The Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games take place in the Galar region. Galar is an expansive region with diverse environments – an idyllic countryside, contemporary cities, thick forest, and craggy, snow-covered mountains. Ash’s Sirfetch’d Is Now Available In Pokmon Sword & Shield
Pokémon Sword and Shield are adding Ash’s team, with Sirfetch’d being the penultimate giveaway. The player needs a specific serial number to receive Ash’s Sirfetch’d on their team, which has been revealed on the official Serebii Twitter page. To acquire Ash’s Sirfetch’d, players have until September 22 to boot up their copy of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, head to the Mystery Gift menu, enter the Gift/Password section, and type H1SSATSUNEG1 into the prompt. The Sirfetch’d will then be available to download, where it will enter an empty space in the player’s party or box.
Ash’s Sirfetch’d is a level 80 Fighting-type Pokémon, which has the Steadfast Ability, and knows Meteor Assault, Brutal Swing, Fury Cutter, and Detect. The Sirfetch’d is also carrying the Leek item, which boosts its critical hit ratio. The fact that Galarian Farfetch’d is a Pokémon Sword exclusive Pokémon, as well as the annoying method for evolving it into Sirfetch’d, meant that many players had to trade to receive this mighty bird Pokémon when the game launched, but they can now have Ash’s own personal Sirfetch’d to call their own. Players who haven’t already can also receive Ash’s Gengar in Pokémon Sword and Shield, as it’s available until September 15. The only member of Ash’s team that is left for Pokémon Sword and Shield is his Lucario, which will be available on September 16.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are not without their problems. But beyond the rubbish online play and uninspired late-game routes, and beyond the controversy surrounding them, theyre simply the most fun Ive ever had with Pokémon. The story is wonderful, the creatures themselves are all fantastic and adorable, and Max Raids will absolutely never not be great fun. And if you can overlook the fact that these games arent the generational leap that some expected, youre sure to find something special in them.
Sword and Shield are a lot of fun and, at the same time, its also a disappointing evolution of the series. The core gameplay still works great, but Game Freak needs to listen to the constructive feedback and live up to the expectations of the franchise.
