Best Eevee Evolutions For Raid And Pve In Pokemon Go

Glaceon & Leafeon Deep Dive In Pokemon Go (How Good Are They?)

So, if you are someone who is looking for an Eevee evolution which excels in Raids and other PvE areas, this category is for you. The Eevee evolutions listed here performs really well in Raids and are generally really budget-friendly in terms of both Candy and Stardust.

So, here are the best Eevee evolutions for Raids and PvE in Pokemon Go.

Leafeon Is Definitely Better

From its incredible defensive stats to its wide movepool coverage, Leafeon is easily superior to Glaceon. Some of Leafeon’s most notable moves are leaf blade and swords dance, Which, If used the right way, Can sweep several teams. It can also cover its weakness to fire with dig, And can learn x-scissor to counter psychic, Dark, And fellow grass types. Aerial ace is a wonderful move for coverage as well. Glaceon, On the other hand, Doesn’t have a movepool that supports its stats accordingly, And has really bad speed in comparison.

Go Beyond Level 40 With Eeveelutions

With the recently announced increase in the level cap, reaching the top levels in Pokémon Go now requires completing Special Level-Up Research. For level 42, Trainers need to evolve one of each of Eevee’s unique evolutions. This task isn’t retroactive either, so you will need to evolve all seven again, even if you have them already. Fortunately, most veteran trainers have tons of Eevee Candy, so even the random chance of Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon shouldn’t been too hard on your existing stash of candies.

Eevee Evolutions: How To Evolve Into Sylveon Glaceon Leafeon Umbreon Espeon Vaporeon Flareon And Jolteon In Pokemon Go

Eevee Evolution is meant to be a random process in Pokemon Go. Once you press evolve on an Eevee, you have a random chance of getting one of the original three eeveelutions. The others can be obtained through other means, all of which require a bit of effort. There’s also some useful shortcuts and cheats of a sort to get around the random factor. We’ll detail all of that below.

There’s seven Eevee Evolutions in the game so far. Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon from generation 1 are completely down to random chance. Umbreon and Espeon from generation 2 and Leafeon and Glaceon from generation 3 are obtained in specific ways. The final Eevee Evolution is Sylveon, from generation 6, and it was finally added to the game in May 2021.

So, which Eevee Evolution do you want? You’ll want to carefully consider this – each evolved form of Eevee is a different type, so you’ll want to consider strengths and weaknesses with our Pokemon Go Type Chart, at least. Plus which you think is cutest.

To Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon:

Pokemon Go Leafeon And Glaceon Guide: How To Evolve Eevee
  • Make sure you have the 25 Eevee Candy you need for the evolution.
  • Buy a Mossy Lure Module from the PokéShop for 200 PokéCoins
  • Use the Mossy Lure Module on a PokéStop.
  • Spin the PokéStop.
  • While you are still in range of the PokéStop*, choose the Eevee you want to evolve.
  • Hit the Evolve button.
  • Note: It would seem as though you need to be within the normal range of the PokéStop in order to evolve Leafeon or Glaceon – not the extended radius. Always be sure to check that the icon in the evolve button is the right Pokémon and not a question mark.

How To Get Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon In Pokemon Go

The first Eeveelutions, Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon are relatively easy to obtain in Pokemon Go. To evolve Eevee into them, trainers simply have to feed it 25 Eevee candy. However, there is no guarantee which of the three Eevee will evolve to once youve used the nickname trick. Itll be a game of chance, but with the low candy requirement trainers will have plenty of chances to get all three.

What About Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon

Unfortunately, the original three Eeveelutions are still random. Once you’ve used the nickname trick, you’re pretty much stuck to the random number generator. Fortunately, Eevee is very common and has been around since day one, so most players have entire teams of Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon, but if you’re having trouble getting the one you want, you can always trade another player.

How To Rename Eevee To Evolve Into Sylveon Leafeon Glaceon Umbreon Espeon Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon

Evolving Eevee using the required 25 Eevee candy will produce a random evolution. However, you can control which type it turns into by renaming the monster beforehand:

    • Rename “Kira” to evolve into Fairy-type Sylveon
    • Rename “Linnea” to evolve into Grass-type Leafeon
    • Rename “Rea” to evolve into Ice-type Glaceon
    • Rename “Sakura” to evolve into Psychic-type Espeon
    • Rename “Tamao” to evolve into Dark-type Umbreon
    • Rename “Rainer” to evolve into Water-type Vaporeon
    • Rename “Sparky” to evolve into Electric-type Jolteon
    • Rename “Pyro” to evolve into Fire-type Flareon

There are some caveats here. This only works one time per evolution, so if you plan to use your Eeveelution in battle, make sure you’ve chosen an Eevee with favourable stats. The naming trick is currently the only guaranteed way to evolve Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon – once you’ve done it once, it’ll be up to random chance if you get another, regardless of what you’ve named it.

