HOW MANY SHINIES?! Treecko Community Day Pokemon Go Vlog!

As for how GO is making so much money? While Niantic doesnt break down exactly what its selling, I am absolutely convinced that the majority of its revenue comes from raid passes, which allow for infinite raiding of special event legendaries and other rare Pokémon in raids. Raid hours now have people try to get as many big-time raids in as possible in a limited time, and that means buying however many raid passes it takes to get the job done. Hence, more revenue.

Pokémon GO is not going anywhere, at least not with this level of investment Niantic is putting into it, and the investment on the players side as well, given how much time theyve put into building their Pokedex at this point. For many, GO is now more compelling than the handheld games ever were, or its their first Pokémon experience period, and theyre beyond hooked.

What The Glitchy Pokemon Name Is All About

When you catch a Shiny Pokemon with the cheat activated, there is a chance that the name will glitch. The image is based on the ROM hack Pokemon Radical Red when catching a Shiny and changing the name. It is a glitch that happens in some games, particularly in ROM hacks.

In most cases, it is harmless other than just having it a glitched-out name. However, if youre a little OCD about things like those, heres something that can help you get through it.

How To Get A Shiny Legendary Pokemon In Pokemon Go

I will be honest, getting a legendary shiny Pokemon is not the easiest thing and you would have to do some work. Nevertheless, to make things easier for you, I have come up with some smart tips that you can implement to catch legendary and mythical Pokemons.

Step 1: Learn their whereabouts

Firstly, you should know where to find legendary and mythical Pokemons in the game. Apart from trading and special research, you can either find them in the wild or by defending raids. Since the chances of stumbling upon shiny legendaries are pretty less, you can use any Pokemon radar.

A reliable Pokemon Map like The Silph Road, Pogo Map, Pokenet, etc. will let you know the spawning location of shiny legendary in Pokemon Go. You can also know the whereabouts of legendary raids so that you can defend them later on.

Step 2: Spoof your phoneâs GPS to the raid or spawning location

If the spoofing or raid location is nearby, then you can just visit it to catch a legendary shiny Pokemon. Otherwise, just use a location spoofer to change the GPS on your device. Android users can easily find several applications on the Play Store to do the same without rooting their devices.

Community Day Research Events And Safari Zones

Community Days offer trainers a greatly-increased chance of encountering a specific Pokemon, as well as high chances to encounter shiny variants. So while you encounter more of a certain Pokemon on their Community Day, every single encounter is also assigned boosted shiny odds. Many people who take part in Community Days actually finish with a whole haul of shiny Pokemon, which can be incredibly valuable in the long run as their evolutions also have special movesets.

Community Days are just one kind of event, though. Pokemon Go has also started to run Safari Zone events all over the world. These turn various real-world locations into the fan-favorite, catch em all minigame that was embedded in the mainline franchise ever since Generation 1. Safari Zones offer trainers the chance to catch a plethora of rare Pokemon and feature substantially boosted shiny encounters.

Only a handful of Safari Zone events have taken place so far, but theyve been so successful that fans will surely want more in the near future. Developer Niantic is usually pretty good to its fans, too, so youll likely see a few more Safari Zone events in 2019 and beyond.

Its unlikely that youll travel halfway around the world to attend a Safari Zone event. Fortunately, Pokemon Go offers small perks to players worldwide during Safari Zone events. Usually, a handful of Pokemon with shiny variants appear with greatly-increased spawn rates for a few days, letting everyone join in on the fun.

Capturing Charmander And Pikachu

Big datamine leads to the discovery of many shiny Pokemon

When you want to get Charmander can be easy. Once you beat the game and the credits roll, youll be back in your room.

Head outside and go to Hops house, go upstairs and head to the room on the right. Youll find a Poke Ball on the floor and thats where youll get Charmander.

You can get Pikachu by trading it from Lets Go Eevee or Pikachu. However, there is a way to get it without trading. Go to Route 4 and find the yellow grasses where Pikachu will pop up.

It is very rare so you need to make sure to catch it when you can. It is advisable to use Normal-type moves to ensure that it doesnt get killed right away.

How To Get Shiny Pokemon

Obtaining a Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO is the same as catching regular Pokemon. In fact, the tricky part about catching Shiny Pokemon is that they arent revealed to be Shinies until after theyve been engaged for battle. Shiny Pokemon will appear as regular colored Pokemon on the map. You must tap on a Pokemon in the wild and engage it in battle to find out if its Shiny or not.

