Gyms are where players teach their captured Pokémon to fight. At Pokéstops, trainers can pick up extra Poké Balls, snacks and medicine for their captives. The real life location of gyms and Pokéstops is likely to be a public place of interest.

As of June 2017, a new feature has been added to the game. Raid Battles can take place when a raid boss takes over a gym and then players have to team up to take down the boss. Up to 20 trainers can join in the battle and they must be at the location of the gym to take part and have reached level 20 or above to take part.

Normal is a plain type. Some people say its useless, but others say its great. Id say Normal type pokmon are good, many of them have good status and they have only one weakness, Fighting, and are competely immune to Ghost, although they resist no other type. Normal type attacks, however, are not as good. No type is weak to them, but Ghost is immune to Normal and Rock and Steel resist it. But Normal attacks can be the solution to your problems anyway, as most pokmon can learn Normal attacks and many of them are strong. The Normal type is a physical type, so all Normal attacks are counted as physical attacks.

Fire is a hot type. Fire is a powerful type that should be on every team. Scizor and Forretress, both very common in teams, are only weak to Fire. Fire is super effective on Bug, Steel, Grass and Ice and is not very effective on Fire, Water, Rock and Dragon. No type is immune to Fire. Water, Rock and Ground are super effective on Fire pokmon and Fire, Grass, Bug, Ice and Steel are not very effective on them. The Fire type is a special type, so all Fire attacks are counted as special attacks.

What Characteristics Should I Look Out For

If your card has passed all the tests so far, its time to take a closer look. An easy and dependable way to check if a Pokémon card is fake is to compare it to a real card. Look at the two cards and see if there are any easy-to-spot differences. Does the written text on each card match up word-for-word? For example, a fake might have slightly different description text or a different attack than the original or different punctuation.

Also compare the physical characteristics of the card with the original. Is the card in question the same size as the original? If its larger or smaller than a standard card from the set, its likely a fake.

Another important consideration is the cardstock. The hardest element of a counterfeit to recreate is the cardstock. Does the card bend in a similar way or does one feel flimsy and bend more easily? Hold the card in question up to a flashlight. Oftentimes, the light will pass through fakes more than a real card because the cardstock isnt as high quality.

Compare the two cards carefully. A common characteristic of a fake card is lower print quality which can lead to slightly blurry text. Compare the text of the card in question to another card. Does the text look a little blurry? A real card will have clean, crisp printing on the font. Fakes will have lower quality print, which is most visible when looking at the tiny text. Also compare the colours on the cards. Make sure that the color saturation is the same.

• Super effective moves will deal double the damage, whereas weak moves will deal half. There are also a few moves that will deal no damage at all, such as normal-type attacks against ghost-types.
• Dual-types also play an important role. Dual-type Pokemon, as the name suggests, have two types. If the move you are using is effective against both the opposing Pokemons typing, it will deal 4x the damage. Conversely, if the move is weak against both, then it will be just ¼ of the overall damage.

The best example of a super-effective type attack is using a water attack against a rock and/or ground type. In this instance, Geodude would be 4x more susceptible against any water Pokemon attacks directed at it.

The opposite of this would occur when a Fairy-type move is used a mon like Heatran, which is a dual steel/fire-type. This would result in just ¼ of the damage.

What Grades Can A Card Get

So you are sending off your card to PSA or another company that works with them to get your cards graded, but what do the scores mean?

PSA operate a ten point grading scale, when a card is sent in to them for evaluation theyll check the cards colouring, corners, edges, centring, authenticity and everything else about it and after that theyll give it a score between 1 and 10, 10 being the best quality card, 1 being the worst quality card. Lets take a look at what those scores mean specifically:-

There are some circumstances that will result in a card not receiving any grade on the above scale, these could be anything from obvious signs of doctoring, trimming or just general non-authenticity.

Ultimately if you are getting cards graded, you will want to be confident of getting good grades, whilst there are greater experts on the subject than myself, personally if I am paying to have a card graded and having it sent off to the states etc, I want to know that its going to grade reasonably well.

How To Evolve Eevee Leafeon And Glaceon

Finally Eevee evolutions got even more confusing in Pokémon GO with the addition of Gen 4s Leafeon and Glaceon. This time youll need an item, or someone around you will need to use one that you can access. To evolve Eevee into Leafeon you need to be within range of a Poké Stop that has an active Mossy Lure on it. You can see this on the map with flying leaves surrounding it. Glaceon requires the Stop to instead have a Glacial Lure on it, which will display with swirling ice. The easiest way to earn Coins is by defending Gyms. To do this, you just have to be near enough to a Gym with your teams colours. First, click it, then click the plus icon, then choose a Pokemon to add. You wont be able to add another Pokemon already in the Gym , you can only use Pokemon at full health, and gyms are limited to six Pokemon. Its best to use a Pokemon with a high defense stat like Blissey, Snorlax, or Slaking, and to try and vary the types compared to Pokemon already in the Gym.

However, if its in a busy area which tends to get taken over a lot, its often best to just put a weak, newly caught Pokemon in there, since then you wont need to waste Revives and Potions healing it afterwards.

Speaking of Gyms getting taken over, if a Gym is not your teams colours, instead of a plus icon there will be a battle icon. Youll have to fight the Pokemon in the Gym to gradually wear their health down until its clear, allowing you to turn it your teams colours by adding a Pokemon.

You earn 1 coin for every 10 minutes a Pokemon defends a Gym, and you can have as many Pokemon in as many different Gyms as you like. However, your daily rewards are capped at 50 coins per day, meaning whether your Pokemon defends a gym for 8 hours and 20 minutes or for 6 days, the rewards are the same.