There are tricks to reliably evolving the other Eevee varieties more than once, though…

How To Catch An Eevee In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

How to Get Leafeon and Glaceon – Pokemon Go

Raising Pokemon has always been a multistep process, and that process has begun more often than not with the fine art of tossing Poke Balls at their heads until they relent and join your party. In Pokemon BDSP, you must find an Eevee first before you can obtain a Leafeon. Let’s go over how exactly to make that happen.

Eevee doesn’t show up on any regional routes or even in caves of any kind. Instead, you will need to fulfill a considerable qualification before you can receive one you need to become the Sinnoh Champion. Put another way, you cannot get an Eevee in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl until after you’ve beaten the game.

It’s a bummer, but it’s also true to form this is how things were in the original Diamond & Pearl, after all. Thankfully, once you’ve become the champion there’s very little left that you need to do.

  • Fly to Sandgem Town and strike up a conversation with Professor Rowan.
  • Now fly to Hearthome City, enter Bebe’s house, and have a chat with her.
  • Bebe hands you an Eevee, no questions asked!
  • Not exactly an arduous endeavor.

    Master League: 25 / 5

With a max CP of 2944 Leafeon falls behind in stats to compete well with the legendaries in Master League. Thanks to the CP cap being removed in this league, Leafeon is able to take revenge for its loss against Meganium in Ultra League, and interestingly enough is still capable of beating most Pokemon that have a weakness to Grass, including Groudon and Kyogre. Despite this, inadequate stats and little coverage makes other options more considerable for this league.

How To Evolve Multiple Umbreons And Espeons

A second method of evolving Eevee into Umbreon and Espeon exists, and it’s surprisingly easy. Simply make Eevee your buddy Pokémon and walk 10km. You can then evolve your Eevee at night to unlock Umbreon, or during the day for Espeon. You can easily tell if it’s day or night by looking at the colour of your map or listening to the game’s music, but ensure that you have good signal before evolving – the game needs to know the time of day in your exact location and if your signal drops at the wrong moment, you’ll get a Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon no matter how far you’ve walked.

With so many evolutions to choose from, you want to make sure that you get your favorite – so let’s talk about how to evolve Eevee in Pokemon Go.

For our money, Eevee is one of the coolest Pokemon. It’s one of the cutest of the original Red/Blue/Green generation of Pokemon games, yes, and it’s just been promoted to starter status for Pokemon Let’s Go – but the coolest thing about Eevee is how it evolves. Eevee can evolve into more different Pokemon than any other species discovered so far – and of course that carries over to Pokemon Go.

Ice Shard + Icy Wind And Avalanche Or Last Resort* Or Water Pulse*

leafeon shiny eevee evolutions pokemon go 156959 ...

Glaceon has similar issues to Leafeon, which is the lack of adequate coverage among its movesets. Ice Shard deals slightly less damage than Frost Breath, but returns more energy.

Icy Wind is recommended for its debuff utility on the opponent, in addition to its lesser energy cost and STAB damage. Avalanche can be chosen for much stronger damage, but doesn’t provide any extra coverage. Last Resort and Water Pulse can only be obtained from Community Day events or Elite TMs, but are somewhat poor moves for coverage. The latter is more favorable due to its coverage against Fire and Rock Pokemon, as well as not being resisted by common Steel Pokemon. Ice Beam falls behind other moves in terms of performance.

    • Glaceon: Frost Breath and Avalanche
    • Sylveon: Charm and Dazzling Gleam

    • Umbreon: Snarl with Last Resort and Foul Play
    • Sylveon: Charm and Psyshock and Moonblast

You can also replace Last Resort on Umbreon with Psychic to win some matchups.

Is Glaceon Good In Pokemon Go Best Moveset And Pvp Details

Glaceon performs better than Leafeon in two out of the three main GO Battle Leagues, however, its Great League performance really lets it down overall. It ranks as the 444th best Pokemon in that division.

Thankfully, it doesnt perform anywhere nearly as bad in the Ultra League, coming in at 148th and it does even better in the Master League, due to its ability to take on Flying and Dragon-type Pokemon.

PVPoke ranks it as the 48th best option in the whole division, with Glaceon picking up key wins against Togekiss, Dragonite, Yveltal, Gyarados, Groudon and more.

Sadly, Glaceons best moveset doesnt require its Community Day move, you can check it out below:

What You Need To Know About Eevee In Pokmon Go

LEAFEON & GLACEON NAME TRICK! – How to get Leafeon & Glaceon 100% in Pokémon GO!

