TMs or pedestals for your statues. Multiplayer is enabled as well. You can explore the Grand Underground with a friend, and visit their Secret Bases, too. The Grand Underground is an incredibly fun distraction, in case youre looking to do something other than fighting.
The post-game content is nothing to sneeze at, either. You can catch more legendary Pokémon at new locations in Sinnoh, or even catch previous-generation legendaries at Ramanas Park. Additionally, you can also conduct rematches with the Elite Four, and their Pokémon will become stronger each time , which makes for an exciting challenge.
Variations Between English And Japanese Editions
- The Japanese variations of the cards did not have a numbering system till the release of Pokémon VS, and the number featured on the cards before that represents the Pokémons Pokédex number.
- The English numbering is based on an alphabetical sorting, with descending rarity, a sorting that would stay the same till the release of Black & White. The Japanese order is based on type, and ascending rarity, and stayed this way until the release of e-Card 2.
