Walmart and Target were a couple of the most popular stores to purchase Pokémon cards.
However, the competitiveness surrounding Pokémon fans urged both stores to halt sales of the cards.
At one Target in Wisconsin, a fight broke out between two people trying to grab the last package of Pokémon cards.
The supply chain issue facilitated by the pandemic has caused some stores to experience low stock of Pokémon cards, to the dismay of avid fans.
When the scuffle turned violent, Target announced that it would no longer be selling the beloved cards in-store, and Walmart soon followed suit.

There are many brand exclusives, but for some reason this collaboration just sounds funny. Were not going to complain though because were getting an exclusive holofoil of Charizard! It just so happens that the card can only be bought at Costco. If thats not worth the membership fee then I dont know what is.
PokeBeach broke the news that this was a Canadian Costco offering after being sent images from a fan of their blog. The cards included are a repack of other previously distributed cards. The cool thing however is that some of the cards originally sold are now holographic.
The package includes new cosmo holofoil versions of:
- Charizard from Team Up
- Dragonite from Unified Minds
- Mewtwo from Unbroken Bonds.
Were unsure if these cards will be offered in the United States but seeing as how weve had major issues with people buying up cards and reselling Costco might opt not to. Though I could see them selling quite a few more memberships just so people had the chance to get these.

How Often Does Bjs Restock Pokemon Cards
Pokemon card collectors are always waiting for the next release date. Unfortunately, as of now, BJs Club doesnt have any information released to the public of when they restock Pokemon cards. While all Pokemon card sets available from BJs are currently in stock, if they do go out of stock members will have the option to be notified by email when they restock.
There also hasnt been any information released to the public of whether or not BJs plans to add more Pokemon card sets to their selection. Every year, there are Pokemon TCG sets released approximately four times a year.

How Often Does Costco Restock Magic: The Gathering Cards
This will be dependent on the store. As with most major stores, Costco will have external companies come in and restock their trading cards.
In most cases, the cards are going to be restocked just before the weekend. So, if you head to Costco and they are out of trading cards, then you may want to return on a Thursday or Friday. This is when they tend to go back into stock.
In terms of the time of the restock, this can be unpredictable. Most people report that the restocks will happen around the middle of the day, but this is going to vary based on the store.

Restocking rules are where things can get a little tricky. Generally, Costco isnt going to restock a set until it runs out. While more common sets may be scheduled to restock often, your best bet is to visit your local Costco and to simply ask.
This is going to be the most reliable way to find out if there are any regular times when you should definitely show up or if your local Costco is simply going to wait until the majority of the sets are sold. We also cannot stress enough just how quickly these discounted sets tend to sell out. Chances are you may not even be able to get your hands on them.
You must remember that you have to pay for a Costco membership too. This means that the price may not even work out cheaper than elsewhere, especially if you are planning on only purchasing trading cards from Costco.
Some people will keep hold of a Costco membership in the hope that they are able to take advantage of the major discounts that happen at the company from time to time. Still, we find that so rare that it probably isnt worth holding onto a membership for that alone.

Costco is getting its very own exclusive Charizard Pokemon card to sell to customers. PokeBeach reports that Costco stores in Canada are now selling a Pokemon Trading Card package containing five Kanto Power Mini Tins along with four promo cards. Interestingly, one of these promo cards is a Charizard card from the “Sun & Moon – Team Up” expansion with a new cosmos holofoil treatment. Other promo cards in the set include a Pikachu from “Shining Legends,” a Mewtwo from “Unbroken Bonds,” and a Dragonite from “Unified Minds.” The package costs $48.99 in Canadian dollars, or about $40 in US dollars. So far, the package has only appeared in Canadian Costco stores.
Charizard cards tend to be hot commodities on the secondary market, and it wouldn’t surprise us if this card quickly started appearing on eBay selling for $40 or more. A previous promo version of the same card, released as part of the pre-release for “Team Up,” is currently selling for about $45 on card seller stores.