Eevee is a Normal-type Pokémon from the first generation. Its resistant to Ghost-type Pokémon, from which it receives only 39% of damage, and its at its strongest when it uses Quick Attack and Last Resort as its moves. However, avoid matching it against Fighting-type Pokémon, like Blaziken and Gallade, since its weak to this Pokémon type.

Eevee doesnt really have the most impressive stats in Pokémon Go. Its max CP is only at 1,210, and its Attack, Defense, and Stamina stats are only at 104, 114, and 146, respectively. That said, Eevee is a good Pokémon to have because of its many different evolution forms, which all boast much higher max CPs and combat stats.

Another great thing about Eevee is that its a common Pokémon in Pokémon GO, and since its a Normal-type, you can find it in almost any location. It isnt as common as Pokémon like Rattata and Zubat, which are practically everywhere, but it shouldnt be too hard to come across and capture one either.

How Do You Evolve More Umbreon Or Espeon In Pokmon Go

If you’ve already used the nickname trick, and want to get another Umbreon or Espeon, these two Eeveelutions can also be controlled in Pokémon Go. If you just hit the Evolve button, you will get either Vaporeon, Flareon, or Jolteon completely at random. To get Umbreon or Espeon, you need to raise your Buddy Pokémon’s Friendship level:

  • Make the Eevee you want to evolve your Buddy.
  • Walk with your Eevee Buddy for at least 10 KM and earn two Eevee candy.
  • While that Eevee is still your Buddy, hit the Evolve button during the day to get Espeon, or at night to get Umbreon.
  • You can swap out Eevee for another Buddy, but you’ll have to swap Eevee back to being your Buddy before you try to evolve Umbreon or Espeon.

  • Buy a Glacial Lure Module from the PokéShop for 200 PokéCoins

    Pokemon Go: Leafeon Move Analysis

After taking a dive into all the moves Leafeon has available to it in Pokemon GO, the move list is broken into two Fast Moves, three Charge Moves, and a Legacy Charge Move:

    Fast Moves

    Legacy Charge Moves

    • Last Resort

Since most Pokemon retain five total moves on their move list, Leafeon has a little bit more diversity, albeit one move being a hard-to-obtain Legacy Charge Move. Picking the right moves can be tricky, but thankfully Pokemon GO’s community has compiled stats on Leafeons movesets so that trainers can make the call for what moves they need.

As of July 2021, the best overall combination of moves for Leafeon with regards to damage are Razor Leaf and Leaf Blade for both PvE and PvP. These moves provide the highest Damage Per Second and Total Damage Overall when compared to all other possible movesets for Leafeon at this time.

Razor Leaf in general is just a great Grass-type move, especially for Grass-type Pokemon able to take advantage of its STAB damage bonus. While Leaf Blade doesn’t hit as hard as Solar Beam or Energy Ball, it charges significantly faster by comparison and can often be used multiple times per bout when charged quickly enough with a move like Razor Leaf.

When it comes to Damage Per Energy , Leaf Blade also holds up well over the other options.

In the event an opposing Pokemon is resisting Leafeon’s Grass-type attacks, having a Normal-type move like Last Resort is beneficial.

How to get a Leafeon in Pokemon GO

Once you have used the naming trick for these three Pokémon, a normal evolutionon Eevee will have an equal random chance of getting Vaporeon,Jolteon, or Flareon.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Sylveon In Pokmon Go

Sylveon was finally released into Pokémon Go on May 25th, 2021 as part of the Luminous Legends Y event.

Though it can only be used once, the easiest way to evolve an Eevee into Sylveon is to change its nickname to Kira and ensure you have at least 25 Eevee Candy.

Before you press evolve, however, make sure the silhouette for Sylveon is on the evolve button – if it’s not then you’re Eevee may evolve into a different Eeveelution.

If this does occur for the you, it can be easily fixed by closing Pokémon Go and opening it again.

Once you’ve used the name trick, Eevee can be evolved into Sylveon by earning 70 Buddy hearts with it, which means your chosen Eevee needs to be at Great Buddy Level. Swapping buddies will not reset your progress towards Sylveon, so feel free to change your Buddy Pokémon freely.

You’ll also still need 25 Eevee Candy.

This evolution method is in keeping with how you must have a high friendship level with an Eevee, along with it knowing a fairy-type move, if you wish to evolve it into a Sylveon in the main-line series.

Don’t worry about Eevee evolving into Espeon or Umbreon instead, because, thanks to gamewith_pkgo from Twitter, we know Sylveon will appear as a separate evolution option, allowing you to pick the correct Eeveeultion.

You can also evolve a shiny or flower crown Eevee to earn yourself a shiny or flower crown Sylveon.