Halloween Bulbasaur Charmander And Squirtle

Why Its Rare: Release Date: Generation and Pokédex Number: Appearance Rate:

The original starter Pokémon Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are some of the most iconic and popular Pokémon ever, besides Pikachu. For Halloween 2019, Pokémon Go dressed up Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle for the first time. Bulbasaur donned a Shedninja costume, Charmander wore a Cubone costume, and Squirtle had a Yamask hat. During the event, from October 17 to November 1, 2019, Shiny versions of each of the costumed starters were also available. The costumed cuties returned for Halloween 2020, but its not a sure thing that theyll return again in 2021. So players may have already missed out on nabbing the Shiny costumed starters.

Do Shiny Pokmon Show Up In The Pokdex In Pokmon Go

They do. Although they are not separate entries, you can access the Shiny variants on the main entries just like gender vaniants. To see the Shiny variants, follow these easy step:

  • Tap the Menu button , button right.
  • Tap Pokédex, top middle.
  • Tap on the Pokémon you want to check.
  • Look for the Shiny badge.
  • Of course, the Shiny badge will only show up once you’ve caught a Shiny version of that Pokémon. Alternatively, if the Shiny Variant is the only one you’ve caught, you won’t be able to see the standard forme in your Pokédex.

Here Are The 45 Shinies You Should Be Hunting For In ‘pokmon Go’

    Pokemon GO

It seems like just yesterday that Pokémon GO was first starting to roll out the concept of shinies, with everyone hunting for a gold Magikarp to evolve into a red Gyarados.

But now? Pokémon GO has added so many shinies into the game, its hard to keep track of them all. So Im going to try. Pokémon GO always adds a new shiny during every Community Day event, so once per month, and thats always been a three-stage evolution . They also now have shinies introduced during theme events, with one or two new ones appearing in those, like the recent Fighting-type themed event going on now.

Community Day ups the chance at a shiny from 1 in 200 something to 1 in 20 or 30 instead, but once a shiny is added through one of these above events, it now has the chance to show up in the game from then on out . As of right now, there are 49 shinies in the game that you can collect. Thats barely over 10% of all the Pokémon in Gens 1-3, but Id be amazed if you had more than half of them, even as an avid player.

So, heres the full list, along with how you can get each of them. Heres a visual guide, if youd rather reference that instead.

In Pokemon GO, Shiny Pokemon are rare variants that have an alternative color scheme than their base counterparts. Shiny Pokemon are exceedingly rare and are considered to be much more valuable than their regular versions. This guide will explain how to find Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO and what you should know about these elusive Pokemon.

Shiny Pokemon were added to Pokemon GO back in March, with the golden Shiny Magikarp and its evolution, Red Gyarados, among the first to get the shiny treatment. Shiny Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu would be added shortly after, but it wasnt until the Halloween event that Pokemon GO players would see a huge influx of Shinies arrive in the game. These included Shiny Shuppet, Banette, Sableye, Duskull, and Dusclops, which were also the first Gen 3 Pokemon added to Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Season Of Alola Raids

During the Season of Alola event, the Raids will shift to feature many Pokemon from the Alola region.

Heres a rundown of which Pokemon trainers can find in Raids during the week-long event:

    • One-Star Raids: Bellsprout, Snubbull, Phanpy, Electrike, Rockruff
    • Three-Star Raids: Alolan Raichu, Nidoqueen, Wigglytuff, Alolan Graveler
    • Five-Star Raids: Tapu Koko
    • Mega Raids: Mega Venusaur

If You Catch A Shiny Pokmon Can It Turn Into A Shiny Ditto In Pokmon Go

No. Magikarp was removed from the Ditto potentials shortly after Shiny Magikarp became available, and the same has held true for other common Pokémon since. However, on February 20, 2021, the Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto event will unlock the remaining Gen 1 Shiny Pokémon, including Ditto. It is unclear if this means that Pokémon with the potential to be Shiny will be able to be Ditto or if Niantic will handle Shiny Ditto differently than other Shiny Pokémon.

What Do The Colored Rings Mean In Pokemon Go

Big datamine leads to the discovery of many shiny Pokemon

The rings color indicates the difficulty level of capturing the Pokémon. A green ring indicates the capture is low difficulty, orange indicates intermediate difficulty, and red indicates extreme difficulty. You have the greatest chance of capturing the Pokémon while the colored ring is at its smallest diameter.

If you leave the capture screen, as long as the Pokemon has still spawned in the world map, it will remain Shiny. If it disappears from the map and another Pokemon takes its place, it will not be the same Shiny Pokemon.

Catch Pokmon Faster Get More Xp And Other Ways To Get Ahead In Pokmon Go This Summer

    ByJim Martin, Editor| 21 Jun 2019

It is possible to cheat in Pokémon Go, but some cheating can get you banned. In fact, the games developer Niantic is really cracking down on cheating.

Currently there are no maps which display the location and stats of all Pokémon, and there has been little to no progress from the hackers which had previously managed to reverse engineer the games API very quickly.

Plus, the in-game Pokémon tracker has been improved and prioritises Pokémon you havent yet caught and added to the Pokédex. This has made it much, much easier to catch regional Pokémon when youre travelling, so maps arent quite as essential now.

The tracker can still be improved, though, and its still an issue for rural players in particular.

Y Hat Nidorino And Party Hat Gengar

Why Its Rare: Release Date: Generation and Pokédex Number: Appearance Rate:

The Shiny versions of Party Hat Nidorino and Party Hat Gengar are some of the rarest Shinies in Pokémon GO. The Party Hat versions of both Pokémon were released during a special Nidorino and Gengar Raid Day event that only lasted between 2PM to 5PM local time. Due to this, players had a very small window of opportunity to try and catch a Shiny Party Hat Nidorino and/or Gengar.

According to some reports of the events, most players were focused on catching Party Hat Gengars, making Shiny Party Hat Nidorino the rarer of the two special event Pokémon. Now, the only way to get a Shiny Party Hat Nidorino and Shiny Party Hat Gengar is through a trade and some enterprising players selling these Pokémon on eBay.

Do Shiny Pokmon Perform Differently In Pokmon Go

So Many Cool Shinies!!! | Pokemon GO Team Rocket Event

Nope. Shiny Pokémon have the same stats as non-Shiny variants. Which is to say, a range. You can catch a perfect Shiny Magikarp, but you can also catch a not-so-great one. They also have no special movesets or powers of any kind. Aside from looking different, they’re exactly the same.

However, Community Day is the easiest time to catch Shiny Pokémon. If evolved during the event window, Shiny Pokémon will get the exclusive move just like the normal featured Pokémon, so a lot of Shiny Pokémon do have that exclusive move.

But It Still Offers The Ultimate Catch Em All Experience

Even if combat became central to Pokémon GO, the game still offers the ultimate Catch em All experience. There are six generations of Pokémon in the game already, and the recently added Galar page on the Pokédex is a clear indication that new critters will soon be released. So, it shouldnt take long before Pokémon GO becomes the only game in the franchise where you can fill your Pokédex without going through the hell of transferring creatures between different systems that all work in unique ways.

Also, Pokémon GO doesnt demand you to have both a Nintendo Switch and a Nintendo DS to complete your collection. All you need is a phone capable of running the game. As cellphone technology keeps improving, even cheap models can handle Pokémon GO pretty wellalthough Niantic really needs to double-check those data and energy consumption rates. Video games are expensive, especially in some parts of the globe since we all must have cellphones anyway, for other communication reasons, its great that we can actually play a Pokémon game legally without compromising our monthly pay.

How To Find Shiny Pokmon Such As Shiny Magikarp And Red Gyarados Pokmon Go

Shinies are found by simply trying to catch Pokémon and seeing if they display as an alternate colour in the battle and post-battle screens.

They won’t appear as a different colour in the field, so you have to attempt to catch them first.

They of course can also appear in anywhere you’d find a Pokémon, not just the wild – so that includes hatching Eggs, Research task rewards and Raid bonus challenges.

A Shiny creature is extremely rare, so it’s simply a case of checking every one you are looking for – such as Magikarp – in the hope it will be a different colour.

Often, the variation is somewhat subtle. You can see the difference in Magikarp in the above comparison image, courtesy of Silph Road subreddit user skinnysnorlaz.

Some shinies, particularly those with hats, are often only available for limited times, therefore only the most proactive trainers can snag them. This alternately colored Nidorino that is sporting a festive party hat was only available in a raid in February 2020 that lasted just 3 hours.
